  1. Summoner 1 was so bad that no comparisons should ever be made... but I can't help feeling that this is precisely the type of game that would emerge if you tried to port summoner 2 onto the PC. For S2 you admittedly had to button mash in order to fight (a situation that would never work - think Diablo! on the PC), but the graphics, gameplay and irritating control systems feel so similar that I can't help but wonder whether these two games are bastard brothers. Admittedly this game tries to cram in more storyline and has futuristic weapons, but they both feel identical as standard crawling rpgs with a bunch of fetch and carry quests! Any Thoughts?
  2. Overpaid self interested bastards on all sides in a sport which, despite generate huge revenues, continues to haemorrage money like nobodies business. Smaller teams should have begun pruning their own wage bills ages ago, yet they are afraid to do so, collecting mountains of debt as they try to keep up with the big boys. If the smaller clubs had begun reducing wages of their own accord they would have lost some players but it would slowly have permeated throughout the whole league system without generating the standoff that occurred. Still, it is a pattern that has emerged in other sports and it is one that is likely to emerge again. Just look at the crisis Leeds United got themselves into in English Football!
  3. English:Total War (civil war) could only work as an expansion like Viking Invasion did and even then the scale would be wrong. After R:TW it would all be very small scale. I think that only Edgehill, Marston Moor and Naseby featured armies of over 10K. To be honest I can't see EUIX's suggestion be taken up either cos it is a conflict that noone in the west has really heard of or is particularly interested in. I think a Greek one might work cos there is some interest in ancient Greek society and culture (even outside the militant gay lobby groups), they stood up to and defeated (on occasion) the armies of the greatest nation of the time (persia) and there was a lot of infighting among the states. The other potentially viable one (imo) that has been suggested is the egyptian campaigns versus hitites numidians etc. However there are already a lot of Pharoah games etc out there. I think it is difficult to predict precisely where it is headed. Personally I want to see Maya:Total War! (or Aztec - it's all good!)
  4. I'd like to see B&W2 in order to judge whether it is worth buying. After the fiasco of the first one, where I anticipated so much greatness and it delivered so little, I'm certainly going to wait before I buy this time!
  5. Crusade: Total War (though touched on already in Medieval) Africa: Total War (colonialism) Greek: Total War (with Sparta, Athens and the other warring cities plus Persia and others!) and don't rule out... Mythology:Total War (Age of Mythology but with Total War!)
  6. Yeah and get a decent QA team to fully evaluate any products they work on prior to release!
  7. America: Total War - You have to import all your units from Europe before some ungrateful in-bred rednecks (allied to the french - shows just how undeserving they are!) rebel and commit genocide as they massacre the locals of the region!
  8. Well you have a choice of two there: 1. WoW 2. Starcraft Ghost (which has been delayed yet again!) You decide
  9. Remind me again why I never felt the need to buy NWN? Oh you just did - nuf said!
  10. Um let me think - spend god knows how long making a mod for an army I'm not even interested in? Eh no! There are some mods already underway though. Daemon Hunters, Emperor's Sons and Eldar Harlequins to name a few.
  11. Well they did release the full modding toolset for the engine - If u want one make your own!
  12. Heh Phosphorescence and Princess Fiona let me down! Turns out it was helium man all along!
  13. These things are all subjective as are your evaluations. Lets leave it at this: Neither of them are great, you're wrong and have crap taste! Vote HL2 for rpg of the year! Hell it gives almost nothing away and it's also a great FPS!
  14. Tea Boy... or maybe office cleaner. If not that then I would be a writer. Trust me if I wrote the storylines they would not be predictable!
  15. U want a freebee? Check out this screenshot... http://www.relicnews.com/index.php?f_area=story&f_id=2554 Baneblade Superheavy Tanks are coming Scale is a little out though! Still rumours of the 'nids coming too!
  16. An axe wielding psychopath ala Kharne the Betrayer!
  17. Dude you are posting in the wrong forum. You need one of the KOTOR2 forums further down the forum list. If it is a bug it may need patching but you may have to wait for a while yet! Either Phosphorescence man or Princess Fiona is bound to move this thread soon!
  18. Close - actually that title belongs to Torment!
  19. No it's not! I read the description & made that mistake - created a character with max Int, min char - useless he couldn't cast a spell - I never did make it out of Irenicus' dungeon with that 1!
  20. Personally I feel now that you should play a Malk only on the second or third run through. That way there is still a lot to discover after your first completion. The extra dialogue reactions to a Malkavian are cool as well cos there are almost no other special dialogue adaptations from NPCs (dependent upon your clan) in the game. Sure the first time you meet Beckett you can point out that you are both Gangrel, but that pales in comparison to the reactions of Skelter, Jeanette, Damsel, Kilpatrick and even Gimble when confronted by your childish insanity. Personally I reckon if they didn't have this variable, replayability would suck so much cos the game is just so linear!
  21. As this is a forum dedicated to suggestions for Obsidian and its employees I thought I would put a few forward. 1. Good hygiene is important. Turning up smelling of halitosis and BO is never a good start. I recommend you should shower or bathe around once a day preferably in the morning. Furthermore I recommend an anti-perspirant deodorant. The perfumy ones are all well and good, but in hot weather or in the unlikely event you exercise (well you are living in the fattest nation on earth) the scent may well prove insufficient to supress the stench! If you suffer from halitosis use mouth wash and drink plenty of beverages regularly (not alcohol). 2. Exercise. Take a decent amount of exercise when you can even, if it is just a 20 minute walk to the local shops. The Kyoto Treaty is ignored by america (so you probably don't know anything about pollution) but it may help reduce your gasoline bills, waistlines and help you sleep better at night. 3. Eat lots of fruit and veg each day. Recommendations are that you should have 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. Portion sizes vary depending on the produce but is often straight forward (i.e. one apple equals one portion!) 4. Don't chew with your mouth open. It is disgusting for people around you and will reduce your appeal with all non-chipmunks out there!
  22. IGN also gave it an 8.7! http://pc.ign.com/articles/586/586154p1.html Damn you've slipped - down 5% in only a month or two. I take it that this means the PC version is far inferior to the Xbox one? Not too good guys!
  23. Play Soulbringer - noone knows what the hell it is so at least you will have something new to bring to the boards (if only to slate it!) You never know it might prove to be the greatest unknown RPG ever created (or a pile of bollox), yet until you test it we will never know - the anticipation is killing me - kiling me so much I think it is time for bed!
  24. Depends where u live. If you were in the UK I would suggest that you look at what companies like PC world, Dell etc are offering then go to somewhere like http://www.savastore.co.uk/ are offering for the individual components. Dell have been offering better dealsrecently but if you decide to keep some of the staple components of your last PC (monitor, mouse, keyboard - hell maybe even the old stack unit you might be able to build yourself a pretty decent machine for a reasonable price!)
  25. Spoil sport! I bet you are really a secret fanboy though. Best explanation for your unwillingness to part with it! I think I found the proof:
