EXCLUSIVE LOOK ON NEW EQUIPMENT OF OUR WOULD-BE AZN OVERLORDS
Deraldin replied to Xard's topic in Way Off-Topic
Damnit! Why do I always miss these things. In response to the movie: "WTF?" was the only thought that popped into my mind while watching that. -
I really should stop looking these things up. It's the song that really makes it work. I still cracked up laughing though.

Marc Savard injures back. Ouch! Hopefully it'll heal properly for him.

And you guys thought Croatia was tough. Argh! Stupid GDI! 4th mission and we are back on the same map that gave me problems in original Nod campaign. Same map as the one with the nuke truck convoy. GDI started attacking before I managed to get any units out. Finally managed to beat them back somewhat, but I ended up losing because I ran out of funds.

I'm playing the "Why won't my Red Alert 3 Beta Key work?" game.

There you go. Fixed.

More devs! Quick! Corner him before he gets away!

My computer could just barely handle that room. I had about 5FPS through that section.

Well at least it's over with for another 9 months, sorta. I'm told that I have one cavity on each of the top two wisdom teeth and the bottom right wisdom tooth is pushing against the molar in front of it. I have an appointment with the oral surgeon (conveniently located just down the stairs from the dentist!) at the beginning of May to discuss the wisdom teeth. Also have a giant metal filling that supposedly only has another year tops before it's done. Other than that it went surprisingly well. Not sure how that happened. They totally missed the spot that caused so much pain last time. No one asked me how often I've been brushing (I even had my lie all rehearsed!) and I managed to get out of that chair without having one of those sharp metal instruments jammed into my gums. All in all, it was probably my second best check-up in the past 5 years or so. Also, I take back the mid-twenty something comment. Only the one receptionist at this new place is mid-twenties. Everyone else looks 30 something.

No one like the dentist. The only redeeming factor to going to the dentist is that I have yet to see an ugly dental hygienist. 90% of those I've seen are 1) Female, 2) Mid twenties, 3) Blonde and 4) Hawt.

That sucks. I saw that Edmonton was doing it's part when it was 3-1 at the end of the first. Too bad Calgary couldn't handle it's end of the deal.

Thank you Islanders! Take that you stupid Penguins! Amazing! Montreal can score against Ottawa! Woo!

Crap. I just learned that I have an appointment with the dentist tomorrow morning at 8am. I hate the dentist. Not only do I have to put up with him and his disapproving "You haven't been brushing and flossing 80 times a day have you?" but he's also ruining my day off by making me get up early. He can go to hell and stop poking my gums with those sharp metal tools. "Does that hurt?" Of course it hurts you bastard!

That sounds almost exactly like my upcoming week! Just remove the drywall stuff and add wallpaper in it's place.

Wow, I think I just hit the hardest section in Fire Emblem yet. Mission 16 on hard. About half way through storming the castle, the enemy get decides that now is the time to send everything after you. The turn before this, the computer gets two sages as reinforcements. Not so bad normally, but one of them has a sleep wand and the other has a book of purge. Both items have a minimum 7 square maximum range so they can hit you well out of retaliation range. Other than that, the enemy has 2 Myrmidons with a 20% crit chance and are faster than just about anything you have. 3 Druids that doing almost as much damage to your non-casters as your casters are doing to theirs 3 extra druids that blast you from long range 1 Cleric with a ranged heal wand 2 Knights that really just get in they way of the big boys 3 Rangers that again are more of a nuisance than anything 1 mounted caster again not too bad, but is another target to waste a turn on I'm thinking I finally have a use for all those elixirs I've been storing. My magic users are just far to valuable to waste every turn healing my front line troops.

Montreal is back in the conference lead, but New Jersey and Pittsburgh are both only 1 point back and have (a) game(s) in hand. One game left to sweep the season series against Boston. :D

Because a DE with a holster weighs more than any highschool kids backpack? As long as he has two Desert Eagles. Have to keep that weight evenly spread you know.

Went out to pick up some paint this morning. My little brother is going to lose his huge room in the next couple months as we swap his room with the office. Nothing is going to be moved until we've redecorated/fixed both rooms up though.
-
Boston needs to stay where they are. That would put them in a first round match-up with my Habs.
-
I was cheering for Tampa damnit! Buffalo is in the way of Washington's playoff spot.

I usually say it fast enough that I kinda gloss over the "n" in Thornton. I had to go look up a few names before I realized that you're not crazy and that I was just picturing the names wrong.

What are the skills in this game?
Deraldin replied to Cycloneman's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
Weaponry will probably be set up in a "small arms" and "big guns" fashion. Hand to hand will definately have it's own skill. If there was mention of explosives, there will likely be some sort of general explosives skill. Stealth is a no-brainer. That gives you 5 skills to start. I'd say there will be some sort of computers skill that will allow you to hack in to systems and various other computer related things. I don't know what else you could combine lockpicking with to make some sort of general skill though. Maybe some sort of general "security" skill? It's an RPG, they will definately have some sort of diplomacy related skill. It'll be interesting to see how they set this one up. Will it be a catchall interaction skill, or will you have separate skills for things like lying, smooth talking and intimidation. The only one that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned in some form would be some sort of athletics skill that'll do things like reduce damage from big falls, allow you to swim faster, or hold you breath longer. -
I've gotta go with AP. Aliens are great and all, but the spies are calling...
