The point is that there is an inconsistency in logans character. Early on he is shown as being unnable to understand that sometimes the lives of a few people need to be sacrificed, later on he condemns 900 people easily. The nerve agent shown in 24 is one of the deadliest ever. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VX But youre right, injection immediately after exposure can save a life. But I still think jacks actions taking off the mask and exposing himself is just a bunch of retardedness. Its way too cheesy.

Du Hast isnt one of their best songs though. Try some of the others recommended as well! If you decide to get an album, I recommend Mutter. It has a very epic feeling to it, like its accompanying a great battle or something. One reviewer said that Mutter is music for the next invasion of poland! Rammstein is an amazing band and industrial metal is kickass music.

Only a small bit of gas got out, not the entire canister. And gas DOES dissipate in air. That, and they gave the girl a shot of...something, can't remember what it was...to counteract the nerve agent. Oh, and Jack didn't breath in the mall 'till he got out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerve_gas If this stuff is dangerous even when it contacts the skin, is jack running around the shopping mall carrying a child and wearing no mask(much less a full body suit) plausible? Jack used to be a normal guy now theyve turned him into some sort of superman with incredible powers.

Am I the only one that thinks the item design in Diablo was retarded? All they did was create two different groups of item attributes that could be assigned to each item. This allowed for easy random item creation (the goal of the system) but made every single item in the game feel generic. It's not revolutionary. It's boring. Furthermore, as far as I know, even in D2 you couldn't find a single item that had a specific attribute that you couldn't find anywhere else in the game. As such, to me, even D2's unique items were boring. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The system in diablo 1 was revolutionary despite its simplicity. A lot of games just had items which were the same whenever you played, in diablo you got different items always. You have not gone deep enough into diablo 2. Diablo 2 has a lot of set items, unique items and runewords with special attributes found nowhere else. For example, the unique cats eye amulet I just found gives me 30 pecernt faster attack speed and 20 percent faster walk, which is unique among amulets. The high level runewords also give you special auras, the ability to slay monsters permanently, and many other powers not found in normal items.

In the same way that Destiny's child's songs are masterpieces of popular music and The Da Vinci Code is a masterpiece of english literature? Blizzard's ability to make games that sell millions of units is to be admired though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. These games are masterpieces because both games for their time revolutionized the character building process. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Revolution? I think I'll skip commenting on that (in the spirit of saying nothing, when you have nothing nice to say) and instead just speculate that you probably haven't seen many PnP RPG systems, let alone a host of cRPGs that could be mentioned... Monty Haul and Munchkinism.... Not exactly traits that I would praise a game for. Especially not when it's built on top of mindless hack 'n slash. Diablo II may have been fun at times, but it was woefully unoriginal and lacked any sort of replay value, at least for me, once all the movies had been seen. The one thing it had was the dark tone of the story and it's gothic elements. If the put those succesfully in an RPG, it'll really be a winner. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you like gothic atmosphere play the original diablo, it is amazingly gothic and satanic. If you dont like building characters, then diablo 2 isnt the game for you, obviously, since it is all about building characters. No one hacks and slashes because they like it, they hack and slash because they like the cool items they get after doing it. And I dont play pnp, and I do not believe that there is any crpg with a better equipment system than diablo 2.

Yes, diablo 1 had a simply incredible atmosphere. It really felt like a demonic game. Diablo 2 has this retarded cartoon fantasy look and is filled with stupid things like insects and catwomen, what a load of ****.

Diablo 1 came up with a system of random magic prefixes and suffixes and base items, and you could spend hours searching shops and killing monsters trying to find better equipment for your character. For years no other game provided a similar item hunting experience. Diablo 2 refined this by adding in set items, rare items, crafted items, exceptional items, more uniques, elite items, runewords, runes, gems, socketed items etc etc etc. Now no matter what you find there is always something better out there, and you can spend as much time as you want building your character and making him stronger and stronger. I dont think any game out there offers such unlimited character development.

At the beginning it was ridiculous when tony and michelle were going to ctu to offer their help. Just because they used to run the place means they can just randomly walk in whenever they feel like it and do whatever they want even though they are already civilians? Theres ****ing NERVE GAS in the air, and jack TAKES OFF his mask, puts it on a child who has already been exposed, runs out with her and saves her from the brink of death? WTF? How do you save someone who has breathed in nerve gas? The mask removed the gas from her lungs/bloodstream? And jack doesnt die despite removing his mask in a room with nerve gas in it? (gas that supposedly has a radius of several miles) Whoever wrote this season of 24 must be a complete moron to come up with such ridiculous and retarded scenes.
-
Sorry, wrong forum. Can one of the mods please move this to general discussion?

