I wonder how they are going to fix the floating capes issue. -

This isn't really feedback related but here's one of those anonymous portraits that Bobby Null was talking about -
Combat Animation
Sensuki replied to Baladas's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It's not about combat looking varied, it's about being able to easily recognize when units are and are not idle in combat, which currently you cannot as there is no difference between recovering and idle. -
[435] Temple of Skaen FPS tests
Sensuki replied to Sensuki's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Forgot to mention that the disable AIController part in the second video still turned off the NPCs, and the command was recently replaced with a newer one that didn't remove the NPCs and disabled their AIController, which had no impact (and is not shown in the video). -

Performance in this game is very CPU-bound. At the moment if you don't have an i5-3570k or better, your FPS will probably not be that great in some instances. I have an i7 870 and it struggles in the larger areas due to lack of optimization. Not sure how it will go on release, I'm trying to help troubleshoot the FPS drops, a large part of it is something to do with units.

The point was more to point out that the windows don't match the level above it and it's basically just open floor - step out to your doom.

Here are a couple of FPS tests Disabling the NPCs in the level gives a large FPS boost (with and without the fog of war, the extra FPS is about the same). It's not the AI code that is contributing the FPS drop as I used a separate command to disable the AIController of every NPC in the level and it did not increase FPS.

Question about Paladins
Sensuki replied to Verenti's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Elfya doesn't really do much damage, I would have aimed that shot at Sevis, the Barbarian or the Pistol guy. -
There is actually a font glitch, I'll edit and post the link http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/70220-392-item-description-text-scrolling-bug/

What have you (Obsidian) done with the assetbundles?
Sensuki replied to Sensuki's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Thanks for the reply Adam. Sorry about applying the heavy hand, we did not mean to imply that there was any agenda other than to optimize the game. The memory optimization has been really good. I haven't seen my game go over 1.9GB used so far in v435. -
High deflection is useful against mook enemies, but against enemies like Korgrak, Elder Bears, Elder Lions etc - it's not that great. Anything with a high accuracy and high-per hit damage, Deflection doesn't really do much for you - you're still gonna get hit and hit hard, but not really be able to hit back.

In hindsight this is a terrible post on the internet and it makes me look like a ****, and I have a feeling that it may have caused some offense - sorry Sean! I was actually thinking of the STRONGHOLD walls, not Raedric's Hold walls - that look like you can't actually walk on them. There is actually a door going to one of the sections of the walls in the screenshot in the OP. There are actually only two places I think could have been done better. One of them is the windows that don't match the ones above it, and the section above the gate - other than that it is a wonderful environment. This is the bit I was referring to Herp derp me
