  1. CD Projekt RED said a non-lethal run is possible in Cyberpunk 2077.
  2. That KD injury looked and sounds really bad. He might be out a year and may never be the same.
  3. I would describe this announcement as tepid. Here are a couple GPUs with similar performance and similarly priced to the mid to mid/high end our competitor has had out for months. Yay? Granted, this is about what I expected. It will take a while for Team Red to catch back up to Team Green, assuming they do catch up.
  4. I guess the biggest positive of the R9 3950X, as compared to Threadripper, is that it doesn't require a ludicrously expensive motherboard. Either way, 16 cores is just overkill at this time. Unless you are constantly doing heavy encoding, or something similar where the extra cores will actually make a difference, buying a16 core CPU is simply showing off your **** size. I'm probably going to wait a while before doing a new desktop build, hopefully the refresh of Ryzen 3 is out by then, and maybe we'll even get a Radeon GPU that's mildly exciting by then so that I could do a fully Team Red build, though I'm not holding my breath on the latter part after seeing the Navi cards they just announced.
  5. I'm definitely interested in Watch_Dogs Brexit. Obviously, we need to take the claim that we can recruit and play as any NPC with a grain of salt. I imagine that outside of a few main scripted characters, the rest will be procedurally generated and draw from a pool of generic voice lines that they will likely modulate a bit to make the voices sound different. I am also 99.99999999999999999999% sure that they will monetize this and sell unique characters for you to have join your DedSec gang. I don't much care about this so long as I can make a whole gang of senior citizen hackers, even if they are generic... Although, if Ubi were to put out a DedSec Geritol pack, get 2 unique grannies and 2 unique grandpas I doubt I could resist. Dammit!
  6. Not gonna lie, I'd drop $4.99 on a Gina Carano DLC.
  7. Work continues on my capital in Conan Exiles. The initial thrall housing is complete. I'll add more later as my city expands, but there's room for everyone I currently have there. I hooked them up too. Everybody has their own room with a nice comfy queen size bed. There are big dining tables and plenty of seating in common areas, and the whole place is lit up by stylish purple colored radium torches. With that complete, I have begun work on a defensive wall surrounding the northern side of the city (the southern side is a sheer cliff). I'm building it fairly far out from the current complex to leave room for expansion, plus I'm making it fairly tall and with several guard towers, so this project will take a looooong time. In the future I plan to add a bathhouse, an ampitheater, and other structures, but I feel defenses should take priority, even if I play with The Purge disabled.
  8. I've never played the Spellforce games. They're like a RPG/RTS hybrid?
  9. Bethesda presentation was hardcore cringe. It had some good stuff, namely Ghostwire, Deathloop, and Doom Eternal. I was facepalming for the rest of it. I don't know if that was a paid shill or a really drunk guy in the audience, but my man was really obnoxious. It may have been multiple people. I dunno.
  10. I should add that I'm also hyped for Dying Light 2, but I'm waiting for the Squeenix presentation to see more of the game. I know it won't happen, but I would love it if at the beginning of the Bethesda presentation Todd Howard comes out and just bluntly says: "Look, I know we screwed the pooch with Fallout 76, and I get people are now worried about TES VI. I'm not going to blow smoke up your ass (again), but I will say that we're scrapping out crappy engine and just making TES VI in UE4. Our writing is still going to be ass, though. Baby steps."
  11. Why are boiled peanuts so incredibly delicious? They're just peanuts that are boiled (potentially with cajun spices) and they are several orders of magnitude more delicious than either raw or roasted peanuts.
  12. A Scanner Darkly. That movie was tripped the **** out.
  13. Johnny Mnemonic is underrated. It's not a classic, or anything, but it is a fun movie.
  14. Anyway, XBOX presentation highlights for me: Cyberpunk 2077 Ori 2 Outer Worlds Tales of Arise Microsoft Flight Simulator
  15. Have you not seen John Wick? Beyond that, while I obviously don't know Keanu personally, he's widely regarded as one of the most genuinely nice SUPER MEGA GIGA HYPER stars in Hollywood.
  16. Keanu Reeves! Keanu Mother****ing Reeves! I feel bad for the game that had to follow that... whatever it was.
  17. When I predicted that the Dubs would win, and easily, I assumed KD would be back for game 1, or game 2 or 3, at worst. Instead, KD still has yet to return and the Dubs have just kept getting more injured in the meantime. Yikes. If the Dubs were to somehow magically return to full strength for game 5 then I'd say they still have a chance, not a great one mind you.
  18. It looks fairly linear, which is a good thing. I like open world games as much as the next guy, but Lord knows we have no shortage of those. Sometimes, a deliberately paced, well controlled, mostly linear experience is just what the doctor ordered. If I were the cynical sort, I would say "How will EA **** this up?". And I am, so I'm saying it.
  19. After going through The Dregs dungeon in Conan Exiles and defeating the boss I followed the directions given with an item I got from the boss fight and This wasn't part of the main quest, but it was a fun adventure which got me a bunch of XP, a cool item that sort of serves as a hint and lore dispenser, and a bunch of new crafting recipes. Now, I'm going to concentrate on working on my compound for a bit and upgrading my Derketo shrine to tier 3 (I'm pretty close), before doing some more main quest stuff.
  20. Sounds like an egregious oversight by the developer.
  21. This place looks inviting: A voice? I'm sure it will be fine. No possible way this could be a trap. This looks interesting: Let's investigate... What in the Sam Hill? What's pictured is only the top part of the beastie. I was too bust fighting it to get a more complete picture. I could see how this could be a difficult battle... However Meanwhile back home, the crafting hall is complete and work has begun on thrall housing. I also built a platform that juts out of the top of the cliff on which I have my wheel of pain, that way my new recruits can look over the edge and see the 500 foot drop as they toil away on the wheel, for extra motivation. Here's the whole complex in its current state:: Eventually I'm going to build a vaguely semi-circular wall on top of the cliff to protect the whole complex. I plan to make its radius significantly larger than what is necessary to enclose the current complex, as I want to leave plenty of room so that I can expand the complex into a city. I may build more outposts elsewhere, but I plan to make this my capital.
  22. I'll just link to a previous post where I talk about the game: tl;dr game good
