One is sometimes overtaken by the black dog, at such moments of introspection i simply have to tell myself that at least i'm not french. Recently been tucking into some fine Fallow deer venison, superior to Roe or Red in my opinion.

Ha, bloody mary sunday. Good one.

Come on everybody, let's join hands and sing that traditional celtic refrain: "All englishmen are bastards." So long as they're just glorifying their past terrorism, rather than perpetrating new atrocities on english soil, i'm fine with it. Of course i'm not on patrol on the falls road, worrying that the half house bricks thrown at me might be swapped for a hi frag at any moment. Then again i've never met an alcoholic beverage that I didn't get on with splendidly.

So gentle gamers all, in your discerning opinion, is it worth playing through ME2 again to get an import into this game or should I just be happy with Shep dying on the suicide mission. If answered in the affirmitive is it: BUY IT NOW YOU BENIGHTED FOOL, or wait for the inevitable release on steam and subsequent sale.

Hmmm maybe so, always good to keep a government on its toes and wary but i'd prefer that be done through a free press (not wealthy individuals mouthpieces) and transparency in all things. Rather than possibly personally biased and unaccountable individuals, whom the establishment can dismiss and demonise all too easily.

I enjoyed it immensely, rather Chaucerish romp. 1. Probably be as buggy as hell on first release, however they're very good with support. 2. You have a profound effect on the world around you, eye of the storm and all that hokum. 3. Combat's basically arkham asylum with swords once you're good at it but with a touch more emphasis on preparation and winning before you've started.

Erm, are they the little men sticking it to the system? Educated, wealthy enough to afford good hardware and with enough free time on their hands to practise and perpetrate their anarchy. Viewed objectively, one could see them as the true beneficiaries of the sytems they supposedly oppose. Free of oversight or responsibility, the fat men riding the big white elephant.

Me physician prescribed me laudanum for a touch of the cough i've been suffering from, one is beginning to suspect he may be a little past the mandatory retirement age. I've got to recommend the stuff, however i'm beginning to develop an unhealthy affection for frilly shirts and weird poetry about doomed dutch seamen.

You're just not seeing the real story, he wants to go back to the cold war therefore the little gollums built a flaming time machine. It's the plot of many bad video games brought to fruition, now we just need for Putin to build himself a mech suit suitable for an end game boss and an improbably named hero: I vote for Ozymandias Gunn. Hail to the king of kings baby. Well i'll be a son of a Gunn. Talk to the Gun, 'cause the Gunn aint listening. Good, bad - i'm the man with the Gunn. This dreck writes itself.

The sounds of the ghost people scared the bejesus out of me, on more than one ocassion.

Is it just me or do the little stories in the wasteland carry much more emotional punch than the main plot? Maybe it's just because of the overall scope, like a huge bloody novel as opposed to a tight focused short story, but the tragedies of the vaults and the dlc's are so much more immediate to me. I honestly had a lump in my throat when I left the Sierra Madre and finally unearthed the whole sick story of Vault 11. Might be just because i've delayed the main plot for so long, haven't even settled up with Benny yet. I was also damn surprised by how effective Christines communication was in Dead Money, to the point where I was a little disappointed when I found her speaking again, it seemed to diminish her character.

Sheer bloody favoritism! I have to pay good money to get that done to me at the local knocking shop, he gets it free from the americans because his daddies in oil.

You wont play the last part of the trilogy due to RP reasons? Also can't be bothered creating another sandbox for Origins to run in like Steam.

For me the Mass Effect games were rip roaring adventures, somewhat like H. Rider Haggard translated into a rather larger theatre. Lost civilisations, exotic foreigners, the thrill of combat, alien vistas and a touch of camaraderie with Wrex and Garrus. I won't be indulging in the third as my Shepard died on the suicide mission, I wouldn't say it's important or innovative but it was an eminently satisfying diversion. A good game.

Logical, still think they'd be able to jury rig their own technology however. If only because they were present during its creation.
-
So since it's proven by Sovereign that the reapers can override their own technology, the question has to be asked: Why didn't one of the invasion fleet stop over at Charon when entering the Sol system and flick the off switch?
-
Erm, why are the reapers letting people use their relays? Why not just shut them down until the reaping.

Is this game worth getting?

Damn good game, tight, bug free, enjoyable responsive combat with an excellent story and characters. The beginning is a little dry but once past that the somewhat linear plot really does begin to drag you into the conflict. I'd recommend it wholeheartedly, the player characters available are well defined and distinctive as well; both in terms of abilities and personality. -
Now that looks utterly spiffing Sorophx, one assumes they're trudging through the Fimbul winter before Surtr's flames consume Midgard; and that the narrator with the head ornamentation is some manner of half troll or jotun. I was always a little intrigued by the old norse enchantment with banners, of all the treasures the hard ruler brought back from far Miklgard, it is said that he valued the landwaster standard above them all. The enemies (the large chaps in the black plate) look a mite pony however.

And this is the weapons bench, which you can romance if you're a psychopath (male or female).

South Park RPG

Instead of an approval system, with factions and npc's, should there be an authoriteh system? Will Kenny's subtitles still be muffled? -
Spurred on by the Honest Hearts dlc for New Vegas I watched an old favourite, the Mission with Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons. Fantastic movie where DeNiro actually seems to vary up his performance and for once not just rely on the same old tools. It's all the more striking when you realise it was based on actual events.

One has to wonder whether at some point they'll just release a character creator as the main game and have the rest carved out for dlc, got to be running through some Bioware executives head right now.

At low levels the character concept is fine, it defines how you approach the world because of limited skills and specialisation. I'm currently around level 40 however and pretty much good at everything and am thus beginning to lose my sense of character. This is the strength of class based systems over skills. Personally i'd like an Alpha Protocol system where only tagged skills can advance to the maximum, thereby ensuring I retain my character image. Then again i'm against the world pandering to my character and will happily accept limitations due to my choices, don't really want to succeed in every endeavour. Too perfect.

Just finished Dead Money, bravo sirs, tragic and touching while maintaining a brilliant moral ambiguity. I also appreciate the efforts to stymie the characters reliance on familiar tactics and equipment, though to my spartan sensibilities there was still too much clutter in inventory. Reinvigorated my stalled progress in the main campaign.
