  1. Rawr!
  2. Pretty cool. Why did you give it anime elf ears, though? Did you hate it that much?
  3. But can you have sex with a hot half-plant chick in Divinity 2?
  4. What does that do again? It makes far away stuff look sharp:
  5. You may have benn less forgetful than me this time, but our battle shall continue! I was out of country for two weeks, you had all the chances in the world.
  6. No hate, I just like pretty things. And speaking of filters, anisotropic filtering is pretty cool too.
  7. It is quite the resource hog, but it makes stuff soo much prettier:
  8. Divinity 2 looks pretty nice, but why doesn't anyone use anti-aliasing? The jaggies! They burn my eyes!
  9. You crazy Swedes and your rotten herrings...
  10. Red Faction: Guerrilla is out. It's pretty funny, but I expected him to enjoy destroying stuff more...
  11. I always saw the title as more of a jab at the current state of WRPGs...
  12. That cat was awesome
  13. My biggest gripe with the 4th edition is that monsters and characters play by different rules, it doesn't feel like a system anymore. As flawed as 3.5 was, at least it felt like everything worked by the same mechanics.
  14. I'm sure it'll be horrible. They should just steal the story from Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne. Anything that isn't about humans is going to be a niche nerd-fest.
  15. Most important question: is there a cat in it? Secondly, is it anything like the first game? In terms of combat, messing around with items, dropping little pyramids etc...
  16. While the LAN experience is certainly different from playing online, I feel that it was a necessity at the time. You had to choose between slow, laggy and unreliable online or snappy awesome LAN, the choice was clear. Nowadays I feel that it's more of a nostalgia thing, like people who like to read dead tree newspapers instead of online news etc. I'm not saying LAN isn't viable, but broadband has made it obsolete, it's pretty much a niche thing these days. It's hard enough to get people together online, getting them together in real life is pain.
  17. Never heard of that before, sounds crazy. How can they stop you from using a router/switch? Anyway, who carries their computer around anyway? Just play from the comfort of your own house with voice chat?
  18. The unaired thriteenth episode has leaked It has Felicia Day as a guest star...
  19. This. People need to whine about more important stuff. See, this attitude pisses me off. You spent most of your time with the campaign. That was the draw for you. That's fine. But because I spent most of my time playing 8 player LAN matches with friends, my opinion and wants are somehow less important than yours? Who said it was less important? I was just agreeing with Morgoth... The only difference is that everyone needs a copy of the game and your network will have to be connected to the internet. The everyone-must-have-a-copy thing has been around for a while now.
  20. This. People need to whine about more important stuff.
  21. Have you patched the game up? That might help, also it's just the DnD system. If you make a crappy character, it will be hard...
  22. If you reinforced the blade and made it a bit handier, you could cut someone up pretty bad. Not that it's an effective weapon.
  23. Try EVE, it's pretty tyte...
  24. Scythes just don't pass the laugh test to me, so I avoid them. The idea of a scythe as a workable melee weapon on par with weapons that were actually designed to be such is ludicrous enough to me-- that the scythes in this particular imaginary world are in fact demonstrably superior as a melee weapon makes me wonder whether the people who wrote the system know what a scythe actually is. Come on, man! You're cutting down dudes with a giant MAGICAL scythe, how cool is that? DnD features all kinds of weird stuff like spiked chains and sickles and whatnot, at least a scythe is cool. Also, it's a fantasy game, who doesn't want to cut stuff up with a scythe? Swords are for losers!
  25. Me? I usually go through a game once and that's it. The only games that I have replayed in the last ~5 years are HL2, the episodes and Portal. And that's mostly because of the commentary mode. I'm a go-through-a-game-once guy, it's all about the experience.
