  1. I watch just the WaB series. There is some uh... "casualness" here and there, but nothing off-putting, I'd say Also, AW seems to have gotten a bit of praise from MMO Grinder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXfv4cWXHkA
  2. So just so you know, Armored Warfare was mentioned by Mack from Worth a Buy as one of the best games in 2015. Mack doesn't let it off the hook easily though - there is some critique there. https://youtu.be/A0zJ-JjBVvg?t=19m17s
  3. I found myself in agreement until I arrived at the obligatory Mass Effect part. ME2 over ME1? Nooooo....
  4. Since he probably won't want to release anything new about games, I'd ask him about his cats or biking. Or why has he stopped posting videos on Youtube!
  5. All these threads make me wonder what someone at Obsidian who knows if they'll make another Fallout game or not feels about threads like this...
  6. JEYNE KASSYNDER Yes, I would like some more pretty H&S with reasonable story in it.
  7. Err...all of them? I've even greatly enjoyed DS3 and I did not expect that. My favourite aRPG.
  8. .....yeah. (volume) https://youtu.be/HgZIvjFlHMM?t=3m8s https://youtu.be/74GRowG4SSc?t=20m3s
  9. Or you could keep the lore as intact as possible and avoid stomping all over it just to avoid having to be at least a little creative.
  10. So now that Bethesda has completely derailed the IP to absurdity, I expect Obsidian to make an actual Fallout sequel. Again. Or I hope. Please Q_Q Bethesda's spin-offs physically hurt me!
  11. Guys "broke" the game. As usual it's quite entertaining. It doesn't even show any hardcore bugs so it looks like the game went a long way since its launch, heh. I'm still waiting for AP2, by the way.

  12. (emphasis mine) Actually, the Grammar Monster link you posted, specifically says: Which is the rule I'm accustomed to. Well, most guides I've read suggest to use it to assist the readers. Thankfully abbreviations with dots are rarely pluralised, so I can avoid it. Personally I'd rather avoid using an apostrophe to denote plural in those cases since, like Grammar Monster, I think that they should be used only in specific cases that might create confusion without help of an apostrophe, but I follow (the majority of) guides. Actually I don't, and I should. Not because of grammar, but typos and misplaced words are more common than I'd like when I'm reading back on the texts I've blessed the world with :D Appreciated, you've made the world a better place!
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if it stemmed from exactly that since both 90s and 90's can be correct depending on the context. Yeah, most guides mention that: Punctuation marks Apostrophe - rule 6 Grammar Girl's take Apostrophes and plural forms Grammar Monster - note: advanced guidelines including more exceptions Punctuation guide Probably much more, but these are the ones I know of.
  14. That's not how you make plural of "VM". An apostrophe denotes plural only of a single character (V's) or if you separated the letters in an initialism with dots (V.M.'s). Thanks for listening ^^
  15. Nice. I don't think "open world" is particularly abused. However, "sandbox" is an entirely different story.
  16. Pre-orders are plague and the more people do it, the more resources will developers spend to encourage/push pre-orders. Obviously, the more content they make explusively for those who have patience of a 5-year old, the less complete experience is there for the mature customer base. I like how you say it as if that was a good thing.
  17. Unreleased games, such as Pillars of the Elder Scrolls.
  18. To quote an article:
  19. What's your budget? Without that I'd recommend Surface 3 Pro.
  20. A handy guide to remove all the (known) scumbagery from Win10.
  21. Did you hear the news? Nothing is sacred at BGS and they say it as a good thing. Heh, AwesomePossum is on my "superfanboys" list. It's best to ignore those as they rarely present any real arguments and will likely defend whatever BGS comes up with no matter what. So far I got one warning for pointing out that some "devotee" was lying. And a mod has just sent me PM warning me that I might get a warning point for "similar behaviour".
  22. Todd Howard thinks "mature dark setting" means "full of gore.
  23. I hate-hate-hated the timers in both Fallout and Fallout 2. And you could stop both timers - provided you rushed to get to the point where you could stop the timer, at which point you could lazily do the open world exploration. But a railroad is a railroad, if you didn't do what the game designers wanted you to do in the time they wanted you to do it - end of game. Been awhile since I played Fallout 3 but IIRC your choices affect Megaton, Little Lamplight and the other town connected to it and the high rise with the ghoul problem. The main story is a narrative railroad (one that they never quite justify following, IMO). New Vegas gives more main story narrative choices (even if only an idiot would ever join Ceasar). No I mean... I haven't noticed any hard timer in Fallout 2. You get increasingly more pressing dreams, but that's it. No real effect. No railroad whatsoever. And even with the timer you can do many things many ways, unlike in Fallout 3, where you can do all the things one way. Don't remind me of Little Lamplight, that's what I use as an example of that writer's incompetence
  24. Weak. The timer in Fallout 2 was virtually nonexistent, and the one in Fallout 1 could be extended and even stopped altogether IIRC. Regardless, timers have nothing to do with railroading a story. There was no narrative choice in Fallout 3 in the main story line. And other than that, the only notable choice was blowing up a city built around a nuke for some inexplicable reason for fun. Really hard choice, huh. The game was fun, but the writing was so cringe-worthy that I couldn't bear myself to finishing it for the second time. :D
