I get that, I use Netflix and Pandora myself, and I could see the appeal if it was just a subscription service. Pay $15 a month and you have access to 1000 games, or whatever. I'm still not sure if it would be for me, but I could see the selling point. But if I gotta pay $60 a pop to be able to stream games, I fail to see the appeal. If I have to pay a monthly subscription AND pay $60 a pop on top of that... (that rumor can't be true, can it?) I mean, I know there are some stupid people out there, but damn.

I can't think of a single person that has expressed enthusiasm for Stadia, outside of people obviously shilling for Google. Heck, I've tried to keep a level head about this and come up with some kind of compelling argument as to why ANYONE would want this. The only thing I can think of is that you don't need to buy any hardware, aside from that fugly controller. I mean, there's the obvious argument of portability, but that argument falls apart because of the aforementioned lack of quality internet in a lot of parts of the world. Plus, if you are going to use Stadia on the go, and where else would you use it, you are probably going to be doing it over wifi, so you are going to incur an extra wifi latency tax in addition to the cloud gaming latency tax that you always have to pay no matter what.

^ I have corrupted another one... You knew Ryu Ga Gotoku had to throw this in somewhere: D'aww : So this happened: The best part is that I got to keep the vampire disguise afterwards and I can use it any time I can use a disguise, so I can do things like this, that are not at all creepy:

I've reached chapter 6 of Judgment. As I've stated before, this is a Yakuza game in everything except name. It plays just like a Yakuza game, but there are some new gameplay elements. Some reviewers didn't like some of these new gameplay elements, on the grounds of them being tedious, and I can see where they are coming from. I'm into them because I'm one of those rare weirdos that enjoys slowly tailing a suspect while remaining unnoticed (think: every AssCreed game), pixel hunting a scene for evidence, and carefully considering which piece of evidence to present to prove my point. My biggest complaint is that these gameplay elements, so far at least, seem to be way too easy. Also, there seems to be no fail state or punishment for selecting wrong dialogue choices, outside of possibly losing a few SP which you can easily make up for with about 20 seconds of kicking the **** out of mooks on the street. Still, I appreciate Ryo Ga Gotoku attempting to add crime solving elements into the game, I just hope they make them a bit more in-depth and more difficult/punishing in future Judgment titles (we better get sequels!), Even if the gameplay sucked, I'd still gladly play this for the story alone. Developers should be made to play Yakuza games as a lesson in how to properly tell a story. It's almost not fair how good these guys are at that aspect of game design. To say that I'm invested would be putting it lightly, I'm on the edge of my seat and chomping at the bit to find out what happens next, all while formulating my own theories.

And the guy sniffing the panties in the earlier set of pictures is the Panty Professor. They're 2 of a trio of perverts terrorizing women in Kamurocho. I am giddy with anticipation to find out the name and fetish of the third pervert.

Yes. The answer to that question is always yes. Never change, Ryo Ga Gotoku, never ever change.

I loved Sleeping Dogs. It's a GTA-style open world game with a lot more focus on fisticuffs over shooty shooty (though it does have guns). It's a bit shorter than you'd expect for that style of game (I think it took me 30-ish hours and that's with doing a lot of the side content). My biggest issue with the game is that there were a lot of characters that were introduced and then you barely if ever saw them again. They'd introduce this interesting character to me, I'd be all types of ready to find out more about them, and the game would just move on and I'd never see them again. Sleeping Dogs could have used another 5 to 10 hours in length to flesh out some of these characters. On the positive side, great setting, fun combat, and man who never eat pork but is never a whole man. I scooped up La Mulana 2 during the Steam Summer Sale. I loved the original game and can't wait to get lost in some mysterious ruins.

^ I'm wearing Flawless Royal Lemurian in the pictures (All Lemurian armor is epic, there is no non-epic Lemurian armor to the best of my knowledge). There are a few spots inside the frost temple where it's so cold the armor by itself isn't enough for you to start taking damage, but the armor + spiced food/drink gets you warm enough to be fine. Hrugnir's throne room is warm enough that you don't need to worry about it. I haven't constructed the map room yet. I have the corrupted stone, I'm currently working on making enough alchemical base. I'd like to think that from a RP perspective, if you use the keystone the bracelet still functions, you can just put it on or take it off at will. I have my keystone in a chest in my bedroom just below my throne room. Anyway, have some more Judgment screenies. Close shave: Lady Crimson, is that you?: Saori best girl: Adultery in progress:

