What exactly is the point you seem so desperate to make? I'm talking about the past not what will happen in the future. As a side note: there's also some evidence to support the idea that the solar wind itself will protect the earth in the instance we don't have magnetic field protection for any length of time.

Actually a mage in morrowind (especially an enchanter) is downright lethal. Once I discovered the joys of enchanting, I played Morrowind as a FPS.
