  1. So now that you burned through everything in less than a month, are you gonna start another character?
  2. I'd give my left nut for anything AAA cyberpunk. Nothing shiny, mainstream and hi tech like DX HR, but real dirty cyberpunk a la Blade Runner. But basically I'd do the same for any futuristic game that doesn't include jedi, space marines and clean design in it.
  3. It might not end up a bad game, although if the story and gameplay end up being like WoW and they don't try to take the MMO further than that - then I don't see the point of it. It also might be a bit too much to expect another Starcraft game with two coming up already. Yet they haven't had a new IP for so long you kinda stop expecting them to do anything but milk their existing ones. Oh yeah these are the people that take at least half a decade to make a game, why are we discussing this again? We might not even be playing it in this incarnation
  4. I'm a little curious about what Blizzard is planning on the MMO front. I know they have a WoW expansion in the pipeline, but WoW is like 8 years old at this point. They've got to have another MMO in development at this point, but I wonder how far along it is and whether they are ramping up development on it? Will it be WoW 2, or will it go another direction? Maybe they'll mention it in 2013. I somehow doubt it'll be WoW 2, they kinda wore out Azeroth a little too much just to remake it again.
  5. Well this is one of those cases where normally everything would be fine if everyone kept their mouth shut, but since it got out, the law's the law as they say. The age ratings still remain stupid and arbitrary however, especially for "under 18" content.
  6. Does this mean he can no longer play his copy of TOR, or that he's just been kicked out of the forums?
  7. That sounds suspiciously like the actual gameplay.
  8. I do want to play it, I just don't want to pay for it.
  9. FYI, ME3 uses Origin, which means you can't play a used copy. Well, my friends will just have to hate me more than usual. There's no way I'm funding Bioware and EA (any longer). If I don't get to play it, no great loss there - I could probably guess half the storyline if you woke me up in the middle of the night. After a concussion.
  10. Well, its a three to four day game so no complaining.
  11. I'll borrow Mass Effect 3 if I'm able, to wrap that up but I'm not buying it. I no longer have my save files, but I probably won't miss out on much there if the ME to ME2 transition is anything to go buy. Quite interested in the new Xcom, I have a lot of faith in Firaxis. Will watch the new Max Payne and new GTA from a distance. Max Payne was really a perfect stand alone game, the sequel was completely unnecessary so I'm not hot about this one either. New GTA will have to bring something fresh to the table or there's no point investing in that anymore. I loved IV because of its story and protagonist but overall the actual gameplay felt worn out, rehashed. I'll make up my mind up about South Park after the demo comes out. Beyond that, who knows. Here's hoping that PC gaming extracts itself from the quagmire its languishing in this year. I'm tired of badly ported, graphically poor, gameplay dumb console games.
  12. I'm in the process of rediscovering my PS2 starting with Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2 co-op with my gf. It boggles the mind how many good games that console has.
  13. Typing of the dead. Great fun and actually useful too.
  14. The game will of course suck, about as much as Diablo 2. Not that that's going to stop hordes from playing it.
  15. We could wait for it to come out to slam it, for the sake of appearances if nothing else.
  16. There's nothing really social about playing online games, unless you're doing it in the same room with friends or family. Even then its not really a social activity because you're interacting primarily with the game, which requires the greatest part of your concentration and not with other people. Sad but true. In shooters especially, where players are no more than slightly more sophisticated bots.
  17. I tried that with the Dark elves and has seen my team take several casualties. Conclusion, elves are better in run and passes than in contact play. Dark elves can play a more aggressive game, just not too aggressive. You still have to play the game, not "lets beat the other guys up" My Orks have no choice, with high elf agility I can't run and score reliably, so I bunch up in the center and crawl to the other end forcing them to come to me. And I can only score once or twice because with each scoring their KOed players might return to the game. But the absolute nightmare team to play contact against are the undead. The have good specialized players for everything and regeneration on every player. My only hope is targeting the ghouls which are the scorers 90% of the time.
  18. Bloodbowl still. Hilarious match: come third quarter of the game the opposing elven team was as follows: 2 badly hurt, 1 broken jaw, 1 broken ribs, 1 smashed knee, 3 knocked out. 3 elven players left on the field, against 11 of my ork boyz, I have the ball near the touchline two turns before the end. The remaining three players far far away from the ball surrounded by black orks and blitzers. Wonderful. There simply is no substitute for beating elves into a pulp.
  19. Still playing Blood Bowl. Leveling my Orks through the campaign. I love playing against elves. If they don't slam me two touchdowns in the first half, I maim half of their team come end of the game. My last game was hilarious, there were 5 badly hurt and 3 knocked out elves in the second half - so there were only three left in the field. And 10 of my boyz to guard those three, and a goblin to deliver a touchdown in the last turn. But there were still two turns left to the game, so I proceeded to stomp those three until the last possible moment. I'll conclude that any game that lets you beat elves into a pulp is a good game.
  20. Action RPGs are the new RPGs. What do you mean, "more"? More as in after ME, JE, DA2, KOTOR, Gothic/Risen, Divinity, the upcoming Diablo rehash and every other button mashing action game with levelling you could name The concept has worn thinner than the sole of a miser's slippers.
  21. Getting back on topic, I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of those try before you buy titles. Preferably, borrow and try all the way to the end then return and forget about it. On a related note: do we really need more action RPG's?
  22. Lewis is right. Besides most of this stuff is ivory tower intellectual gibberish - most women, that being 90%+ still behave like women and expect to be treated as such A case could be made for the opposite stance - that the enforced equality (which turns into bias towards women in certain cases) has become pretty ridiculous and even damaging for society.
