  1. Disgusting deplorable animal, whomever was responsible for the tragedy at Waukesha, WI Christmas parade.....
  2. So what needs to be sacrificed on the altar of 'wokeness' ? Aparently safety of women https://www.zerohedge.com/political/biological-female-prisoners-sue-california-after-officials-altered-complaints-over-trans Anyway, time to get some rest. I have a feeling this might be an interesting week ahead.
  3. https://jonathanturley.org/2021/11/20/rittenhouse-2-0-threats-of-new-litigation-fly-in-the-aftermath-of-rittenhouse-verdict/ Seems like a reasonable summary for what might happen next and various difficulties, but i guess @Gromnir would be able to comment on each of these with more detail with much more ease thab I would be ever be able to interpret based on where I sit with my level of legal knowledge
  4. Such things, only in US (or some other 3rd world countries) https://www.zerohedge.com/political/shots-fired-flash-mob-raid-nordstrom-upscale-california-town
  5. You might want to veirfy your view on legality of the arms KR had, unless these are not true. https://sports.yahoo.com/kyle-rittenhouse-didnt-illegally-bring-043226324.html
  6. The act of going there, perhaps stupid, was certainly not unlawful. By the logic of 'provocations' it was the unlawful, aggresive and destructive mob, which provoked 'protective' behavior of individuals such as KR. Once you start going who was the instigator for such a dangerous situation, perhaps, just perhaps, you should point to people devastating properties. I wonder what's the stance on the newest wave of rioting, devastation and looting in various cities last night and most likely a one, which will persist throughout the rest of the weekend. Just because people didn't like a verdict. In their minds it'd probably be best if KR was mauled to death during the original riot.
  7. Accusing victim of assault and a self defense action is the same though in terms of logic. In both scenarios provocatative behavior does not give a right to act voilently towards the 'perceived' provocation. In both cases of provocation "recklessly brandishing gun" or "having too short of a skirt in a dark place" the result can be a death or a permanent injury of the assiliant. That said, I agree with Gromnir that such a behavior is stupid and creates a dangerous situation, but provocation, no matter how stupid, does not give you right for initiating voilence, does it?
  8. Funny logic on the Rittenhouse case. By legally carrying a gun you provoke voilence against you. It's like saying wearing a short skirt to a park at night makes you provoke an r action against you. Sure, both actions are stupid, and not really responsible, but in both cases it is the assiliant that attacked first which is guilty and in both cases 'victims' have a right to self defense in all manners that they have means of, should their life be in danger.
  9. Both ratings are running down the crapper. Bidens trajectory is worst for any POTUS since WW2 and Harris is even worse as a VP. Trump got beaten at something
  10. It is iconic for this summit, that the delegates created far more carbon footprint than any other such event prior. The irony was much, when they had to install disel powered generators to set up a charging station for some EVs, which would look nice on the road and a parking near the event facilities.
  11. Fairly accurate summary of COP26. https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/glasgow-climate-summit-ends-tears-failure-and-kicking-can-commitments Nothing changes, no hard commitments, but there is some bone thrown in for the media, to make it look like there was some agreement signed, so it does not look on the surface like a total failure.
  12. Ohhh Trump has had his share of various Faux Pas... I think that the one with least ones was Obama when lookibg back from Clinton era, and those were related to your typical displays of 'american ignorance'
  13. People are having some laugh, that Biden can't keep America together, if he cannot keep his bowels under control. That loud fart incident is hilarious and a great summary of his presidency so far.
  14. Funny if true https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/youtube-hides-dislikes-following-mass-downvoting-biden-administration-videos
  15. Are media shooting themselves in the leg again, and provide more fuel for potential return of Trump? https://www.zerohedge.com/political/supercut-msm-condemns-kyle-rittenhouse-terrorist Don't knownthe full case here, but I'm sure, our resident with some more legal expertise would be able to say more about the whole process and case itself
  16. Hah, they picked the most nationalistic state in this part of EU. Putin knew what he is doing. He is making sure that anti-EU, anti-woke, super conservative party will stay in power in Poland, by stoking border fears and weaponizing various migrants. Personally, I'm a bit torn apart. On a one hand, what those people experience is often inhumane. On the other hand, they chose such a route instead of using regular ways for asylum seekers with use of consulates at countries such as Iraq or Turkey or even Iran. I'd open a series of small border post, where people would get processed and accept in the christian syrians and kurds as those are oppressed in their home country. Accept also full families from Syria and Afghanistan, and send the rest back to the country of origin (especially young, single men). Those, who cannot be vetted at such posts and dont want to be sent back to any middle east country, send back to Belarus.