I'm on chapter 2 in Judgment. Chapter 1 is very linear, it has no side cases at all, everything is main story. Once you get to chapter 2 the game opens up and you get the side content you expect from a Yakuza game (this isn't technically a Yakuza game, but for all intents and purposes it's a Yakuza game). The story is great so far, but that was never in question. Ryu Ga Gotoku are, and have always been, great at storytelling. The writing is great, the characters, whether prominent or obscure, all have personality, the pacing is spot on. These folks know how to tell a story. I can also happily confirm that the English translation and voice acting in this game is top-notch. SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku have put more effort into the western localization than any previous title and hopefully it sells like hotcakes in the west because this level of effort is appreciated. So whether you go with Japanese voice with English subtitles or English voice, you're going to get a premium experience. There are also some quality of life improvements over Yakuza. For example, you no longer have to keep holding X to sprint, you can just press it once and Yagami will keep sprinting as long as you keep moving. Also, I like the combat in this game better than Yakuza. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it seems to flow a little better. Also, you can do attacks jumping off walls, which is all types of rad, though I need to work a lot on my aim with those attacks. Another small improvement is that you no longer trigger a cutscene for most fights (you do for boss fights). When you run into common mooks on the street you fight them right there on the street without a break in gameplay. In Yakuza games you fought them in, for all intents and purposes, an instance. I like how the bystanders react when a fight breaks out. Some flee, some stand around and cheer on the fight, and some film it on their phones, in landscape mode, of course, because people in Japan aren't disgusting degenerates. On the negative side, it looks like there's no karaoke mini-game. I get they had to remove some mini-games since they added some new ones, but of all the mini-games to remove, why karaoke? It's arguably the most popular mini-game in the Yakuza games.

I defeated the last 3 main bosses and finished the main story in Conan Exiles. The Undead Dragon, pictured above, was by far the hardest boss fight I've had so far. I died a handful of times before I had it figured out, and even then I had to burn through a ton of infused aloe extract to defeat it. It does a metric ****ton of damage if it hits you even if you are wearing high-end armor and it has a bajillion HP, so it takes forever to kill, even with a top of the line weapon, like my black ice broadsword. I didn't actually use The Keystone, though, as doing so plays a cutscene and literally deletes your character. I'm going to install a mod that visually removes the slave bracelet from your wrist and another mod that allows you to walk through the ghost fence without dying, though I'm pretty sure there's nothing beyond the ghost fence. Mainly it's to signify that I have removed the bracelet and am free to come and go from the Exiled Lands as I please, without actually ending the game so that I can keep playing. From a RP perspective, my character wouldn't want to leave the Exiled Lands, not permanently anyway. She's queen here, this is her land. Besides, I have to finish building my capital and there are still other adventures to be had, like the recently added Dagon dungeon. Back in my throne room... Need more treasure!

She could remarry and get a new family, and you can always get a new dog.

Outrage sells. It's the reason sensationalism exists, has existed, and will continue to exist in the media. The reason facebook, youtube and others often suggests content to you that provokes or angers you isn't some vast conspiracy, they use algorithms to suggest content to you that is the most likely to keep you engaged. It doesn't matter if you are engaged in a positive or a negative way, whether you are happy, amused, sad, or angry; the only thing that matters to them is that you generate clicks, since that's what advertisers are after. Unfortunately, the reality is that things that anger people, on average, tend to engage them more than things that are heartwarming. It sucks, but the nature of most people is to react more strongly toward negative things than positive. There are people out there that are exceptions to this rule, and God bless them, but for the rest of us, we have to constantly work on ignoring the negative and embracing the positive. The struggle is real.

