While the increased debt is a huge problem of many in this bill, it seems like it's the medicaid cuts that will be most disastrous. Obviously it will have direct consequences for the millions who depend on it to survive, but that's just the start, rural hospitals also depend on medicaid money to run at all, and the cuts will mean large areas of the US without access to any healthcare. Additionally, healthcare is the largest employment sector in the US and medicaid is one of the main sources of financing for the industry. So the economic consequences will also be catastrophic. Fun times for Americans, especially in MAGA land.

Is this a poll of strategists, or just Dem voters? It makes perfect sense that voters would go for someone like Buttigieg or AOC. They want a break with the establishment, that people like Biden, Harris or Newsom represent. Electability is an entirely different question, of course, but what voters want is someone who would actually represent their views. Someone like AOC would be that.

People will rightfully mention their favourite comics by Peter David, but the thing about him is that he wrote comics on a monthly basis for over 40 years at a level of quality that even other acclaimed writers can only dream of. Just for Marvel he wrote over 800 comics, quite a few of which were all time classics, and almost all of them were quality, well done comics. Plenty of rightly acclaimed writers struggle to put out consistently good scripts for even two or three years. He did it from the 80s until he passed away.
