nope. the article (uh, rumor posting) simply said someone was working on an NWN MMO. i wouldn't be surprised, particularly if work on something had started, or contracts were signed, before 4e was officially released. in the end, it all depends upon contract issues i'd guess. taks

my brother gave me a cool cookbook covering the hill in st. louis (and italian in st. louis in general). the hill is a rather well known italian neighborhood on the edge of the city with a few dozen restaurants/eateries that have quite a reputation for quality. the book includes tony's, st. louis' only mobil 5 star restaurant (currently only 4 stars). at least one or two of the recipes included a vegetarian dish i think. i'll look them up when i get home, but i recall thinking they were pretty good. taks

ya'll get too hung up on semantic differences. in the end, it's all statism. by themselves, systems cannot be evil (concepts cannot commit evil acts and thus, cannot be evil in and of themselves). it is the implementation by people that is inherently evil if only because people are forced to do the bidding of others, i.e., people become slaves under statist systems. taks

i personally did not find predator all that iconic in the first place, though i did think it was a decent ahnold flick, just not something to be revered as "art" even by hollywood standards. that said, a remake of either fits fine with me just because... dunno why, just because. hehe, they'd like you to think it was, and maybe, just maybe, in the early days there were those that really, truly, felt they were making art. silent films and all. nobody undertakes a new thing unless they can make money (gotta feed the family, of course), so even if everyone else was altruistically going about their artistic expression, the dudes in charge were seeing $$$. taks

yes. i've been lucky so far: 3 weapons, 2 pets (both wolves), and 3 skillz, plus my stats started out pretty high to begin with. of course, i have no pupils so it is getting to the point that it's not worthwhile to keep playing (to go from 10 to 11 takes 49 exp, or a minimum of 9 days). the only real way to go up at this point is through pupils, and you have to sort of cheat to get a lot. level table here. taks

yeah, you don't get experience unless you start the fight. of course, you don't get picked on by others unless you're known to lose a lot, and apparently JIXX fits that bill. occasionally my brute will have a string of challenges, though the history is typically in my favor at least 4-3. JIXX has weak stats, no skillz, only 1 pet, and only 2 weapons. that would explain the 7 losses in a row JIXX has from recent challengers. i'm gonna beat up on her tomorrow! digging around i found out that my hammer-looking thing is actually considered an axe. it managed to take poor korqeldroma down in one whack recently. taks

looks like you should play JIXX more often! one of the FAQs i was reading (by ronga) talks about always picking fights you should be able to win. there are certain brutes at every level that tend to lose more often than not. also, you only get 2 experience if you beat someone 2 levels below you or above. e.g., a level 10 guy only gets 1 experience for beating a level 7 guy, but 2 for beating a level 8 guy. the ranking above you does not make any difference. also, "rankings" are based on how high you place in a tournament, nothing more. if you make it to a final, you get ranked "brutal legend." taks