I made a voyage into the frozen north to hunt for star metal ore. I never did find any, but I did come across the Frost Temple: I figured while I'm here, I might as well have a look inside. On a side note, you wouldn't think that Lemurian Royal Garb would provide cold resistance by looking at it, what with all the exposed skin, yet it does. I'm assuming the logic behind that is the same as a chain bikini protecting against physical attacks. The frost giants in and around the temple are some of the easiest high level enemies I have ever encountered. Outside of mountain goats, they may be the easiest enemy located in the entire cold region of the game. 95% of the damage you see thet I've taken in the screenshot above was from cold exposure, not physical damage from the giants. Hrugnir, the Frost Giant King: Much like the common frost giants, Hrugnir is extremely easy to fight, provided you are wearing armor that allows you to dodge roll (light or medium). I would go so far as to say that he's the easiest boss I've fought, even easier than the giant crocodile in the cave with all the brimstone. I mean, I'm sure he hits really really hard, especially with his impressive looking charge attack, but that doesn't matter if he never hits you. I didn't even bother cheesing him with snake arrows, and there's plenty of room to kite him for days in his throne room if you want to take that approach. Cutting him down with my axe was very easy. I wound up coming back to the Frost Temple later on another expedition hunting for star metal ore (successful this time!), but also because I wanted to use the Frost Temple Smithy located there now that I knew what I needed to forge items there: I made this Black Ice Broadsword and a Black Ice Pick. These black ice weapons and tools can only be forged at this smithy, so if you plan on going to the Frost Temple, do yourself a favor and bring along a hardened steel sword and a hardened steel pick (you will also need black ice, but there's tons of the stuff to mine inside the temple). The black ice broadsword pictured above might not be the prettiest sword ever made, but it does massive amounts of damage. You won't ever need to return to the smithy once you forge everything you need, you can repair black ice weapons and tools with black ice and hardened steel yourself on the go.

Agreed. There's no big conspiracy, it's a case of the usual suspects of the attention whore socjus outrage internet bully squad doing some moral grandstanding. They do this **** all the time, it happens to be Cyberpunk 2077 at this time because it was by far the most prominent game at E3, and thus the biggest target. Any by that same token, you have your usual suspects of anti-socjus attention whores condemning the socjus attention whores and coming up with conspiracy theories. It's the usual cycle of sensationalism surrounding a complete non-issue.

I finally hit lev 60 in Conan Exiles. I haven't crafted Silent Legion armor yet, since it requires a lot of star metal to craft, and star metal is extremely scarce and difficult to acquire, but I did craft this swanky as **** Flawless Lemurian Royal Garb. The backdrop is the wall I'm building in its current state of completion: Relaxing up in my throne room, atop my tower: Eventually, I want to have enough piles of coins and other valuables littered all over my throne room so that it resembles a dragon hoard.

Yakuza 0 had a bunch of Asian parlor games to play as mini-games. I was almost universally completely clueless about how those games worked and mostly just ignored them. In Judgment I'm determined to try to figure them out. So far, I've only found Mahjong. The in-game manual for Mahjong is 30 pages long. 30 freaking pages! I went through the whole thing and understood maybe 10% of it. Is there a Mahjong For Western Dummies out there?

The level of scumbaggery at that EA/Epic lootbox hearing was off the charts. Props to the folks running that hearing because they were clearly seeing right through the corporate doublespeak, they even laughed at some of the ridiculous bull**** that was coming out of the execs' mouths.

Splitting time between Conan Exiles and Judgment. In Conan Exiles I'm focused on going through the Well of Skelos dungeon to acquire the 4th of 6 pieces I need to complete the main mission of the game. That dungeon is located in the heart of a volcano and you die of heat exhaustion extremely quickly in there (speaking from experience), so I'm trying to make a set of Silent Legion armor, since it has really good heat resistance. Unfortunately, that's epic tier armor and requires lev 60 to craft and I'm only lev 59 at the moment. In the meantime, I continue work on the wall around my capital. I recently finished work on the first of 3 gates that allow entrance through the wall and I'm currently finishing up the second of many guard towers. I'd say the wall is roughly 25% complete at this point. I just started playing Judgment from the developers that made the Yakuza series. The game takes place in the same Kamurocho that the Yakuza games mainly take place in, although I've yet to see any appearances from Yakuza series regulars, nor do I expect to; the developers stated that they intend to keep the universes separate, since they're going for a different tone with this game. You play as Takayuki Yagami, a former lawyer turned private detective. The main story has you investigating a series of murders. It plays very much like the Yakuza games but they have introduced some new mechanics, including tailing people, chasing people, and searching for specific people. If nothing else, I'm already loving the music in the game, it's got a really great jazzy vibe to it. Also, from a purely visual fidelity standpoint, Kamurocho has never looked so good. The characters in cutscenes have always looked extremely good in Yakuza games, but during gameplay the graphical fidelity was waaaaaay lower, at least in Yakuza 0. In Judgment the graphics during gameplay are significantly closer to the graphics in the cutscenes.
