  1. Hi everyone. I think DS3 left a lot of unresolved matters in its plot. Some things should be better explored in DS3, such as the circumstances in which Lucas's father killed King Hendrick, or how Anjali was killed before being resurrected by the Creator Gods and found by Odo. I am looking forward for a sequel involving the same four legionnaires, with a significant change in each one's dialogue options, and with unique quests for each one. I felt their bios had excellent background material for that, but it wasn't explored in DS3. And also a good plot involving important NPCs from DS3, such as Odo, Marten, Jeyne Kassynder and Queen Roslyn; how would be Ehb after Jeyne's defeat, under Queen Roslyn's rule? Not to mention the Lamasu's prophecies involving sister Eleanor and the future Grandmaster of the Legion...
  2. Useful Hint Save you game near any store. I recommend the savepoint at Abbey of St. Hiram because the vendor there sells high-level equipment (level 3 tier - in Lucas's case, full platemail/tower shields/greaves). If you don't like what he sells, just reload the game and try again. Seems a bit cheesy, but it will certainly save you money, and I think one character gaining much more good equipment than the other isn't fair either
  3. Yeah, playing as Lucas requires a bit more strategy. He is more Focus-build rather than Power-build like Katarina. Being short on ranged attacks also requires more dodging/stunning strategies (and a good coordination when pressing PC/console buttons as well). But if one is patient and build him right, he
  4. 1. It may influence your "Influence Bar" with your sidekicks depending on which one you have active during the conversation. But it does not change overall gameplay. 2. The Gent gets mad with confinement and returns to the Causeways. Sigismund Wulf loses the election for Mayor of Stonebridge. But again, aside from the final slideshow, it does not change overall gameplay either. 3. Depending on how much influence you have with your partners, you
  5. SPOILERS The equipment mentioned above will always appear for Lucas even if he isn
  6. SPOILERS!! By the way, is Katarina the main char? If yes, that
  7. I would suggest a rebalance for random items in chests and drops from non-bosses. I think that
  8. And depending on how good your "blue" items are, some "epic" loot may seem weak in comparison to them. Though for me , the epic loot found in the DLC was pretty nice, especially for your sidekicks who have a much smaller chance to get good random items when compared to the main character. Some items in the DLC, once acquired, may last until the end of the game
  9. The main campaign was good overall. The DLC was great, too. There were some issues that could be improved, though. One of them was the camera - it was a pain when it suddenly zoomed right into the ground or over my character
  10. I used the special healing mostly as a " despair button" when my health was very low while being chased by hordes of undead. It also saved my companion's butt sometimes. I agree with you though, the specials are a double-edged sword . With Lucas, especially, you can refill his health bar by using live by the sword + some heavy-hitting, multi-target skill , and in top of of it, kill a lot of mobs and refill his power orbs...and with more power orbs, he can activate his graceful repose again, and again...
  11. I felt the same. I wanted to play the DLC with Katarina first, but the only save I had for her was level 30 at East Forest. Then I went there with Lucas (he was the only character for whom I had an earlier save, just after beating the Dapper Old Gent). Then today I started a new game with Kat (sigh)... but to my surprise, Bogdan (the bandit in front of the legion chapterhouse) dropped a Minor Warding Essence. Seems that if you start a new game with DLC installed, mobs (including those fought in earlier stages of the game) will drop Essences. Which is not so bad at all, since you can stock them to enchant your items later.
  12. No, the fire damage is instantaneous, as well as the healing spell. Their power depends on the number of full Power Spheres you have avalilable when you activate them (they eat up all your spheres, though). I used the Shield special power for just a while, I don
  13. The flame power does huge damage (interestingly , you can score criticals with it - 6k+ if you have 4 full power spheres- don
  14. I went with Lucas and the powers were also those you mentioned (column of fire, improved healing and a shield ability) so I guess they are the same for all 4 characters.
  15. What I meant to say is that choosing an "optimistic" response wil have a chance to please *either* Lucas or Reinhart. You can
  16. In my games when I had Reinhart as an AI-companion he did it well, with a few flaws (only when extremely outnumbered, but I supposed this will happen with most AI-companions.). His Mirror Leap was quite useful.
  17. Katarina: as an AI companion, once I got Flintlock Fury she forgot about Heartseeking Shot...it is nice for most fights (just a few mobs survive the hail of bullets long enough to come close), but quite annoying in bosses where Heartseeking Shot would do more damage and more critical hits. In my games she summoned Dark Hounds quite often, but less than Anjali. Upgraded her Warding Ritual to slow/cause damage to enemies but she didn't use it much when controlled by AI...different from what I did when using her as a player char. I got quite frustrated with it. I wish she used more her Chosen Prey and Call of the Hunt but for me she didn
  18. Shift + 1 is still bearable, though. Fortunately, Heartseeking Shot is under this category, as is Lucas's shieldbash. Actually, those two offensive abilities in their empowered versions were the ones I used the most. Although I mastered Reinhart
  19. Totally agree. AI companions sometimes do weird (and dangerous ) things like "Not Using Volatile Barrier" or " Performing Spinning Kick on Large Enemies". Ugh. I am almost falling in the temptation of ditching her for Lucas again, at least in this Reinhart plythrough. But I spent a lot of of money buying her the best gear I could, so Lucas will have to wait
  20. It's interesting-- this go-round with Reinhart, she's using a ton of Spinning Kick (she went nuts with it on a cyclops not that long ago this playthrough, six in a row, and got stuck in the pose), Hurl Spear every once in a while, and she's used Fall From the Heavens three times this playthrough and I'm at the Spire. Aura of Immolation she's only occasionally using. In fact, she switches to summon a jackal, throws a few fireballs, and goes to town with Spinning Kick. She's barely been using Volatile Barrier, even though she should have several times. I've had to revive her a *lot.* In my games, the girls didn
  21. How interesting. Now in my second playthrough with Reinhart, I decided to stick with Anjali throughout the game (last time I played with him I ditched her for Lucas). I
