  1. "But we are still a very generous people (compared) to almost the rest of the world." In other words, We are still superior and it's all that matters
  2. I don't think that it will solve problem with you save games, but it will bring that "Story Mode" difficult level that makes it possible to reach point where you can start expansion content quite fast, which of course is not most optimal solution to you problem.
  3. And if an unlucky player has GOG version??? You either wait to next month and official release of 3.0 or spent bit more with game as you play to expansion point in easy mode.
  4. Grand Jury Investigating Planned Parenthood Indicts Makers Of Videos Instead "Instead Of Indicting Planned Parenthood, Texas Grand Jury Indicts Creators Of Highly Edited Videos A Texas grand jury that was investigating Planned Parenthood just opted to not indict the women's reproductive health care provider. Instead, it has handed down indictments for two of the makers of the controversial videos. David Daleiden (photo), the founder of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), an anti-choice group that worked with Republican members of Congress for over a year to create the videos and create a marketing plan to release them, and another activist, have been indicted. "Center for Medical Progress founder David Daleiden was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count of related to purchasing human organs. Another activist was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record," the Associated Press just reported. The second person indicted is Sandra Merritt, also of the CMP. Merritt is also "the founder and CEO of BioMax, the sham tissue procurement company created by the Center to gain entry into abortion clinics and medical conferences," the Dallas Morning News adds. Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson "said the grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood of any wrongdoing." The videos are highly and selectively edited, and have been used as "evidence" by anti-abortion activists and anti-choice conservatives to fraudulently claim "Planned Parenthood sells aborted baby parts." Every state that has investigated Planned Parenthood in response to the videos has found no evidence of wrongdoing by Planned Parenthood." But at least Texas' governor is willing to spent even more tax payers money to ensure that case, which is multiple time decided to have no merit by different investigative, legal and governmental bodies will continued to be investigated even after this latest unfortunately set back with Grand Jury or something like that what financially conservative politicians always do in these cases https://twitter.com/GregAbbott_TX/status/691755304606900224?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
  5. I would say that it would help you understand several concepts that game uses, even though it isn't one-to-one copy of table top rules, but it is close enough.
  6. torment is set a billion (or some such silliness) years in future. "caucasian" is therefore meaningless. Basically this. On Numenera, a billion years' worth of evolution, purposeful genetic tampering and changes even weirder in origin mean that the residents simply don't map to current racial phenotypes. On the other hand, you can totally be a blue space babe (well, you can't, since this is a CRPG with a semi-fixed protagonist, but in the tabletop version, you can). I think it's pretty clever. Okay lets be serious now ....I didn't realize you have played the tabletop game. What is it like.,.,..how many monsters are there? There are rules 45 different creatures in core rule book, but there are dozes accessory books that bring lots more. And T:ToN set in bit different section than tabletop game and it brings more new creatures with it.
  7. You can't, white males are extinct (this is also true to every other skin-color/ethnicity - gender combination that exist today). Although some could argue that main protagonist look quite bit like white male/female
  8. Elerond how would Trump be viewed if he was PM in Finland ? Dead man walking
  9. Bruce are you sure that you weren't drinking when you recommended this thread or this forum as a place where one can find positive news about refugee situation?
  10. This is old but I just need to say what a beautiful plan Trump has there.
  11. If you mean that boy, he was looking escaping somebody and looking his friend But I believe that most stuff related to him has been cut from beta or not yet implemented. Of course it is always possible that they will not do anything more with him, but those lines that you learn with mind read would imply that there is at least bit more planned for him.
  12. Now personally I didn't se this really reinforced in the beta due to all of the handholding, signposting and the fact that almost everyone treated you as special and opened up automatically, without wanting something in return or having a motivation. Now compare this to Torment where everyone was either treating you differently because of personal reasons or because it was in tehir interest to do so, and if not just ignoring or asking you to go away. This helped reinforce that though Nameless is only special because this is a personal story, and because of all the weirdness of the planes, not many are interested or impressed by this. In fact they are usually just wary, sensing doom and larger forces at play like Annah. Everybody in beta (or at least most) that offer you any sort help actually want something from you. And this becomes especially clear if you play with nano that has mind reading ability, And there seems to be clear motivations for all characters that are much easier to find out if you have said mind reading ability.
