How good are the later Assassins Creed games in relation to AC2? I got bored rather quickly with AC, but I haven't enjoyed a game as much as AC2 in a long time, and I'm hoping there isn't a huge drop in quality. Though I hear 3 is not so good.

For the love of God back this on Kickstarter.

More like carbonated mineral water for me. Sodastream? -
So let me get this straight. You bought a game on the steam sale and then started playing them on the xbox? I had the first one for xbox, got it years ago, and bought 2, brotherhood, revelations, and 3 on Steam because they were like $5 each.

Bought a bunch of Assassins Creed games during the steam sale so I booted up my xbox copy of the first one to play through it. Yipes it gets repetitive quickly. Killed my 4 th target and getting bored. So I booted up AssCreed 2. Soooooo much better.

Excellent read on more progressive games

Women in my experience are more about the emotional abuse than the physical. Why hit when you can ruin them socially? -
I think they have a place. Sidequests with a sense of urgency. If someone runs up to you in desperate need for you to help and you agree then walk off to another city, you should fail that quest. People aren't just going to sit in an alleyway being mugged for 3 days while you finish an errand.

I was wondering, what with Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity looking to release before it, yet it entered development before either of them. I wasn't really worried, it will be done when it's done and I have too many games to play anyway.

Yeah, sometimes happens when trying to post on mobile. Trying to paste stuff is a nightmare too, always pastes at the top of the edit box instead of where the cursor is.

I couldn't finish reading it. Douche is the word that comes to mind. -
I lost interest in the game as soon as I saw the movie characters. I've been trying to get through the Autobot campaign in War For Cybertron so I can move on to Fall of Cybertron, but its so damned hard. Running out of ammo wouldn't be so frustrating if Melee combat wasn't so awful. I died horribly in the first battle and haven't been able to bring myself to get back into it, and I really enjoyed Dead Man's Switch.

This is another reason I don't want to move. Trying to get your deposit back is like pulling teeth. But of course buying a place is pretty much out of reach unless you've got two incomes here, so I'm stuck renting. Also, lazy. Reports here say to buy a house you need a combined household income of $120,000 annually. So we would need 4 incomes. http://www.crackshackormansion.com/

I got to the point where they started giving out identity supplements and at that point its more work than fun. It takes me so long to go over all the paperwork that I average getting 6-8 people through, and I need to get 11 through just to break even on rent, heat, and food. Terrorist days we go cold. it was only $4, but with the price of games, I expect to get more than an hour of playtime out of my $4, and I didn't with Papers Please, so I regret purchasing.

Sims 2 has been my favorite so far. Open For Business and a couple simple object mods let my character open a comic book store, and all the supernatural sims in each expansion let me build a pretty sweet Munsters-esque family.

I grabbed AssCreed 2, 3, Brotherhood, Revelations, Mount and Blade Warband, Wolf Among Us, Walking Dead Season 2, Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion, Papers Please, and The Bureau. So far I regret Papers Please and Sins of a Solar Empire., but that's only like 11 bucks worth of my purchases though. That 11 could have gone to Banished or Saints Row IV though.

No idea how they're going to do a sequel, but I'll see it regardless

AC3? My condolences. got it for the DLC. I'm an Alternate History buff.

Last time I moved made me so angry. Spent 3 days cleaning the old place only for them to charge us $120 for cleaning because we didn't properly wipe down our smoke detectors, and dust our thermostats and washer/dryer hookups.

Did it actually air or is it the one that was leaked online? Saw the newspaper, fueled speculation that the billionaire high tech vigilante that is going to be in season 3 of Arrow will be batman rather than Blue Beetle as was initially assumed. Personally I'd rather Blue Beetle.

Booted up Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning again last night. Its still a fun game. Reminds me of a single player World of Warcraft with fun combat. The menu system is awful though.

Grabbed Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood, and 3. 25 bucks with all the DLC, will be nice for when I get my Steam Machine too.

Robocop (2014): I enjoyed it a lot. The way ot ended name dropping OCP and giving him the silver outfit back makes me sad it bombed. It felt to me like Robocop if it were made today. Hit all the right notes without feeling like they were trying to remake a classic. Worth seeing in my opinion.

I thought it was Franz Joseph, Emperor of Austria/King of Hungary who annexed Bosnia-Herzegovina, not his nephew Archduke Franz Ferdinand. IIRC Franz Ferdinand actually disagreed with Franz Joseph on the treatment of Serbia (although I believe to what degree was always unclear) and some have speculated his stated desire for more autonomous rule for distinct ethnic groups in the empire (I recall Czechs and South Slavs were mentioned) might have been sign that had Franz Ferdinand lived and taken the throne from Franz Joseph (already 84 and only to live two more years) that a reunited Serbia might have been achievable via diplomacy (not sure I buy it, but it's certain an opinion I've seen espoused more than once). All this to say, I think Valiant Hearts is using WWI as a backdrop for the story as opposed to really be about fighting WWI. Franz Ferdinand is often credited with the United States of Greater Austria idea, setting up a decentralized federation of ethnic states with the Archduke as the head of state, but I believe he was more in favor of a Triple Monarchy, splitting the south slavic areas from Hungary and establishing them as a separate monarchy under the Austrian crown in the same way Hungary was separate

World War 1 was a global set of dominos. Austria-Hungary wanted serbia, serbia gave them an excuse to invade, russia declared war on austria, Germany declared war on Russia because of their defense pact with Austria, Britain declared war on Germany because of defense pact with russia. France declared war on Germany because they were beat in the Franco-Prussian war and wanted revenge. Germany was blamed for Austria/Serbia's mess which led to WW2. Pointless war.

When I heard that I thought that they were blowing it out of proportion. I'm pretty sure they can get investors on board, and they will get more support if they change their subscription plan. But if Nintendo has managed to make terrible decisions and stay afloat so can Crytek too; although that's mostly due to competition being dead. While Nintendo has certainly made some bad decisions, they've also hit some massive home runs. Past runaway successes, like the DS, have given Nintendo quite a healthy cash reserve to fall back upon during hard times. I don't know if Crytek has ever had that type of crazy money making success, or if they'd been smart enough to sock some money away for a rainy day. Quite frankly CryTek seems to be one of those companies that you don't hear a lot from, they just seem to disappear for a while.Still, I doubt that one blunder(Ryse) is enough to make them go under. Plus they still have a few major contracts (Ubisoft for example) they don't make enough games that would justify a massive expenditure. Its quite possible that they are able to break even. Did Ryse suck? It was literally the only next gen launch title that looked remotely interesting, so I'm surprised it bombed.
