I meant the ad that he dug up from google cache. It's obviously sketchy going by what he already said, posting the ad doesn't really serve any purpose. BTW: don't you call the seller in the States? It's pretty much the norm over here and it helps to see if it's a scam or not.

What I'm saying is that the dialog options make the character your own, not the customization. Would Max Payne be any better if you could choose his skin color, sex and clothes?

You are still not yourself, you are a Gray Warden of your chosen class/race(why aren't we calling them species again?). It's just a bit more customization.

They need to steal someone else's system that isn't as tightly regulated as WotC is doing with the D20 license. Most of the systems that are custom made for a video game lack any kind of depth.

Having an online game means you get both good and bad people. That's pretty much the package, you take it or leave it.

The second in the Kovach trilogy is pretty bad and I couldn't get more than ~30 pages into the last one. Altered Carbon was pretty good, though. I haven't heard anything good about his other books either.
