  1. Changed my password here and on every other site. I actually had to write down the passwords on a piece of paper to remember them all. No to put this piece of paper in my secret vault.
  2. Or make the transition into combat music more smooth. Not many games do this right.
  3. Been playing Baldur's Gate II all day today, and I get what Justin means about the looping music. I do really like the BGII music, no doubt about it. And I even listen to the soundtrack every now and then, but in the game, when you spend lots of time in quest hubs, I just shut it out of my mind after a few minutes.
  4. Applied to a couple of universities, now the wait begins. The funny thing is that I might have changed my mind by the time I get an answer. I'm not confident that my grades are good enough to get approved, but I'm not even 100% sure I'm going through with this even if I am. This is more of a backup plan.
  5. I agree there's a splash of Arcanum in there combined with a fair amount of TES inspiration. It was a good pece but mayebe not the most memorable one. One other hand not every track can be. I hope to not hear many bombastic tracks in Eternity. This is a step in the direction I like. Btw, will there be vocal tracks? Not just choirs, I'm thinking of hymns and such. Would be awesome in a mastic or spooky place. Keep up the good work.
  6. Picked up where a left off in Yakuza 4. I don't even remember how long ago it was I played the game. Didn't have any problem putting down the first boss after my comeback. However, I'm now controlling a new character that is much slower. One particular boss fight made me sream like a madman. People ran to the livingroom to see if something was wrong, haven't happened in years. The game has awoken my passion for games once more.
  7. New World or Sin-se-gae (Korean title). Another Korean movie that doesn't disappoint. At first, I was thinking this was Infernal Affairs copycat but it had its own interesting twists. Mostly watched this because I recognized Min Sik Choi's name and I liked some of the movies he's been in.
  8. Remember that Bound by Flame is a budget game just like Mars: War Logs was. I enjoyed Mars for what it was and I didn't regret my purchase knowing what kind of game I had bought. I will get BbF when it hits a lower price and I will most probably by all the others mentioned in some of the previous posts. I can still see why a lot of people are getting tired of action rpgs. It's no different than people complaining about fps games.
  9. I need this game to come out, play it twice with a combined playtime of 120 hours and then complain about it on the internet.
  10. Beat Dragonfall. Went back and made all the choices you could make at a certain place close to the end. An improvement over Dead Man's Switch in every way. I wonder what they will come up with next.
  11. Went to a party yesterday. It's not often I have to wear my suit. Didn't get much sleep today. Feel like a stranded whale right now. Lucky thing is that I'm not working this week.
  12. Some frustrating platforming moments and a couple of difficult boss battles, but I do agree that this game was great.
  13. Especially with a friend that does not rush.
  14. I felt Mass Effect art direction got poorer with each game. On the other hand, I feel like this game is an improvement over Dragon Age 2 in the art department.
  15. I completed Bioshock Infinite today. All in all, it took me three sittings. While I did enjoy it, I felt there wasn't a very good variety of enemies. Visual design and audio were top notch. I thought the story was okay, the few times when Irrational decided to tell one. I guess what kept me going were the nice looking environments and seeing what would happen at the end. One of few FPS games I have completed, so I can't compare the overall package with many other games in the genre.
  16. Nearing the end of Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall. I didn't have much to complain about until a mission late in the game. I was leaving the subway station and as soon as I entered the new area, combat was initiated and the enemy had free shots at me. Before I could even do anything, I was hit with nothing but critical hits and my health was in the red zone. That makes no sense to me why a game would do that, even if it is meant as an ambush. I did get through it thanks to med kits, but it was a bit ridicilous because my shaman wasn't with me (story related) at the time. This surprises me a bit, since I think the combat encounters have been decent in this game.
  17. When mothers are concerned, feeling like crap and being afraid when they are not well is expected. My mother had heart surgery ten years ago. Procedure took six or seven hours. My nerves were totally wrecked for the entire week before the operation and it stayed that way until one week after it was successful.
  18. I think having second chances in Pillars of Eternity for death spells is a good move. Why? Because as I understand it, there are no resurrection spells or items in the universe (yet). In the IE games, if you got hit by an instant death spell, it was always possible to resurrect fallen heroes. I'm not sure second chances should be applied for every status ailment. Maybe some ailments go away after a set amount of time? I don't mind if they are permanent as long as the player gets some means of cure, either using spells or items. Something like The Flesh to Stone status should be permanent until the player manually (or an AI controlled party member) cures that status with a spell or item.
  19. Another day home from work and not only does my throat hurt, I can add fever to the list. Was shaking all night. Still decided to do work related stuff. Reading a book titled (brace yourselves) Lost at School - Why Our Kids with Behavioral Challenges Are Falling Through the Cracks and How We can Help them. It's a really interesting book with a very sound perspective on how to help children solve their problems.
  20. More Bioshock Infinite. I'm enjoying it and I think I don't have many more hours to play before I reach the end. Combat is mostly fun (playing on easy like always), and the Vigor powers are entertaining. Story is decent, better than many other FPS games. Visuals and audio are top notch. Game must have cost a fortune, probably why Irrational met their sad fate.
  21. Maybe they could afford to put a few more people on the project? Who knows? Or maybe that money means they can work on the game a bit longer? Giving them a longer "final touches" period?
  22. I'm home from work because of a sore throat. Can't even drink water without feeling pain. I blame the two posters above.
  23. Sure. One could also ignore to pick up "worthless" items, just like I did in the IE games or both Nwn/NWN2. If there was a limited stash, it would still not lessen my overall enjoyment of the game.
  24. A few years ago, I might have said that this bothered me. Now, it suits me fine. I have limited gaming time compared to a few years ago. If I can save some time travelling to and from locations to pick up loot I can't carry with me, in one go, all the better. I guess our views on things like this is something inevitably change as you get less time to play.
