  1. And I've derailed a thread with just a simple subtitle. I'm quite the moderator. Back on topic, puny denizens.
  2. No. Bioware's standards of writing have never really changed perceptibly, though, so I'd surprised if ME2's dialogue is noticeably worse.
  3. You misunderstand me. New Vegas' gameplay mechanics discussion now has Ewoks, not the game itself.
  4. It will, at least, be as good as KOTOR's dialogue.
  5. Start of old thread End of old thread New Vegas gameplay mechanics discussion goes here.
  6. It's a Belgian game. I don't mind the convo animations. It's nowhere as exaggerated as in Drakensang, where characters would wave around their arms every 5 seconds. The art direction, character development, music & side quests of this game kick Dragon Age in the teeth. I guess, I'll have to buy it, then. 15
  7. So women have a thing for men who look like they haven't slept in a year? Because that's what Thane looks like.
  8. She looks like a BDSM lesbian. She's not as blatantly unattractive as Juhani, but I certainly wouldnt hit it. You wouldn't hit it because you have no taste. She's hawt.
  9. Remove the giant percentage completion signs or at the very least make them optional. Please. Turning character development into a metagaming collectathon isn't a good idea, especially in a game where the narrative and the player's relationship with the characters are an essential part of the gameplay.
  10. He talks like my grandmother, then.
  11. While more activity will be nice and something I've been wanting, I hope things don't turn into something akin to the Bioware forums. And not just because of the extra mod workload.
  12. Nice try! Corrected link. Awards for 2009 ORLY Your editing skills are weak.
  13. Really? That many? I had no idea. I was convinced the numbers were closer to the ones for Finland.
  14. Heh, I know. It was a cheap blow on my part, just for the lulz. Regarding Sweden, immigrants are a very small part of the population, unlike in the States, so that could be the difference between Sweden and the US when it comes to violence. That isn't the case, at all, when comparing Sweden to Finland, however.
  15. The roleplaying aspects of DeusEx were excellent, in terms of the options provided by the gameplay, if not in terms of the rules system, itself.
  16. It's like if a game is a genre hybrid, it excuses any mediocrity exclusive to each of its parts.
  17. They had legal alien street violence when I was there. Multiculturalism was the problem, not legality.
  18. I'm not sure if MW is more complex or textier than Daggerfall. Daggerfall had a lot of unique content, despite the randomness.
  19. IIRc Julian LeFay was the mover and shaker on both Arena and Daggerfall. I've heard he had a limited role in MW and left during or soon after development because he didn't like the way things were going. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. But regardless, MW, which had a lot of problems, was still, I think, a much more complex and interesting game than what came after. I think Ted Peterson was the writer of all the best stuff, though. LeFay is a programmer (and designer?).
