Crap! Koivu could be out for 4+ weeks? Damnit! Link

What are you playing now?
Temple Prime seems awfully weak for being such a stronghold of Nod superiority.

I managed to pull off that mission... the biggest thing is that you grab all the purifiers quickly and beef up your base defense. I picked up about 4 purifiers (three or four times too) and was able to wipe them out on medium. I've gone to easy simply to allow myself to see the entire game. I'm also waiting for Vertigos to be available fer once. Finished the campaign on easy now. The ending isn't much more conclusive that Tiberium Wars.

Heh. One of my new friends from Uni is a fan of both the Leafs and the Flames. I was hoping to be able to laugh at him when my Habs eliminated the Leafs from the playoffs on Saturday, but nooooo, they had to get beaten by the Bruins. Creepy.

I dropped the difficulty of Kane's Wrath down to easy for that one mission and then forgot to bump it back up again. On that 4th mission on easy mode you don't have to deal with air units and other than the first group, the GDI doesn't send Titans after you. It's been easy to the point where it almost feels like I'm cheating. I'll probably finish the campaign on easy then start over on hard to make up for it. Somewhere along the way, the movies seemed to have fixed themselves. The audio and video stay in sync! It's so amazingly awesome! Also, Spectre artillery are awesome incarnate. That is all. Stealth Artillery FTW.

It seems like every game that Montreal plays puts them back in first place. I've lost track of ho many times they've pulled into 1st in the East these past few weeks. Come from behind 4-3 OT win tonight of the Sabres. Plekanec scored twice in the final 3 minutes to send the game to OT and Higgins scored the winner. Pleks is sitting on 29 goals now I believe.

Food Thread!
The prob here is that the smoke alarm is incorporated right into the wiring--no batteries. There was a law passed I don't know how many years ago that requires this so it's not like the good ol' days where you could just take the battery out. As a general rule, I don't fiddle with wires. I prefer my food to be cooked and not myself. I'm happy to report that the taste testing I've done of my rigatoni with sausage and peppers is very satisfactory. Looks like this will be a nice, yummy dish. Oh. That would make it a little tricky to disable while cooking wouldn't it? Anyway, we seem to be having left over pork tenderloin for dinner tonight. Not quite sure what we are supposed to be having with it.

Food Thread!
same problem here stupid smoke alarms... just let me burn to death in my sleep dammit! at least i'll have eaten some good food before i die I tend to remove the smoke detector from the room if I'm cooking something that I know will set it off. It can go back after the food is done.

What you did today
They are certainly far better reading that my text book is. I also have a copy of Plutarch Fall of the Roman Republic sitting on my desk here. I'll likely need to pick up a few of the Greek historians when I take Greek history come September. Neither Tacitus, Suetonius, nor Cassius Dio seemed very fond of Nero. If I'm not mistaken, I seem to recall reading your name in Tacitus Annals somewhere. I remember it kind of jumped out at me when I read it, but I didn't write it down in my notes.

What you did today
I've spent the night writing a short essay about whether or not Nero could be classified as a megalomaniac and how that/his grandiose plans for Rome, led to his downfall. Oddly enough, I've actually been enjoying myself. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of Tacitus Annals of Imperial Rome so I can't get any actual quotes from that (but I do have a couple pages of notes, just not exact quotes). I do have a copy of Suetonius The Twelve Caesars which has been a great source!

Damnit! You were supposed to be eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday against my Habs! It won't be nearly as much fun taunting Leafs fans at Uni if they are already out. O.o I'm pretty sure that Toronto needed the wins more.

Like I said earlier, and you people thought that Croatia was difficult. I have a feeling that you really, really need to get those purifier corpses up and running fast. Ignore static anti-air defences and go straight for a few mantis units. More expensive, but they can at least manage to kill some orcas before they completely unload on their target.

That's what everyone tells me. I start thinking it can't possibly be that bad until I come to my senses and remember that this is the internet we are talking about.

EXCLUSIVE LOOK ON NEW EQUIPMENT OF OUR WOULD-BE AZN OVERLORDS
Damnit! Why do I always miss these things. In response to the movie: "WTF?" was the only thought that popped into my mind while watching that.

What you did today
I really should stop looking these things up. It's the song that really makes it work. I still cracked up laughing though.

Marc Savard injures back. Ouch! Hopefully it'll heal properly for him.

And you guys thought Croatia was tough. Argh! Stupid GDI! 4th mission and we are back on the same map that gave me problems in original Nod campaign. Same map as the one with the nuke truck convoy. GDI started attacking before I managed to get any units out. Finally managed to beat them back somewhat, but I ended up losing because I ran out of funds.
