I didn't have Leukemia, but the treatment is basically the same. I had aplastic anemia, which basically meant that my marrow stopped working for pretty much no good reason at all. They wipe out your old marrow with a combination of a prewar poison and horse serum, which coincidentally destroys your immune system and makes all your hair fall out. They collect the donor's stem cells with a pheresis machine (they don't actually have to go straight to the source anymore), and give it to you through your IV while you're pretty much dead and living on transfusions of red blood cells, platlets, antibiotics, saline, and electrolites, which is why you need two giant catheters. I got about three separate infections during this process, which made the whole thing far worse than it needed to be. Then I experienced three major flare ups of GVHD, which is apparently not unusual, and thus the need for steroids, which also caused a dozen more infections. It's not a happy process but it seems to be the best we've got. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yea, um, ****. I think you "won".
  2. Me: Vol: More picks people. It's for all the bragging rights (unless your team wins, sorry Denver fans)

Yea, again, real sorry about that one. You get a few drinks in me and I'm all over the road. :">

I'm 23, mine grew in no problem, so it's not all glom and doom
  5. Ouch, is that how it is?
  6. It's more the constant distractions. His "over dose" incident, the spiting, the tour-de-france cycling when he was "hurt", etc. And he sure had some kind words for Bledsoe, especially when he got yanked. Let's not forget his own teammates are currently telling him to shut up in the press. However, all things considered, he's been "better" Garcia is what, a 3 time pro bowl quarterback? There not replacing McNabb with Joe Blow or something.
  7. You think I'm cute? I'm not saying he isn't good, there are receivers I rather have tho. Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith all enter that conversation. And none of those guys are cancers to their team. Regardless, the NFL is generally weak at WR imo right now. So being the best of this bunch isn't saying much. As for the drops, o man, he's let go of plenty of balls that have hit him right in the hands.
  8. Way to DROP him a compliment. Seriously, thanks for DROPPING in and saying that. DROP us a line about TO anytime!
  9. Still laughing
  10. Opps! Ok, too soon to start making picks? (Subject to change if any player on teams that I pick gets shot or gets a DUI) Kansas City over Indy (Upset!) Seattle over Dallas NY Jets over New England (Ballsy upset pick) Philly over NY Giants --------------------------------------- Chicago over Seattle New Orleans over Philly San Diego over Kansas City NY Jets over Baltimore (OMG! This kids nuts!) ................................................. San Diego over NY Jets New Orleans over Chicago (Nooooooooooo) ............................................ Super Bowl: New Orleans beats San Diego, fade to black
  11. Welcome to the playoffs Now lets see what happens with Denver (tho, might not matter with the Titans and Bengals trailing)
  12. Well, the Supra is a classic
  13. But really, what kind of trouble could gerbils get into driving a "couch"? " Like the Camaro and Firebird? O wait! Seriously, the 'Vette and the 'Stang are what is currently out there and you have to pay HUGE premiums to get the Shelby mustang. The Viper seems to be slipping into oblivion. The Vette is a beast however. I think I'm getting a Porsche Cayman in the spring, zoom zoom
  14. Many can cut emissions effectively in half (via getting double miles per gallon). I'd say that is significant.
  15. Priceless
  16. Wouldn't that be a fitting end to humanity? Someone's spambot becomes self-aware and wipes us out.
  17. It's a 2+2, and in Supra tradition, that means the back seats are more for storage than people. This is actually some sort of a drawing, not part of the above computer generated group:
  18. No ones seen Rocky? Fine, I'll do it.
  19. The implication being that it once possessed utility?
  20. Just follow it up with: "You know I love you baby, but you just make me so angry sometimes..." They eat that stuff up
  21. Yes and no. If you build a car with V8 power using a V6, I guess that's something right? Every little bit helps. In fact, being hybrid will actually likely improve the cars 0-60 time due to having all that power off the line. However, Toyota has been talking about a hybrid sports car for awhile now. This car may be Toyota's way of reshaping the consumers mind about what a hybrid is.
  22. Overrating Baley is overrated Did I just blow your mind?
