  1. Thank you theBalthazar! I feel the same in many ways as well about the White March
  2. Sorry I couldn't be more help, I feel your pain with annoying audio!
  3. Hi Justin. Thanks for looking into it. Doesn't sound like there is likely to be a patch or workaround, nor that it's easy to find the file and delete it. If you hear anything, though, please let me know. Would love to get that guy out of the game Spent quite some time yesterday trying to find it, without any luck. Since you say it's not in that folder, my next bet would be in assetbundles/vo, unless that too is simply considered VO instead of sounds. There are some files with names such as barks and ambient. But these are unity files, with surely loads of content, so can't be deleted. Will have to continue to liberally use the mute button I guess, and try to prevent going into inns. It's definitely in an asset bundle, which one is anyone's guess though. Unity's way of choosing where to store it's data is sort of a mystery. If you were lucky enough to track down which bundle the data is in, and you could somehow edit that data, these are the assets you'd be looking for: ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_004.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_005.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_006.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_007.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_008.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_009.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_010.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_011.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_01.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_02.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_03.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_04.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_05.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_06.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_laughter_07.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_001.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_002.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_inn_laughter_003.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_01.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_02.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_03.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_04.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_05.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_06.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_07.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_08.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_09.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_10.wav ..*\Assets\Data\Audio\amb\amb\amb_inn_common_floor\amb_os_drunk_people_11.wav
  4. Hi Orikus! The fact that you've taken the time to post your appreciation for Pillars on our forum is a huge sign of support to us. We really appreciate that. I've inquired about making the White March soundtrack available before, I can ask again. I can't make any promises but I'll try!
  5. Hi PangaeaACDC, Apologies for the annoying sound, I definitely know how irritating it can be to hear the same sound over and over. Unfortunately I don't know how easy it would be to remove that sound. It's not in the VO folder, it's considered a sound effect. The best I can do at this point is let our QA know here and find out if there's going to be a patch we could get a potential fix in. I can't make any promises unfortunately, but I'll try. Justin
  6. Hey guys, Good news, I got approval to share the original mockup for Pillars' title theme! Please find it attached pillars_of_eternity_title_theme_mockup.mp3
  7. My pleasure, I'm very happy to hear you like the music for PoE. Regarding the WM song, Josh Sawyer wrote the lyrics. Ayana is a typo though, we were talking about working with her we had to pursue other options. Thanks for bringing that up, I'll have it removed from the credits. I have a last question : does the WM song have a proper title ? PS : I've just finished the game (118 hours ! ), can't wait for a POE 2 ! Sure - it's called "The Sea and Her Love"
  8. Hey poetic obsidian, Sorry it took so long for me to respond. Hmmmmm, let me see if I can dig it up. I might need to talk to some folks about how to post it. Stand by!
  9. @developershins, thank you so much for your compliments and encouragement. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed PoE's soundtrack. As for your first question, you're correct it isn't in the game files. You can, however, listen to it here . Regarding unofficial names for the tracks you mentioned, I only have a few names: px1_mus_combat_h - Ogre's and Eyeless px1_mus_combat_i_durgan_01 and 02 - These are actually the same piece of music, just started at different points. I call this "The Watcher Prevails" px2_mus_amb_abbey_ext - Abydon's Shell px2_mus_amb_abbey_int - Abbey of the Fallen Moon @Ben No.3 Thank you very much for this incredible compliment! It's very gratifying to read comments such as yours and others like it.
  10. She does have a great voice doesn't she? I can't disclose who the singer is because she asked to be anonymous, but she's a local singer who's heavily involved in the LA Opera and LA Master Choral!

  13. Hi vulchor and Fenixp, we're looking into various ways we can distribute the White March soundtrack now. Thanks for your patience and for your support!
  14. Hi there. Thanks for the very kind words, very happy to hear you enjoy the soundtrack. Strange that the soundtrack you downloaded doesn't have the updated names, but it could be that we never found a good way to update the soundtrack that wasn't on the backer portal. This isn't the greatest solution, but here are some tags you can apply manually - http://media.obsidian.net/eternity/media/audio/pe-soundtrack-map-and-tags.zip Sorry to ask you to do it that way. I'll check with production to see if there's something we can do. I'll try but can't guarantee it.
  15. Wow, thank you ruzen for the very kind words! At the end of the day it comes down to demand for us, which is why we just ended up releasing it for free on Sound Cloud.
  16. Hi reaveramori. What an interesting coincidence! I never played Magic the Gathering, but.... chalk it up to a case of "great minds think alike"?
  17. Kind of a double post, but relates to this thread. We released the White March soundtrack and unreleased base game music on Sound Cloud today. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/obsidian-entertainment/sets
  18. Been a while, but I have some news for you folks. We released the White March soundtrack and some other goodies on Sound Cloud today. Check it out! https://soundcloud.com/obsidian-entertainment/sets
  19. Hmmm... I don't believe I've ever heard the music for MWT. I think that's a complete coincidence, though I'd be curious to hear which one you mean!
  20. Ondra (i.e. the sea) tore off a piece of the moon (i.e. the Abydon) out of jealousy which caused the moon to crash into the sea.
  21. Gref's Rest soundtrack is gr8. Are these lyrics available somewhere to read? I can post them here: The sea beheld her love Shinning bright from on high She bade him come down From his palace in the sky Her love could not be swayed So she took a piece into her heart And all who saw her grief that day Sleep in her bosom still At least I think that's it.
  22. Thank you! I'm glad you like the music for Gref's Rest. I had always wanted to write folk songs for the world of Eora for the base game, but I never got around to it. When we started the expansion I talked to Josh about it and asked him if he'd be willing to write the words. The result was a collaboration between he and I, where I wrote the music and he wrote the lyrics. The idea was that bards were the newscasters of their time, and that they would express the state of the world through song. The lyrics of the inn song are about Ondra and Abydon. Since you just started playing the expansion I won't spoil it, but the meaning of the lyrics are significant. The singer we hired was incredible, though she wished to remain anonymous for various reasons.
  23. That was the first piece of music I wrote for Eternity.
