  1. Actually, once I played Fallout 2 with an unarmed character for the first time, I've never been able to replay the game with an armed character again. It's awesome. At first it makes things a bit harder, but once you get enough levels you are absolutely invincible. Get all the action points perks, as you'll be running all over the place.
  2. but france would not have opposed, either. ah yes, funny how france and russia's opposition was more about oil than our willingness, yet rarely is that mentioned. to quote you for myself "Truth to the extreme." Er..., I wrote that quoted bit, not Astr0creep. Also, I should say it is better to oppose the invasion of a country because of oil than to invade a country because of oil.
  3. I don't see why Iraq is a better launching point than say, Europe, against terrorists based in Africa. And lets not forget that if Iraq's main natural resource was turnips, the U.S. wouldn't have touched Saddam with a fifty foot pole.
  4. I'm playing hearts. Online. Lost against my self-esteem. Haven't seen it since.
  5. This seems like a proper mage. I'm gonna play that class. It's decided.
  6. Bin Laden doesn't want a truce. He just wants Bush to say he'll never make peace, thus making him seem more like a warmongering nut.
  7. Serious willy wavers? There's something you don't see everyday.
  8. Well, my machine barely even ran 3DMark 2003, much less this one, so yes. But my point is that the program is a bit useless when you can use actual games to see if your computer runs whatever you want to play. Why would someone pay 20 bucks for something which is basically a tech demo?
  9. Isn't 3DMark only used by people that just want to say they have bigger Richards than everyone else?
  10. Why all this hate for Red Eye? I thought it was great. The airplane scenes were very well directed.
  11. Most impressive!
  12. Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - West Country Girl
  13. and that Batman and robin make a cute couple. And that's when...
  14. A Water Bomber piloted by scantily clad firewomen appeared to save the day. Unexpectedly...
  15. Actually grilled food is better than boiled. Boiled food leaves a lot of its nutrients in the water.
  16. I just had an idea for a useable ability for the player. Death(y?) could open it's robes to stun people. There would be like a deep never ending chasm inside the robes.
  17. A "Synergistic Processing Unit". It's a processor with a large amount of brute force but a lot less intelligence (that is why it needs an army of programmers to extract its full performance). The PS3's Cell is made up of of 1 PPU (Principal Processing Unit?) and 7 of these SPUs. I think it's Primary Processing Unit.
  18. In what way, exactly? I think he is insulting your drawing skills. :D
  19. The Shop Around The Corner. Classic romantic comedy. Great.
  20. That was just what I was thinking. That seems like a cool idea. My idea would be more centered around an adult with a girlfriend(perhaps wife and kids?) and old parents to take care of who is unwillingly stuck with Death's job. This would be the motivation for him to understand what happened. The basis for the narrative would be Death having to deal with a family and juggle around the job and the land of the dead(think Bettlejuice's social security scenes). Of course, the family doesn't know he's got a new day job. Your idea seems more focused than mine though. And easier to implement.
  21. He probably has an onboard graphics card. And when he says memory he actually means hard disk space.
  22. Max Payne 1 & 2 The Thing
  23. From what you say, the Weird story seems to be the most interesting. Would that be set in the land of the dead, or somewhere else? I think such a story could(should?) be set in the real world. The PC could be someone that takes Death's place. He could be the next in line to die, but doesn't die due to Death's disappearance.
  24. I voted story and character interaction. To me this seems to be essential in an adventure game. I was going to post something about gameplay and narrative development fitting together, but Llyranor beat me to it. So I'll just say he really has a point and that I think this is the only way to go for story based games. @Roleplayer: Agora sei o teu nome...
  25. Reminds me of From Dusk Till Dawn.
