  1. I see, thanks for sharing that. Knowing that, will the type of armour worn by the monk have any sort of effect on passive monk abilities? Wearing armour means filling your wounds pool slower if I understand correctly, but does it have any other negative effects? Can they wear medium or heavy armour and shields without any negative effects?
  2. I like the sound of the monk class. I don't know why people complain about it. If you don't like monks, don't play one. It can't be any simpler. The wound mechanic sounds interesting to me. If not played right, I guess one could die very easily. I was going to use this class for my first playthrough, no matter what, but I actually like what has been described so far. It seems that you will have to weigh the pros and cons of not using armor or weapons in some encounters vs using them in others. I bet a monk could be great vs an unprotected mage or vs archers. Do the monks have any passive skills they gain like they do in D&D? like speed bonus or better spell resistance?
  3. You get a battle tower later in the game. You'll get a personal skill trainer, alchemist, workshop and necromancer (that upgrades your demon). They have all have a quest or two for you wich allows you to upgrade their platforms. You will get personal runners that you can send out, they'll search for gems and herbs for you. Improve their armour and weapons to increase their survivability in the wild. You can also send items in your inventory to a stash in the battle tower, so you don't have to go there just to drop off items.
  4. It isn't really amazing in any particular area, but I had enough fun with the game to move on to the expansion. Expect some jokes, fun exploration and a non-class growth system. I personally enjoy the fact that I can develop my character the way I want. Some areas (very few) have some platforming, sometimes you play as a dragon that was a decent change. I don't know if you'd like it or not, if you don't mind lots of jokes, give it a go. I certainly enjoyed it more than Skyrim.
  5. Completed the main campaign of Divinity 2: DKS. The boss arena at the end was crazy. Luckily, I did find some random sword that greatly improved my melee damage. Playing the expansion now. I had an exp debot of almost 300.000. Had to laugh at that.
  6. I though kickstarter didn't allow competitions like that for ongoing projects?
  7. Reached Aleroth in Divinity 2. I couldn't find any more side quests and my log book only has one quest for me to do, so I guess I'm close to finishing the game. I want to play the expansion already.
  8. NWN2: Storm of Zehir Finally exploring the world map without having to care about being spotted. Trying to fight spiders to get my bounty items so I can finish that task from Kwesi. Also continued to play Fire Emblem Awakening.
  9. I told myself I wouldn't start playing Fire Emblem Awakening until I completed another game. I couldn't stick to that. I'll just try it for a little bit, I thought to myself. Ended up playing for 4 hours. I have no self control, and in this case, I'm loving it.
  10. If it plays like Game Dev Story, I might actually buy it at some point.
  11. With the regular updates and posts by devs, I don't feel like there is a reason for me have any kind of withdrawal. I've also followed games like Torment and Original Sin. It was great to be a part of the whole thing, but that was the funding period. I'm actually more excited when we get the weekly/bi-weekly updates.
  12. It was great to see them lose like that and I don't even hate them.
  13. If I had a to guess, sleep related might be possible. I always sleep on my left side. I've thought about a pinched nerve, but it doesn't feel like that kind of pain. Ghosts? I tell the kids at work that we have a ghost in our school. I sometimes do pranks, the results are hilarious. Oh, when I lose something, I can blame him. Poor ghost, I've blamed him for a lot of things.
  14. What do you mean 'trouble with'? Sounds a bit alarming. It's not related to my heart, thankfully. I've made sure. The problem is that I've visited more than 5 doctors and none of them seem to know what the problem is other that everything that has to do with my heart looks fine. They haven't even had the common sense to do an x-ray. I haven't seen one (doctor) for a while now. Went to a rehab center a few weeks ago and they checked me out. They gave me some pointers on different exercises I should do. So I'm doing those rehab exercises plus starting to work out despite the pain. It actually felt good being out today. I have missed running. A few years ago, I hated it, thought it was the most boring thing to do. Now it just feels so damn good, especially now that I'm more used to it. I'm thinking that if I keep up with my running, and then start going to the gym more often, the pain will go away. The problem is that I'm at the stage where I think going to the gym is boring. I'll make sure to get over this phase. The good thing is that I work at a school and the kids usually want me to play soccer with them on their breaks, so that might help too. Plus, I've played a few soccer games with friends, so that might even more. Basically, being more active is what I personally believe will help me, but we'll see. I've had these problems for about 2 years now. Some periods, I feel the pain non-stop, but other times, it comes and goes.
  15. Well, I played enough video games so I went out on an eight kilometer run/walk. I mostly walked but decided to run some parts. I've been having trouble with my left shoulder and the upper side of my left chest, so I haven't been doing a lot of working out lately. It went fairly well today. I did feel some pain, but i decided that I should keep going and it feels alright now. Might repeat this after work tomorrow.
  16. Divinity 2. I have completed three subquests out of four to gain access to The Hall of Echoes. Before I do the last quest that grants me entrance, I'll finish up everything else. Not much left now, then I can move on to the expansion.
  17. Playing video games. Today is Labour Day over here.
  18. They should make their own post-ap. game called Outfall.
  19. I'm okay with food/water and resting management if I only have one character to worry about. I liked Hardcore mode in New Vegas. When you have to worry about such things for more than one character, it is no longer fun. The micromanagement that I enjoy becomes too much even for me.
  20. This is how I want to feel when I loot enemies and open chests:
  21. V:BL - The Masquerade has better facial animation than a lot of games from this era.
  22. NWN2: Storm of Zehir. Playing this in short bursts so it feels like I don't get much done. Today, I managed to complete 3 or 4 quests, so that felt good. I'd like to see a wrpg do a world map in this style with a bigger world and more detail to it. It could be fun to explore, making use of your abilities like you do here, like finding ruins, avoiding enemies, etc.
  23. Final Fantasy Tactics had the same core leaders in the team that worked on Final Fantasy XII. Tactics is a great game, probably better than most games in the main series. It has the best story, even if you should expect JRPG craziness here and there, but the political plot and all the twists are great, imo. It doesn't play like any of the other FF games, you know, it being an SRPG and all. The job system is really fun, although it is broken when you reach the end game. There is an optional dungeon at the end that will provide a nice challenge.
  24. That's not how you type 16.
  25. Today I looked through all my physical games. I'm looking for a small apartment, so I need to get rid of stuff I would have kept if I had the room for it but won't have anymore. It's a mixed feeling. In one way, it will feel good to offload some stuff, because I like to know where all my things are. Having them locked up somewhere isn't what I want. I like to have them on a shelf and easily have access to them if I ever feel the urge to play them. The oldest generation I have physical games for now is the PlayStation era consoles, and it's only two games: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX. I don't have many PS2 games left either, maybe 30 or so. Basically keeping the essentials. I'm keeping more PS2 games than I will for the other systems thanks to the PS2 emulation on PCs. It's great to be able to play them without having to plug in your console. My PS3/360 games are also slowly being sold off. From now on, keeping games from older console generations will be very unlikely for me, with no backwards compatibility and all. On PC, I only have a handful of physical games left. I've re-bought most of the games. It's not a big issue when a lot of them have been on sale for $2.50 on digital stores.