  17. Well, dems are in a path of losing midterms badly, and they have no-one else than themselves to blame for it. Printed money, excessive debt, leading to inflation. Crazy energy politics, which is disconnected from the reality, and drives energy prices higher. Mishandling of migrant crisis at southern border (Kamala's first misstep as well!) Self flaggelanting on historical aspects to a point of condeming founding fathers. Suburb mothers realizing that supporting dems will lose their children equal opportunity treatment (segregation of score thersholds by race, dems telling parents they should have no agency on what their kids are being learnt in regards to identity politics, allowing trans biological males to push out biological females from sports) Hypocrisy on virus policies and actions (politicians unmasked on various social events while forcing working class out of jobs) And hypocrisy on climate policies, by letting billionairs produce more carbon footprint with a single entertainment spaceflight, than majority of people would produce in their lifetime, etc. Making it look like they and their rich friends are a privilaged class (top 1% produce more carbon footprint than bottom 50%, but you don't see them cutting on international travels, large mansions, large energy consumption, private jets and yachts, etc. )
  18. Surprisingly NJ is too close to call as well... Talk about spanking dems received so far
  19. Seems @Guard Dogwill be a happy man in 2022 https://results.decisiondeskhq.com/ Seems like dems will suffer a lot for the ultra leftist views like CRT and other crap like that, plus perception on Biden seems to be worse and worse. If the inflation will stay high, dems will be in a run for losing two chambers and be left only with president.
  20. Interesting quote regarding COP26 from Glasgow. "" "" "" "" "" "" "'' '" One of the most ironic tendencies of the summit is that President Joe Biden and other leaders have come to the conference pushing for more emissions cuts, and more commitments to green energy while also pushing oil producers at OPEC+ ramp up supply to help spare the US and Europe from a brutal winter. Given these contrarian commitments, the summit should allow Russia, China and others to throw the West's virtue-signaling when it comes to climate change - right back in its face. What's even more ironic is that the two-week summit is happening under the shadow of the UK's own energy crisis. Which means that those who are in a position to try and cut greenhouse gasses are simply in too difficult a situation to try and fix it now. (hence Putin's decision to skip it) "" "" "" "" '' '' '' '"" " I wonder what are views of some of the people here. We all can agree, that in the long term, climate will change (the magnitude, timing and exact weight of factors are unknown) I wonder though, what would people be ready to drop from the day to day convieniences, like air travel, air conditioning, car travel, high energy consuming machines, like personal computers, using smartphones, buying processed and packaged food (so no frozen vegies, meat, etc.).
  21. Not sure, seems Tesla is defying any logic and any fundamentals for it. It just keeps soaring. Near 1 175 now, when it was at 500s a couple months back. But what do I know, you could have became a billionaire this year by investing in a shiba inu **** coin this year, no more than a couple ks... As if someone wants to really break the market so bad, that it will turn into a purely speculative casino game. Issue is that in the end, casino always wins...
  22. In the COP26 itself, it seems it will be a grand stand of words, with no real actions, aside of more taxes, to back it up. Unless we will get a clean fusion energy, the move to 'clean' energy on a global scale is unachievable. You'd need to stop migration movements (as movement from low energy consumption to high energy consumption of the individual will increase the overall energy consumption demand with each new head moving) , stop incentivisng growth and debt driven economy and move to a more stable, which could cope with decline in total values. The increasing demand for energy grately outpaces ability to produce clean energy. We live in a world which is much more energy consumption driven. Compare the current state to a state a hundred years ago and calculate how many MWs a single person is using directly and indirectly daily today vs a one 100 yrs ago. Meanwhile, hypocrits galore https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/jeff-bezos-leads-parade-private-jets-cop26-his-65m-gulfstream
  23. Antagonistic language aside, they have a point in here on hypocrisy https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bidens-85-vehicle-motorcade-ahead-climate-talks-his-optical-disaster Also, suprisingly silent large media channels, which tend to virtue signal at each point they can
  24. The thing is, mixing up an illiquid asset with a liquid asset does not help this case. For entertainment purposes, lets say you have a house, which overnight changed value by +50% yet your ability to generate cash hasn't changed at all. You are now forced to sell something else than your house to cover for that (in no case you are allowed to sell the increased value asset, because regulators say to you, you can sell it only one furniture at a time and no more than 1 per month and you need to fill out a lot of paper work to do so). Next day it moved again an additional 20% from the already increased value, and yet you are in the same position in your ability to generate sufficient cash on the spot to pay for that increase. Tough luck, pay up. Get in debt if you have to! You are now rich, right? So you took on debt to pay the taxes, and now it comes a 3rd day, and it seems the power that be, decided your house is actually worth less than your base value it had 2 days earlier, but still has a chance to have greater value in the future. Tough luck, bank who took the house value as the collateral for your loan, which you had to take to pay taxes, now demands you cover for the difference between the current worth and the value from a day ago, when you took the loan. You still can't sell your house! It also seems that the person who took your tax money doesn't care that the house is not worth as much as it was day ago. It was then, so get lost and stop whining for the money that was taken from you. You end up with an asset which is worth less than on the day 1, with sizeable debt in the bank and lost money that were taken away from you in the last 2 days. Do you feel richer already? And its only a day 4 starting!