  13. T:ToN does these same things too. There is mystery who you are and why you exist and where did you come, how you are related to Changing God or what ever entity's husk people say you are, and what is Sorrow and why it hunts CG and you. There are quite lot of people that say they know the answer but they all give different answer and quite lot of them seem to be more interested on how you can help them or get you go away. As far as I can tell they follow no coincidences rule in their writing also in T:ToN, also story and wolrd largely center around you (Last Castoff) and you (Last Castoff) don't know it. For realization part, there is no such thing in beta, but probably finished game will have such. Last Castoff is special snowflake but not demigod (or quite poor one as I would argue that TNO is more powerful in his universe than Last Castoff is their). Last Castoff can be killed by groups of random thugs, ghost, bad drink etc..
  14. I agree with Gromnir that T:ToN is very similar with PS:T, I would say that it quite clear that developers didn't exaggerate when they said that they played PS:T again dozens times to get feel of it. And similarly to PS:T everything revolve around Last Castoff and their decisions. Although you can see some difference come in from theme, as in PS:T people constantly tell how TNO has impacted them in past and face possible need of change of your nature, in T:ToN you are bombarded options how you can impact people's futures and therefore their impact on your legacy. So if T:ToN feels off compared to PS:T it may be because of difference in the main question, as it set different tone in interactions between main character and NPCs.
  15. https://forums.obsidian.net/blog/7/entry-175-location-of-save-games/ If you bought Pillars of Eternity from the Apple App Store, your save game directory is located here: ~/Library/Containers/com.mpdigital.pillarsofeternity/Data/Library/Application Support/Pillars of Eternity/Saved Games
  16. Nope . . . nothing in Application Support w/r to Pillars. Thanks, though . . . got the game from the App store, so maybe that's the problem. Anyhow, may just have to give it up. OS X For Steam, GOG, and DRM-free backer disc versions: ~/Library/Application Support/Pillars of Eternity/Saved Games If you bought Pillars of Eternity from the Apple App Store, your save game directory is located here: ~/Library/Containers/com.mpdigital.pillarsofeternity/Data/Library/Application Support/Pillars of Eternity/Saved Game https://forums.obsidian.net/blog/7/entry-175-location-of-save-games/

  18. I think you don't understand scandis if you think they are actually self loathing. Who are Scandis? All the Scandinavian people ? or the mountain range (although they are usually called Scandes), who cares they are all in same peninsula of bättre folk EDIT: Had to fix my insult towards Swedish people.
  19. I think you don't understand scandis if you think they are actually self loathing.
  20. Yes many people in the EU are overreacting but they are also scared and frustrated ...so I understand these types of vigilante groups being in operation Yeah who ever could understand this type of vigilante groups https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n85LwLsvSfc I can't read WP article as it just says "This file was inadvertently published.", so I am not sure which groups they talk.
  21. Saudi fatwa banning chess stirs online outcry "A fatwa issued by Saudi Arabia’s top cleric prohibiting chess in Islam and equating it with gambling has caused a stir on social media. In a video of a television programme posted online, Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz al Sheikh appears categorical when asked about the board game in Islam. “Chess is prohibited. It is gambling,” said Sheikh, insisting that it was a “waste of time and money and a cause for animosity between players”." "Lebanese television producer Nasser Fakih tweeted: “Saudi mufti has declared chess haram. Apparently this game makes you use your brain, and this is haram!”"
  22. Bill Gates: US 'should take more' refugees http://www.bbc.com/news/35381521 "Speaking to the BBC at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mr Gates said his home country "had the capacity" to follow the examples of Germany and Sweden, who were "to be congratulated" But he acknowledged that relaxing immigration laws "was not easy", and that governments were dealing with "tight budgets". However, he emphasised that the issue was largely a political one, and that "the total number of refugees is not a world record"." Not directly part of election debate, but it comes from one that has quite lot economical influence (which often correlates one's ability to influence politics) in US.
  23. The latter one at least is real and used in Munich. http://www.mz-web.de/politik/-schwimmbad-baderegeln-muenchen-comics-sote-fluechtlinge,20642162,33513044.html
  24. it was just copy pastes of google's first definitions for those words that you can move back on US politics instead of arguing how people want to define certain words.
  25. Bruce my purpose was just to point out that their actions weren't attack against Islam or any other faith, but way try to prevent cultural elements from neighboring countries. And that extreme way to enforce it and using nationalism against extremism probably come from Soviet Union times. It is totalitarian ideology of total control and unity of citizens which is meant to keep citizens in line and learning to averse anything that don't come from government, But it is ideology that don't just come from the dictator, but it is also ideology that big part of citizens of country believe at least in some form as they at least tolerate such control heavy governance. To question do it work against extremism, I don't know, but history tells us that it don't prevent all extremism, but also western culture of individual freedom don't prevent all extremism.
