  1. The problem is not such much that he's easy to beat (because lets face it, all combat are easy in the game) It was the fact he was such a cool character concept, but was never flushed out. So instead of this super cool villain who could have added multiple of depth to the exile, you end up getting a tangled mess of unfinished plot threads. He didn't have a proper background, history, conflict, or personality. He's just this guy that eats force, got tricked, and end up being killed by the exile. As for the combat, on top of being starving, I'm sure attempting to suck force out of a dead force/force wound didn't help matter much.
  2. With proper training I believe it is possible for women to urinate standing up. And as we all know, Jedi is all about training this and training that.
  3. I was under the impression, by minority, he meant the original poster actually thought it was a great game and didn
  4. Aha! Many thanks, you've just solved potentially the last piece of my personal puzzle; namely, if Nihilis is actually a part of the exile (as I believe he is), why does Visas Marr say after looking at Nihilis that he is "just a man"? If I understand correctly, Visas is really telling something the exile more or less exactly what you just said. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, that would actually make a lot of sense. When the exile severed him/her self from the force. The cast off become Darth nihilis. Since Darth Nihilis is incomplete, he need to feed on the force to sustain himself. The theory I had is that he was in the same situation as the Exile. Except he was not strong enough to do what exile did: cut himself from the force. And the death/destruction consumed him and turned him into a force leech. Unfortunately, Darth Nihilis would have been very cool character if he
  5. That make even less sense. Kreia explicitly stated that exile was precious because he is a wound in the force, and the whole purpose she stayed with the exile is to learn how exile was able to resist the dark side temptation and more importantly, how he was able to sever the tie with the force. Before returning to Dantooine to meet the three jedi masters. I knew already that keria couldn't be trust and Atris is going to fall. The story was consistent and made a lot of sense before that. Then it just went downhill from there. Lots and lots stuff are never really explained. What's the point of the sith lord with the mask. He has no detailed history, just a few pieces of information slapped together. His relation with Keria was never explained. I guess he did server as the primary factor behind the destruction of what
  6. Okay, I just beat the game, and maybe it is because I have read through the dialog too fast or something, but I just want to confirm this is the actual storyline. First, there was that battle at M5, which exile used a weapon, the shadow device, which destroyed the planet, with all the mandorlians and republic soldiers on it. This event was so horrible that it turned all the jedi that followed Revan to dark side. Only exile didn
  7. I have this stupid load bug too. Except i have a Gforce, so I don't think it is video card related. When it occurs, not even shutting the game down and restart it again would help. I must restart my machine. I experimented by killing bunch of process (system and otherwise) when this occurred, and it solved problems on two occasions. And yes, I must restart my computer after this occurs, which freakn annoying.
  8. Its not my job to tell how, I am not making a game after all but I could point out that in Star Wars d20 there are more skills (item craft for example) and they even affect force power with I would use on a Star Wars RPG. The issue is that skills are really not that required for characters, some characters are simply combat monsters that have a few skills that are not even much used (like intimidate) but on the other hand we have characters that are skill monsters being able to build a starfighter out of credit chips. But that happens because d20 system is a party based system, characters are expected to have roles in the party. Now nobody is going to use security skill if they can bash doors opens and that is were skills became useless, if bashing doors is not possible then people would use security. In the end its not skills that must be made more useful on a mechanical standpoint but the levels that muct be designed in ways to make use of skills. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing is, despite it is a party, it is still a single player game. So the NPC are not really player characters, but in fact DM NPC, but that's not exactly the point. The point is, currently as it is, int and skills are not nearly important enough, compared to other aspect, such as force power, melee ability, damage, AB, saves, etc. Basically combat ability. Right now, you would agree that the PC, when specializes in combat, are far more effective then other NPCs. The same should be true for skils as well. If the PC focus on skills, then by the same token, he should be better than the NPCs However, NPC currently can do everything a super focused skilled character can do (except repair for item breakdown) which means there is very little incentive to actually focus on skill and make a skill focus character (because there is no point) except for item breakdown. Also, since this is cRPG, skills are not nearly as powerful and flexible as it is in PnP, and that's another cause for the problem. Now, I
  9. Then how do you propose to make skills more useful without drastically changing the game mechanics? It has to be simplistic enough so that there might actually be possible to put into the PC version.
  10. I agree with Gromnir, it makes skills as well as the int stat far more important. In KOTOR int was the useless. Out of all 6 stats, int is the only way that has the least amount of use for combat. (With the exception with sniper shot) . To make it worse, anything that's controlled by int can be done by the NPC several times better. Now, in KOTOR 2, I can definitely see dev trying to make each stat just as important as the other one. Therefore, if you are making a super melee jedi or a super force wielding jedi, and put all stat into either str/dex/con or wis/char, you should be penalized for dumping int. And in Reverse, if the character gets 16 int and put every level up point into int, they should be rewarded. IMO the item creation system is perfect for this. While one may be better at combat, they wouldn't be able to get the best of the best item in the game. And those items is basically a perk for characters that forgone combat powers. Now, I
  11. Shoneb Culu <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing is, there has only been two major complains about the game. 1. Glitches (cause of the majority of the complaints), which according to the devs, will be fixed for the PC version, so no problem there. 2. The not so great ending. Now that i know the ending is not so great, i will be prepared for it, and it wouldn't be a let down. So yea, I think PC version will kick absolute ass.
  12. Indeed it does...the lightsaber forms turned out to be significantly less amazing then they could've been <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can someone post how each form can be gained and by which class? thanks.
  13. Cool, thanks everyone. It would be really cool if different character can craft different set of items, and make it so the best items can only be crafted by the PC, that way skill would have been even more useful. O well. Another question though, lets say your character has 14 int, that means 2 extra skill point per level. If you get an item/implant that has, say, 4 bonus to int, and you end up with 18 int, do you get 4 extra skill points per level, or it stays at 2? Thanks. I guess since int is never directly combat related (except for sniper shot, but lets face it, range combat is weak in KOTOR), it is kinda hard to gauge its full usefulness.
  14. Just wondering. (since I don't have a xbox). How important is int score this time around. All the other 5 stat are very useful. As they all directly affect one's combat abilities one way or another, but int score is left in the dust that not many people uses. I heard the skill point thing was finally fixed, and that new dialog options will be available for high int score. But really, how important is it really compared to, say, dex that improve armor by great deal, or wis that's the center of force power. I know that to craft items certain amount of skill ranks are needed, However, since you can get your party members to craft those items. It ends up not being all that useful. I know it is now at least a useful stat. (Unlike in KOTOR 1, cough, cough), but how important is it relative to the other 5.
  15. Are the midgets female too?
  16. Ariel vs Jasmine vs Belle vs Mulan vs Snow White vs Cinderella vs Sleeping Beauty vs Pocahontas vs Kida vs Tinker bell in an all out slug fest. (Preferably in a mud pit, but not mandatory.) Nala can join too, but only if a polymorph spell is casted on her.
