  1. There was one mission that I remember giving me fits. Can't remember the setup for it, but you don't start with a base. You have to go in and clear a section of the map first. In the middle section is a group of bunkers that act like banks which are your only source of income in the map. There is a group of air fields in the top left hand corner that constantly send bombing runs at you. In the top right is a big base that likes to constantly send M1A1's after you before you get anything really set up.
  2. It can be. I didn't have that much trouble with Direct Action, but High Treason kicked my butt on several occasions.
  3. 3-2 with 56 seconds to go. EDIT: Wow, the Sharks had about half a dozen chances there in the last minute with the extra attacker on the ice. Kipper stood on his head tonight on several shots.
  4. Sakic just scored to win the game in OT.
  5. It's kinda hard to fight when you can't see, not to mention Whitney still had his helmet on. There were a few bright spots for Ottawa, most notable being their goaltending. The scoreboard didn't really reflect his play. There was really only one of those goals that Gerber really should have stopped and that was the third one that was scored by Malkin. Ottawa has a lot of work to do. Iginla has a mohawk. 2-1 Flames in the first 7 minutes.
  6. They are in the same place they've always been, right below most articles.
  7. They need to work on the comments sections. You get two lines of the comment to start. Click on the comment once and it expands, but if the comment is long enough you still don't get the whole thing. You click the "MORE" button and you get taken to a new page with just that one comment in full. You finished that comment and want to read another one? You have to click back and then click twice on the next comment. What was wrong with the old method? One click, one comment.
  8. With the limited time I've had with the new site, it does seem to be a little better. I've still gotten a half dozen errors today, but that's in about 3 dozen visits so far today. It used to have about twice that number of errors.
  9. The vote is in! The site redesign = ugleh. I'm pretty ambivalent towards it, but I have to give them props for making the background a grey instead of white.
  10. Referee list for the playoffs has been announced. No Mick McGeough, who according to Wikipedia retired three days ago!
  11. Do you have some compulsion to constantly remind us of your tech superiority?
  12. No! I have exams next week. Must resist... temptation... Damn you!
  13. I do not know. I have gone through the book that gives new words that mean the same thing, but all it has are ones that would break the rules. There must be at least one phrase that will suit this code.
  14. We need to find more than one way to say "once more".
  15. I hate it when websites completely change their layout. The new TSN
  16. That thought had come to me. It would have been quite some time ere I caught on to the rules of this game once more. In fact, I only caught on the first time, when Steve gave up the last clue.
  17. I'm bouncing back and forth between Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX and Super Smash Bros Brawl.
  18. Seems like it's about time I threw in my own picks here, but before I do, here's Maggie The Monkey's picks for the first round. Eastern Conference: Montreal(1) vs. Boston (: Montreal Pittsburgh(2) vs Ottawa(7): Pittsburgh Washington(3) vs Philadelphia(6): Philadelphia New Jersey(4) vs New York(5): New Jersey Western Conference: Detroit(1) vs Nashville(8 ):Detroit San Jose(2) vs Calgary(7): San Jose Minnesota(3) vs Colorado(6): Minnesota Anaheim(4) vs Dallas(5): Anaheim And now for my picks. Eastern Conference: Montreal(1) vs. Boston (: Montreal in 5. This one won't even be close. Tim Thomas will steal game 4 to prevent the sweep and end the losing streak at 14 games. Pittsburgh(2) vs Ottawa(7): Pittsburgh in 6*. This depends on which Ottawa team shows up If the Ottawa we've seen most of the season shows up then Pens take it in 6. If the Ottawa that started the season shows up, they take it in 5. I unfortunately don't see that happening though. Washington(3) vs Philadelphia(6): Washington in 6. With all due respect to the rest of the team, Ovechkin puts Washington over the top in this series. New Jersey(4) vs New York(5): New York in 7. This is a tough one. Neither team has really been hot lately. Brodeur will steal a couple wins from the Rangers, but will ultimately be left hanging by his offence. Western Conference: Detroit(1) vs Nashville(8 ):Detroit in 5. I fail to see how anyone can argue against the Wings winning this series. They'll be too much for Nashville to handle. San Jose(2) vs Calgary(7): San Jose in 7. Another really tough series to predict. San Jose has been on fire since the trade deadline, but Calgary won the season series. San Jose gets the edge based on consistency. Minnesota(3) vs Colorado(6): Colorado in 6. The old timers reunion will manage to get this one done, but not without a few fights along the way. Anaheim(4) vs Dallas(5): Anaheim in 7. The third tough one, this time because of lack of exposure. If Dallas manages to get everyone over the Flu they should be able to do some damage, but I'll go with the safe bet of Anaheim here. EA Sports ran their simulation and it predicted a Habs/Sharks final with the Sharks taking the cup.
  19. It took me some time to find what I had lost, but now I know how to play this game once more.
  20. We have a gas fireplace that gets a fair bit of use and another wood burning fireplace that hasn't been used in decades. The wood burning fireplaces was all cleaned out when we moved in and it currently holds our living room stereo. Went to pick up my new pair of glasses today. I had to leave my other pair there because the lady working the desk couldn't find a replacement screw small enough to fit my old frames. The new pair though has just confirmed what has been suspected for many years. My eyes are crooked. My right eye is just slightly higher than my left.
  21. So, the matches are set. It's prediction time people! Who's out in the first round and who's going to keep going?
  22. Washington: Bruce Boudreau (I think that's how it's spelt) Boston: Claude Julien (Montreal's coach last coach) According to an informal TSN poll of NHL head coaches, Guy Carbonneau led for the Jack Adams. Link The Washington coach should get it though.
