Yes, I meant the bonus items. Most literally do nothing and require you to do some of the most absurd things. Beyond the superficial resemblances (Civil war as the darkspawn/others approach), there isn't much in the way of similarity between DA and ASoIaF.

Dragon Age 2: Warrior edition. Teleporting paratroopers. All locations are standardized. Choice of Psycho!Hawke, Sassy!Hawke, Boy Scout!Hawke. No exceptions. Pointless hordes of DLC. Even Volourn "BIO4EVA" gave it a 5/10. What do you mean there are no major design flaws?

Doom II... but no Doom? What? -
You're not playing properly, then. Only the adept is truly useless on Hardcore and up. Try vanguard if you're bored of cover, biotic charge fully recharges your barriers.

Use mods like this one. You'll thank me later. Almost. I have no idea. Probably.

My god. I just imagined saboteurs sneaking into military storage areas and replacing all heatsinks with exothermic substitutes as part of the war effort. I blame all of you and derailing DnD sessions.

If her being tortured in this way is of some relevance, perhaps. Of course you may have noticed the male prisoner in the Triss version of the story has also been whipped (and seems to be in worse shape than the woman, he can't walk without Geralt's aid), yet he still has a shirt on. Addendum: The oman seems to be a political prisoner, the man, not so much. Branding the woman on any easily visible location would ruin the results of her signing something. Perhaps the woman intended to take advantage of the Theiss Titillation Theory for protection?
-
I know, I thought I was being witty. Uh, judging from that scene, the guy likely intended to brand the woman with a glowing metal... thing. Clothes would get in the way and get set on fire.

Stop confusing DA2 with TW2.
-
Oh well. Here's hoping they aren't overly elaborate.

Maybe his plate armour got wrecked and he's stuck with maille, brigandine etc.?

And you're accusing me of profiling? It's a drow. That's practically Victorian era fashion for them. -
There's an open source remake.

I could tell you that [all - (typical one in a thousand)] = most, but I think you know that as well as I do. That said, I'll agree that most females, I think I'll even go so far as to say most people, aren't going to emulate cartoonish fantasy characters under normal circumstances due to the utter impracticality of such outfits. And have a rather more archetypical fantasy render: -
Use your common sense, Bioware would've said "Sold more than 2 million copies" if DA2 had sold more than 2 million copies. Assuming they'd use standard rounding methods, the greatest margin of error you'd get from that announcement is 0.5 million copies. If we take 1.5million (largest deviation) for two week sales, then VGChartz has an accuracy of ~30%.

X3:Reunion with XTM is good. Cheap at 10USD. Oolite is free and essentially a port of elite to modern OS. Space Rangers 2: Return of the Dominators is a nice blend of turn based space sim and RTS missions. Vega Strike is a decent trading and combat sim, but a little hard to get used to.

I'd love to know where I dismissed people for laughing at VGChartz. As far as I know, I've only dismissed you for posting nonsense. I'd also like to refer you to where I already said it's an estimate which I'd compared with Bioware's sales figures and found to be relatively accurate.

How you look doesn't change who you are, but it changes how people perceive you. Running out into the middle of the street with your underwear worn outside is still going to get you strange looks and people edging away whatever your original intention may be. By the same token, having a female character in a video game run around in bikinis and swimsuits is going to give the wrong impression. Evidently this is not a female. Other than the incessant whinging of the feminists about the objectification of women and causing people to perceive video games as a guy thing, nothing much. Also, obligatory picture: -
Ah, fair enough, although given the way economics is supposed to work, shouldn't the difference between the two be negligible? Given their stated methodology, I don't think the accuracy of their figures is all that bad, particularly since they call retailers in each region to see how many they've sold and use online video game ownership trackers. I've got greater doubts about their estimations for pre-orders and retail panel scaling. As for digital distribution, why do you think I doubled the sales figures for the PC version?
-
I'm completely aware of Bioware saying "Broke the one million mark" instead of "Sold ____ copies" in two weeks. If Bioware is at all honest, that would mean they've sold at least a million copies of DA2 in two weeks. VGChartz gives a comparable sales figure, and as such I see no point in dismissing their estimates out of hand because they're not NPD figures. Nope, I don't pretend to understand commerce, I'm not a businessman.

There's... two images in there. Where'd the other two magically appear from? -
Really? AFAIK Bioware said DA2 sold 1 million copies in two weeks. VGChartz pegs it at 927,857 in two weeks discounting digital distribution (Doubling PC sales figures to account for such would yield 1,109,689). Unless you live in the land of unattainable standards and eternal failure, I'd say that's a pretty decent estimate. Your troll-fu needs work.
-
Are you making an effort, or are you really that retarded? I've quoted a source to go along with the figures. Not that many people take VGChartz seriously, but it's a decent enough general indicator in lieu of NPD figures.
