So every other game is doing it wrong and RE5 is actually the sole bastion of realism in an otherwise empty wasteland of non-realistic games? It's solely a stupid holdover from the time when you didn't have the Gears of War style shooting mechanics and had to enter a different "mode" to shoot. You might like it, which is totally fine, but please don't try to defend it.

Sheesh, it's just a promo picture. Going by what I've heard from the reviews season 2 will kick major ass, especially episode 2. They have also brought in a ton of new actors including Jamie Bamber(Apollo from Battlestar), Michael Hogan(Colonel Tigh from Battlestar), Alexis Denisof(Wesley from Angel), Summer Glau(Firefly and Sarah Connor Chronicles) and of course the lovely Felicia Day who will (presumably) be in future "Epitaph" episodes.

I ignore the whole genre because it doesn't interest me, the no run & shoot is just icing on the no-play cake. Seriously, only a Japanese developer could get a free pass with a mechanic so clunky and outdated.

Yeah, too bad it was about twice as long as it should have been and the plot was pretty predictable Event Horizon ripoff. Still somewhat fun, though. @Virumor: Another game that fell apart half way through. They had the right idea, though.

If it wasn't for ZP, I'm sure the Escapist would have folded/been bought out a dozen times over by IGN and the like. I'm sure they'd want a special artsy corner for their giant IGN empire.

Mirror's Edge had a really awesome real song for it's credits. It's a bit off the bounds, but Prince of Persia had a really cool song in one of its . (full song)

It's not so much the genre but the horrible controls. No moving & shooting = no play.
