I get the sense that ICE has rapidly ramped up their personnel, bringing in people who are inadequately trained, inexperienced, and trigger happy. The (ICE) can't fix this problem in the short term, so more citizens are going to die and the administration will continue to emit evil lies in the face of clear evidence. 🫤 Impeaching Noem to force her resignation would be a start; bring in somebody who actually has experience in domestic security in urban areas, rather than a lying politician from rural South Dakota.

I'm a long time Seahawks fan, but I can't say I feel confident heading into tomorrow's game. The playoffs are all about matchups, and LA matches up particularly well against the Hawks. But I was sort of expecting it would come to this for the NFC championship game. I hope coach Macdonald has some sort of defensive masterclass up his sleeve.

I've been watching a series on HBO/Max called "The Head" about a murder mystery at a remote Antarctic outpost (at least for the first season). It's been pretty good thus far, although the pacing is pretty slow so probably not for Gen Z types. Meanwhile: Matt Damon: Netflix Wants the Plot Explained 3 or 4 Times in Movies for Viewers Watching While Scrolling on Their Phones 🙄

Unless DJT backs off, I think the one way this could work itself out diplomatically without damaging NATO is for the US and Denmark to agree on some sort of shared "Protected territory" status for Greenland. Let Denmark and Greenland handle the political state and economy, and the US handles most of the defense matters, along with special influence on minerals handling.

This must be immensely pleasing to Putin. All he needs to do is keep stirring the Greenland issue, prompting DTJ to take action and end his most formidable deterent.

The current President is the person in power, so politically he is the subject that matters (to Congress). Choosing to go after Clinton like they are is just a distraction tactic. Unless Clinton has something pertinent to add about the current President, it's more the business of the judicial system.Reminds me of the days when large telescopes were funded by private beneficiaries, like the Hooker and Hale telescopes. Hopefully they can pull it off.It was very sad to watch that event this morning; the woman was clearly panicking and trying to flee, and was murdered for it. This administration is starting to rack up quite a body count, and I can only expect it will get worse. Well the anti-ICE folks now have their cause célèbres, so the protest will likely ramp up. I'm not opposed to anti-illegal immigration policing per se, but somehow it needs to be made clear to this administration that the abuse level is completely unacceptible. However, I suspect that all the protesting in the world will have little impact on this ruler. They're what I dub a "mockracy" -- pretending to be a democracy for propaganda purposes.It's irrelevant whether I consider him a "legitimate" leader; the government of Venezuela considered him their legitimate President. North Korea calls itself a people's democracy and holds "democratic" elections. Is there any doubt that Kim Jung Un is the legal President of North Korea?
