Forward Unto Dawn impressed me because it did not look like it cost less than 10 million to make. I look at what they did on that budget and wonder why big blockbusters need 200 million.

I loved the Lego Movie. The ending really sealed it because I was both the kid and the adult.

What's on the idiot box... Part 2
Cue Seth Rogen casting himself as the Saint of Killers. He could cast himself as Cassidy's serial killer friend or one of the coke snorting casino angels and I would be ok with that, but yeah...

Why no new DnD video games? (no MMO)
I think the settings should be separate from the ruleset for licensing. Like if they license Dungeons and Dragons, the game can include D&D in the title, but someone else can license Forgotten Realms, or Dark Sun and use the setting name in the title. Or someone could do a FR game with an original rule set if they like.

What's on the idiot box... Part 2
"Tulip O'Hare, Jesse's beer guzzling vampire ex-girlfriend..." And this show is a non-starter. You can't combine Tulip and Cassidy, not when their interactions are so important to the story. Artistic license? Someone like me who doesn't know the original story wouldn't know any different so it could still be excellent Its like adapting Spider-Man and merging Mary Jane and Harry Osbourne into a single character.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Not just games. Copyright terms across the board are far too long. I think I read somewhere that the term used to be 30 years, with the option for the original creator (not the current rights holder)to extend it for another 30 year term. I think that's fair.

Middle age parent digging your kids cartoons? Here's a thread for you!
I hear mixed reports about there being a partially finished extra season of Clone Wars that isn't being aired because Disney doesn't want there to be any confusion with ep VII

New Kickstarter incoming
The biggest problem I had with Universe is it ignored established rules to create tension. Since when do gates have a range? In SG1 and Atlantis, any gate in a galaxy could reach any other gate in the same galaxy, yet for some reason, these gates, which were newer and had remotes could only reach 1 or 2 other gates, and the Destiny could somehow only gate within the solar system it was in.

Middle age parent digging your kids cartoons? Here's a thread for you!
that's where my kids are. I have one 5 and one 2, 2 yr olds obsession is Mickey though. Luckily we can access US netflix so his only Mickey fix isn't Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I've found some of the older stuff on DVD at Christmas for them. They really liked the Donald/Huey, Louie & Dewey stuff; but not Duck Tales all that much. Perhaps later. Amazon had Ducktales, Tale Spin, and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers for 6 bucks a season around Boxing Day, so I snagged all of them. Gummi Bears is their favorite though.

La neuvième art (comics you've been reading)
For any UK readers here, Marvel is doing a mini called Revolutionary War featuring the old Marvel UK characters from the 90s. Deaths Head, Dark Angel, Captain Britain, Knights of Pendragon, etc.

What's on the idiot box... Part 2
So CM Punk quit WWE over Batista coming back from a 4 year absense to getting to headline Wrestlemania. 3 top guys in the company in terms of popularity are probably in order: Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and CM Punk. Bryan got shafted at Royal Rumble, and despite being the most popular superstar since Steve Austin, he's reportedly getting a midcard match with Sheamus at Wrestlemania for the 3rd year in a row or some crap. Punk is pissed that the roster is full of guys who work their asses off for a chance at WM, but they all get bumped for part-timers who don't have to put the work in, but get paid more than the rest of the roster, and guys like Bryan ddon't get the opportunities their popularity warrants because the higher ups feel they're too small.

I just found that one particular DC animated flick to be unwatchably bad, so seeing it get recommended is like seeing someone recommend Gigli. I used to be cooler headed but I'm a bit of a personality sponge and I've soaked up a lot of my co-worker over the years and he's a big ball of flaming rage. that's where my kids are. I find it the other way around. Stuff I really enjoyed while watching alone, I will try to show to people and suddenly I see all the flaws.

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/movienewsandreviews/news/?a=93554 WB wants Guy Ritchie to do a 6 film King Arthur series. If even one of them is as good as Excalibur I will be happy.

User Interfaces and Al Qaeda - a solution
My experience is little bit dated, but don't suppose to designate the cell type :/ I had to change it to text. I didn't have much experience with it. Google just said if its designated as a number cell it removes leading or trailing zeroes, when I looked into why it would automatically alter what you enter by design, there were no answers.
