I learned how a big explosion sounds, and how it smells. Oh God, the smell. A truck exploded close to the area I live in. Smoke everywhere, and I very much doubt the smoke was healthy. It also blocked traffic to and from our area, since it's the only road in and out for vehicles. I almost crapped my pants, but luckily I was already in the toilet. Oh, and no one was hurt. Not far from that explosion, there was a car accident, with 6 people in the cars. Also no serious injuries. I've lived here for 25 years, and this was the first time things were this chaotic.

Finished The Gunslinger a few days ago. Not amazing, but good enough to make me interested in book two. At some times in the book it starts to drag a little bit, but I'm used to King's writing.

Still playing NWN 2 with a little Divinity 2: DKS on the side. Despite some issues, I'm enjoying NWN 2 more than I did the last time I played. Never played the expansions, so when the OC is done, I'll move on to MotB and then SoZ.

Started following a bunch of people and studios on Twitter when I saw the Pandemic twitter account. Saw that the last tweet was made ~750 days ago. Then I remember Pandemic are no more, made me a bit sad.

Have you bought a walking stick yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8FDGxiEmK0

Diablo III. I played with this guy who has a Barbarian, and that Barbarian saved my behind several times. I went into the AH after we were done playing and found weapons that upped my DMG by 1100 points. Had to pay 150k for both weapons, but it doesn't matter as long as you sell stuff yourself. First time I spent that much money, because I usually don't wait for the gold to pile up.

Horrible Bosses. It had some funny moments.

I tried to play Divine Divinity, but I can't get the game to work properly. It works fine for a few minutes, then everything slows down, and it starts to stutter like hell. I'll get back to it someday, but I'll focus on NWN2 and Planescape for now.

The whole thing is partly the fans fault, imo. Focus on graphics and cutscenes by demand that carried over from the PS1 era. It's still happening if you just look at the reactions to the Agni's Philosphy tech demo. I'm hopeful (due to XIII-2) that they learned their lesson though but you never know. I don't blame the fans. They've shown incompetence on more than one project. Look at the mess that was FFXIV. Besides, FFXIII was announced before they had something to show other than CG. There was no actual game. What's your point here exactly? Also, yes. Square Enix does what market (fans) demands and from PS1 to PS2 that was graphics to cutscenes. Which was the complete wrong decision for the PS3 era. The whole thing was a time and moneysink as in the post-mortem resulting in the designers and writers beeing constraint by it with no way to change or adjust stuff. I agree in general of course, that there were several incompetent and dumb decisions made (XIV being the prime example as you said). Funny though since its basically just a repeat of XI just on a much larger scale (from what I hear at least). As in: First version terrible, apology, then gradually improved. "What's yor point here exactly?" What I mean is that they had the CG movie prepared for E3 2006, right? But there was no actual game. FFXIII was first intended to be a PS2 game, but with the development hell FFXII was in (do we see a pattern?) and the delays it got, FFXIII was pushed to PS3. There are images FFXIII for PS2 and it looked very different from the actual game they releasef. Versus XIII is still not released. It was announced six years ago. It doesn't seem like we'll get it this year either. Type-0 was also in development for way too many years (I did like what little I played). And FFXIV was a mess. That's 5 games in the FF series that had and still have trouble in the development. 5 games considered to be mainline titles for the series. Then we have the Dragon Quest X MMO deal... It's surprising to see such incompetence, because they seem to make good decisions like buying Eidios, but they can't take care of their own series anymore. It's sad to see, because Square alongside Obsidian are my favorite gaming companies. (Bioware was also one of them, but after DA2 and ME3...)

I never owned a DS, but I have lots of DS games I'm playing on the 3DS. I only own one actual 3DS game and it's a port. I can understand the disappointment regarding the lack of a 2nd stick*, but it doesn't bother me. No AC adapter is crazy. Had Sony done this with PSVita, the press would be raging. i only play RPG's or 2D platformers. All the games I'm looking forward to don't need it. (Fire Emblem, Bravely Default, Castlevania and Paper Mario)

I've read that post mortem too. It was mind blowing to read through. I still can't believe a proffesional company works like that. They had to cut a lot of stuff because a lot of it didn't fit the game. Anyway, 3DS XL announced. I'd trade in my old 3DS for the XL, but no AC adapter is included. Lol?

Dead State reached $150K today. I am pleased.

The game is fun to play, and finding better gear is great. My problem is the auction house. It diminishes the enjoyment of collecting great items when you know you can visit the auction house to get stuff. I've bought stuff on the AH, but I'd rather have them picked them up from monsters. Problem is that I get crappy stuff most of the time. I think I've spent 100h on the Euro+Americas servers and gotten only one epic drop. The actual fighting is good, I just need to feel that I am getting the proper reward.

I'll probably get FFXIII-2 someday. There are too many interesting games atm, so I'll probably get it in a year or two. (Not buying a new console in the next 3 years, whatever comes out on them.)

Except they weren't? Well, he worked on the scenario and probably wrote the original story and setting (the second being pretty good imo), but the Lead Writer for both games has been the same guy that wrote X, X-2 and XII. Daisuke Watanabe. XIII-2 was pretty good imo, too. And while 3rd Birthday was terrible I still really liked Bahamut Lagoon. Edit: Also Versus is written by the same guy that wrote Advent Children and FFVIII. Personally, ranks lower by me. The thing about FFXIII is that I actually thought the story could have been very interesting, Toriyama or not. They just waste it all by having most important bits in a codex. Other games have codexes, but they are there to flesh out story and lore. In FFXIII, they have all the important bits in the codex. I was lost before reading the entries you unlocked. I can't comment on Versus yet, but if it lets me explore and not just run through (beautiful) corridors, I'll be happy. I don't care if they do it like FFXII or like the old FF games with a world map. All FF games are linear, but FFXIII took it to a new level in the first half of the game.

Give me Type-0 and Versus XIII, please. I don't care about Lightning & Co. Edit: Or rather. I no longer want a game that is written by Motomu Toriyama.

Didn't F. U. Talk about a web browser game once? I'm almost cerain he said he was interested in a game like that. -
I'm playing it on PS3 since it was free for PS+ members.

Started reading The Dark Tower books by Stephen King. I have no clue if they are good or not. I have book 1 & 2, so I'm about to find out.

Completed Rayman Origins in 4 player co-op. What an amazing game it was. It's up there with my favorite 2D platformers of all time. If you like 2D platformers, this is a must buy. Continuing with Neverwiner Nights 2. Reached the city of Neverwinter. Going to explore the town next time I play. I'm also playing Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Not played much yet, but I'm liking what I have played so far.

Ran 4km today. Felt like I could run another 4, but that might not have been wise. I'm trying to make running everyday a habit. I tried lifting weights, but an injury to my left shoulder basically prevents me from ever doing it properly. I haven't lost many kilos these last couple of months, but I do feel much healthier. Had someone told me at the start of the year that I would be able to run 4kn, I would have laughed them in the face.

Couldn't have been easy.

Playing neverwinter Nights 2, Playing a dual wielding ranger, but I don't know wich classes I should choose next. I'll keep levelinng him up as a ranger for now and maybe try the duelist job later on. Exploration in this game is breaking my balls. I have no problem in combat, but characters still move too slowly while exploring. Can't wait to get haste items.