24 used to be really good but now its just getting retarded. Earlier on in this season, the president was getting freaked out with just 1 or 2 people dying because of the government, saying he wont accept the deaths of innocent people, and now he just authorizes the deaths of a thousand people? Some white guy just pops out of nowhere and tells the terrorists how to use the canister? (and no explanation is given about who the hell he is, how he knows the terrorists, how he knew how to contact them, how he knows how to arm us government nerve gas canisters) Jack has saved america a thousand times and the terrorists still dont know who he is? This is ridiculous. Season 1 and 2 were amazing but since then the series has gone insane.

God I ****ing love that song.

Both diablo games were masterpieces of computer gaming.

I knew it!

I was gonna post some lyrics, but isnt this basically a spam topic? People just posting lyrics that no one else is going to read?
-
Yeah a lot of the cool guys have been relegated to the sides. And a lot of crap people are kept in the limelight. It sucks. Given that sayeed was part of the revolutionary guard, it seems kinda retarded that he wasnt even a part of the plan to form an army.

I dont think there is anything wrong with using such terms. I for example always tell my relatives that Indian music is absolute crap and that they should stop listening to all that garbage, and I am racially an Indian. Does this mean that I am racist against myself? I have even heard black people say that they dont like black music(yes, they used those exact terms), are these black people racist against themselves? I have also heard black people saying they dont like white music, and I dont see anything offensive in that. I say down with political correctness. Political correct speech is just a bunch of crap invented by racists who have an overwhelming need to not be racist.

Actually I wasnt going anywhere, these are all products of your active PC imagination. Your are grasping at straws. But actually youre right, metal is white music since a lot of the best bands are from northern europe(uk, scandinavia, finland and germany) and also the us/canada. But why would I refer to metal as white music? I would only use the terms white music if I needed a catch all phrase to describe most of the music produced by white people. Thus white music would include metal, classical, country, viking and celtic folk music and many other genres, most of which have nothing to do with metal. And since I dont like most of the other genres of western music(because I think everything is crap except for metal), I have no reason to lump metal together with them. Thus I have no reason to use the terms white music to describe metal.

Exactly, which is why credit should not be given to a broad "race" but to the involved parties regardless of race. I believe all the rap artists that contributed to the genre should be credited regardless of race. Eminem, included. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eminem should definitely be credited with making contributions to the rap genre and exposing it to a wider audience, but he should not be credited with the origin of rap. The origin of rap is credited to the african artists that preceded him. Like I said, just because eminem showed up doesnt mean that black people didnt create rap. Do you think that eminem simply invalidates the generations of black artists that preceded him? I believe in giving credit to who it is due, irregardless of political correctness.

Why not? Music is a tool for cultural expression, and there is nothing wrong with linking it to the cultures that it originated from. If I can say Celtic Folk Music, Indian Classical Music, Japanese Pop, New Wave of British Heavy Metal, German Industrial Metal, Gothenburg style Death Metal, then I can most definitely say Black Music as well. But nooooo..... It isnt politically correct to link anything with black people!
-
Except you are calling it "black music" not to credit them for it, but saying it in such a way that comes across more like.. "rap is crap!" "Why?" "Well, it is black music what do you expect?" You have stated how much you hate rap in this thread and I doubt you coin the phrase to "credit" them for it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have said that rap is crap and I have said that it is black. I have never said that it is crap because it is black. You are attempting to link two completely unrelated things. Either you are purposely doing this to twist my words, or you have an overactive imagination. Irregardless of my opinion that rap, hip hop and rnb are crap, the fact is that they have been invented by black people. Even The Pope calls rap black music. And despite what I think, the fact is that people of all races enjoy these styles of music. Do you not beleive that credit for rap should be given to black people? Or do you believe that just because Eminem showed up, black people should not be given credit for rap music? I see no reason to be one of those politically correct retards. Rap is black and that is a fact and I will call a spade a spade and I am not going to call it a club just because it is the politically correct thing to do. In any case, I think all music is crap except for metal (and I dont even like most types of metal music).

My name on the forums is my name in real life. Why do most people adopt a different name(or sometimes even a different personality or identity) when they are online? Are they not content with being themselves?
-
We definitely have a lot to be greatful to them for, despite the **** they produce nowadays. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uh, that is only a percentage. Not all black musicians produce rap and hip-hop. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah but a majority of black musicians are involved in rap, hiphop and rnb.

I liked it a lot as well, really looking forward to the next one. I wonder what jack, kate and locke will do after being turned into complete fools? The only thing I dont like about lost is the whole charlie and the baby storyline. I like how locke helped him get rid of his drug addiction in the first season, but ever since then it has simply got tiring. Charlie, the formerly pregnant girl and the baby are now just annoying me. When will the dumbass get that the girl doesnt like him anymore and just move the **** on? Maybe they are just running out of interesting characters to show. Boone and his sister shouldnt have been killed off, it would have been interesting to see how their semi incestous relationship developed with saeed in the middle. I dont think I really want to see libby, rose and her husband much, probably because they have hardly been developed. Or maybe they just have no idea what to do with the interesting characters they already have. I want to see more of the other characters, like saeed, jin, eko, desmond, the french girl etc.
