  1. Trollin' heterophobic gay dudes make me laugh ^^ The only question is: How long will it take until this thread is deleted? :3
  2. Justin Bell who is a sound designer at Obsidian http://www.benaturalmusic.com/ Wow! Fantastic, Justin is very talented! This type of music is absolutely perfect for Eternity. I'm not so sure about Mark Morgan as some have recommended here... his music seems to be more atoned to post apocolyptic / steam punk / cyber punk settings.
  3. 5 or 6 is good enough in my opinion.
  4. By the Powers, I think ye be right! Lets show these scallywags and scurvy dogs how a real game be made me hearty! Swashbucklin' and grog drinkin' be the trade o' a mighty pirate! Ye Lily-livered landlubbers will be shakin' in ye boots. Ya harrr! Yahhhaaarrr me mateys! -Captain Bald Butt
  5. ...and a LOT less details. 2d graphics are still the prettiest to this day. BG2 looks a million times better than Warcraft 3 or even Dragon Age. You do know that the backgrounds and characters in BG2 are pre-rendered (3D), right? The only reason they were "flattened" to 2D was because of performance - we did not have powerful 3D accelerators like we have today. And the amount of detail has nothing to do with the game being in 2D. They just put alot of effort into the game - but it could have been done in 3D too. But like I said, that was not an option back then. they cant bring this level of detail with nowadays hardway either. Just look at the scenes from Torment and IWD2 in the trailer video and tell me which modern game even comes close to this. 3d graphics only look good when stylized and colorful, attempt anything realistic and the result will be inferior to the 2d approach. Off the top of my head I would say you should look at Diablo 3, Dungeon Siege 3, Trine 2 or even the video of Wasteland 2 pre-alpha. They all look very good and are all in 3D, even though more than that is possible with today's technology. And to top it off, you can have better superior animations, lighting, etc. with a game in 3D.
  6. The world has an uncanny resemblance to Western Europe.... just without the British Isles. ^^

  8. I actually love the setting with Dwarfs/Elves/Humans just like in Nordic/Germanic lore. That does not mean the game should or cannot have any other types of races, but it definitely should have these three. ^^ And if there are more races, they should at least be original and interesting. The "Catman" and "Lizzardman" races in the Elder Scrolls series, for example, are just so lame and unorignal. This is pretty much standard stuff... you will certainly see some of this in the game.
  9. There have been my great recommendations for the stretch goals, but what you really need to do is support your European fans that do not speak English very well by adding support for more languages.
  10. The game should always be challenging - from start to finish.
