  1. Old fashioned? Haven't tattoos been around for ages?
  2. Barcelona was fun. When you weren't fighting, that is.
  3. My system runs it like the wind. :D
  4. why won't your parents help? Were you born in China?
  5. Neither, but I'd say it's closer to Gothic. To the best of my knowledge you never see your own face so you don't know what you look like. It's the way of System Shock. Dont expect character creation at the start of the game. However, I wouldn't call Oblivion's PC a blank slate in any way. You get to choose its appearence, sex and you can fiddle around with the attributes as you see fit.
  6. Neither, he's a blank slate.
  7. Character designs in Oblivion look like they were due sheer incompetence. The FaceGen program that they licenced for Oblivion makes better random faces than any in Oblivion. And, after about an hour and half with the game, I could make faces with Oblivion that were better than any faces the professional paid artists did for the game. It's like they couldn't even be bothered to do their jobs properly.
  8. I'd be honored. However, I'd rather have a free copy of NWN2. Doesn't even have to be a collector's edition. But of course, I believe the likelihood of that happening is generally referred to as "fat chance".
  9. Newell hates that. He thinks games should be linear, with as little options for the player as possible. Streamlined is the hype word. Go him.
  10. Yay!! My suggestion is loved by everyone! Do I get a prize if it wins?
  11. Neither, the character is a blank slate. The logo is the awesomeness! (w00t) (w00t)
  12. Another vote for The Thin Red Line. It's brilliant.
  13. Don't be angry Pretty Nose, but Keanu couldn't act his way out of a cardboard box. I've been told I bear a certain likeness to the guy, but I have a sneaking suspicion that my friends say it just to insult me. And I do. Feel insulted, I mean. On topic: I went to see Me and You and Everyone We Know. Not as infuriatingly romantic as I thought it would be. It's a great movie for a date.
  14. I'm listening to the soundtrack to The Thin Red Line. All film DVDs should come with the soundtrack as an extra.
  15. The stickied thread.
  16. Krookie has stated previously that he doesn't read books released before he was born. Which of course means he has never read anything worth reading. And by the way, You had to read Jurassic Park for school? Talk about low standards of teaching.
  17. I'm talking about proficiency, not just being able to speak basic English. Perhaps you need to widen your English vocabulary.
  18. Yes, but that doesn't mean that all languages are equal in terms of complexity. There's just more stuff to learn about Portuguese before you can become proficient than there is to learn about English.
  19. Which parts of Japanese are less complex than western languages?
  20. Yes, of course. I'm not saying that isn't true. But that doesn't mean that languages are all equally hard to learn. It's just that, for example, a Portuguese native speaker learns a lot about speaking Spanish while learning how to speak Portuguese, even if he isn't aware of it at first. As an example of what I'm trying to say, Portuguese is grammatically much more complex than English. Furthermore, Portuguese has a much larger vocabulary than English.
  21. Yes. It belongs to a subset of the Germanic group, which includes the other Scandinavian languages.
  22. No. There are no universal easy or hard languages to learn. The more different the language happens to be from your language the harder it is to learn. That isn't strictly true. Languages vary a lot in complexity. Japanese, for example is much more complex than any western language.
  23. Danish, Swedish and Norwegian are fairly easy to learn.
