  1. A row of Spartan Hoplites with Cretian Archers behind them is so amazingly deadly it's not even funny. Well it is unless you are the ones that have to take them on. " My last campaign as the Greeks took me up into Thrace where I got some Thracian Mercenaries for the first time. Those guys are 1337!!!1 The one unit took out I think three units of Macedonian Pikemen by themselves with less than half casualties compared to total for the pikemen. After about 12 battles they were down to around 5 men but I kept them around anyway. By the time the finally were wiped out they had some 10,000+ kills for that one unit. I used the 5 man unit to chase down routing enemies and slaughter them all. I didn't like the Total Realism Mod. It eliminated a lot of the fun of the game for me. However I did like the SPQR mod. That one was fun.
  2. If there is a space open I would like to try. Seems like it could be fun.

That's because a lot of those fans are idiots. They sell out the building no matter how badly the teams play. Something I've never been able to understand.
  4. If you have expansion packs, you get the Celts. They're green, too. It's not the same 7 civs all the time. Have you actually played this game? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah! You can get up to 16 at a time IIRC. "

As long as they face each other. The one time recently that they didn't go against each other, Ottawa made it to the Conference finals and a game 7. That game should have gone to overtime. The fecking ref called play just as Ottawa was about to score on a wide open net. Anyway, Oerwinde, it is somewhat confusing as to why Lacrosse is the official sport. It's actually quite fun to play (YAY for me since I can't skate very well... :">), however it just didn't seem to have the appeal that hockey did when watching sports. "

They haven't won in the past 40 years and they aren't going to. Ottawa has come closer to getting the Cup than Toronto has recently! "
  7. What made you decide to become a chartered accountant? I enjoyed what I did in accounting class, that was basics and we were moving slow as hell through the course because of the dumb people who after 3 months still didn't realize the Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity. <_< GoD needs to get online. He's playing the old version of reality. MMO's are the way of the future.

I don't need another e-mail. I don't want another e-mail. The two I have right now work just fine. One for personal stuff and the other for work.
  9. I want to see Axelay on a handheld. That was an awesome side/vertical scrolling shooter.
  10. I never noticed the Starcraft AI learning. However I did notice that whenever they came out with a new patch on Battle.net that the computers would magically become smarter. "
  11. I'm not sure what game you're referring to but I think that was one of the things they said they were doing with GalCiv. Although I could be wrong...
  12. At least there is one person that's involved with the movie that is listening to the fans. <_<
  13. I thought something about that sentence was wrong. I couldn't figure out what the problem with it was but I picked it anyway. Stupid test marking it wrong.
  14. Agreed. Disregarding the ones about which is a good combination of foods, as those can be very subjective I got 10 out of 18. Hey Mus, it's really not that hard to do a second time. I managed to get 20/20 on my second time through. It's all about how good your memory is.
  15. Sounds like me. I get the job done and then get as far as possible from the job. It's over and done with. Next task please. I used to have a quote along similar lines with regards to military positions, but I cannot find it at the moment. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Alright! I'm essential! Go me! If only I could find something that would motivate me.
  16. Apparently a greedy demand, since I've yet to come across one. In fact every strategy game falls into the same trap, which is that of giving the AI cheat bonuses in order to make it competitive. For a history buff playing EU2, fighting a 80000-headed HRE city state army and beating it without much effort isn't all that exciting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you tried playing Galactic Civilizations? I can't say that I noticed any obvious cheating in the game although the game just lacks that vital something to keep my interest. Should be able to pick up the Deluxe Edition for $10-$20.
  17. I got that working on my uncle's computer with sound recently. Can't remember quite how I did it though... I think RA had a problem with the sound. You could listen to the music but it would skip horribly so I just turned it off. All the normal sound effects for the weapons and explosions worked perfectly. YAY! Someone else who has played Dark Reign! I need to find another copy of it somewhere. I never actually owned it, but borrowed it from my uncle. :"> Will probably end up getting a copy of eBay. Hopefully I can get the expansion to, never played it.
  18. It's kinda creepy actually...
  19. I usually play huge worlds with large landmass continents. I don't like playing on maps with lots of water because the computer never really uses the ocean for anything. They don't expand off it and they don't attack across it. The only time I had a computer attack an island was when I basically flipped them off everytime they tried to contact me and threatened to declare war if they even though of stepping foot on my island. I was kind of like alcatraz. No way in and no way out. I had fun defending myself from all the other computers at the same time though. Each of them decided to gang up on me at the same time. Granted each one only sent one transport each but as soo as I beat them back I immediatly invaded the large continent that was right beside me and managed to conquer most of it before the game ended.
  20. What was the original mammoth tank like. I can't even recall what it looked like. I'll have to play through C&C when I visit my uncle this summer. Don't think I've ever finished the original. " That and Firestorm are the only ones I haven't completed.
  21. Go AoW! Although it was amazingly easy to clear out entire maps with those Task Force Talon Rail Guns-er snipers. " Those things went through tanks almost as fast as they went through infantry. Personally I loved using blackhawks to airlift snipers to the roofs of buildings that other infantry can't get into because there is no ground floor entrance. Made good sniper positions and excellent scouting areas.
  22. My favourite RTS would have to be Dark Reign. The ending sucked but up until that point it was a pretty awesome game. The unit AI settings were quite nice, helped keep the units alive. Ambushes were so much fun. Take a bunch of mercenaries and phase them. After the tanks roll past you un-phase and attack before the know what's going on.
