  1. I pretty much dug that out of the game files the first time I heard it. More games need awesome custom tracks. Come on, you know you want to... The whole Homeworld soundtrack is amazing, but the theme really brings back some memories. Also, Yes made a for it. Both NOLFs had pretty nice spy-y intros as well:
  2. I fear we lost his soul forever Brother Purkake. The High Father will not be pleased. Fear not, for the tropes live on. PS. "Sure" means "Die!" in Estonian...
  3. I'll just file that under "really weird" then.
  4. As I said before I do hand to hand transactions here in Estonia, but I don't really buy second hand stuff all that often.
  5. I find you lack of links disappointing. Is it ?
  6. was surprisingly epic. The Hitman series always had pretty unique theme music with all the classic choir stuff: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Hitman: Blood Money @Oner, good job digging that old Yahtzee DX theme out
  7. Max Payne 2's theme was also pretty good. Also Braid's theme, which reminded me of the beginning area in Drakensang,
  8. Now that I've derailed two other threads with talk about game themes, I decided to make a separate thread for it. So post your favorite game themes or other musical pieces. The only rule is that you must provide a link to it, preferably a youtube link. So I'll start with the .
  9. Can I be Johnny Knoxville? He's way cooler.
  10. Never! It's a FPRPG like System Shock 2. It's a FPRPG like System Shock 2. It's a FPRPG like System Shock 2.
  11. It's great that you have your own categories. Stop using them like the absolute truth when everyone else disagrees and maybe slip a nice "IMO" in there somewhere
  12. There's a ton of "RPGs" which have no speech skills or even choices, starting with the dreaded JRPGs and going all the way to the action RPG Diablo-clones. There are quests and even side-quests in DX. Just because you define RPGs by a very narrow and weird criteria, doesn't mean that everyone else does. For example compare STALKER with Deus Ex. STALKER clearly falls on the Shooter with RPG elements side of the fence, while Deus Ex cleverly sits in the middle. You can imagine System Shock 2 being a bit more on the RPG side for a full fence experience.
  13. You are weak! You have abandoned your heritage for a cheap plastic hussy.
  14. No it's not.
  15. Yeah but those are typical characteristics of a (good) shooter. RPG means you got the C&C stuff while talking to someone. DX didn't have that. How many recent shooters do that? The only ones I can think of are the "open world" shooters like Crysis and Far Cry 2 and they come with their own set of problems.
  16. It was on the Dreamcast... That is all.
  17. I'm sure I'd be able to enjoy them for a while after I had lobotomy. I know, it's my fault, I usually get tired of stuff quickly and always go for new stuff like a magpie going for the next shiny thing.
  18. It always get to the annoying part when the menu screen comes up. There are much better (and more subtle theme songs) like the one from Planescape or MotB. EDIT: And the BG&E one, it's . Don't get me wrong, most of DX's soundtrack is awesome, but the theme irks me(and BG2 one makes me want to find that sound and delete it)
  19. I really liked the multiple-approach thing they did. There were almost always at least three different ways to get to the objective(usually guns ablaze/stealthy vent/gross sewer).
  20. I totally forgot. But so did Oner... EDIT: That was pretty good.
  21. You sure seem to want those cards badly. Can't you just print out the cards and play like all the poor kids? I hope you don't loose all your monies.
  22. Shun the non-believer, shun! Wah wha wha! Really, Deus Ex was at it's core a FPS, with some stats and an inventory on top of it. Almost like Fallout 3? *hides from flames*
  23. *Assault shotgun burst* Then I put on my robe and wizard hat.
  24. It lacks subtlety, it's like every time you start the game Warren Spector jumps out and goes "yeah bitch you like this game?" "Well then you have to listen to this tune every time you want to play it. Boom!"
