  1. I don't think it was any slicker than in Forged Alliance, the graphics are nice, but they totally overdid the weapon effects which makes everything look weird. Also they screwed up the minimap and I don't think you can do the one monitor split screen thing anymore
  2. I'm sure Blizzard will laugh all the way to the bank.
  3. You can play with any unit in the game using the debug mode: Doesn't really make the game any better, but it's fun for ~10 minutes.
  4. Whether or not the Smoke Monster is evil, Jacob is most certainly up to no good. He had to get someone to voluntarily smash the mirrors to stop someone from coming to the island. I really hope it's Desmond.
  5. We need more original games and less sequels.
  6. That's what you get for playing a Big Daddy for 10+ hours
  7. No the animations are just horrible, it was completely worthless.
  8. QWOP, the hardest flash game ever.
  9. I encourage everyone to play it, if just to make Forged Alliance look even better in comparison.
  10. Yup, it's horrible. The gameplay was pretty much CnC 4 with Supreme Commander interface, the scale just wasn't there and the resource system was totally messed up. Also, the dialogue was so bad it almost hurt, I don't remember anything that ridiculous in SupCom.
  11. Well, I heard that using open source makes you grow a neckbeard and smell so this probably isn't far off.
  12. There is no peace amongst the boards, only an eternity of flaming and baiting, and the laughter of thirsting mods.
  13. The demo is up on Steam.
  14. Googling "Escapist Dante's Inferno Box of Wrath" worked pretty well. The problem is that there was no video.
  15. It was just the first video I could find of the box. Yahtzee didn't unfortunately film himself opening it.
  16. I think it was pretty good and while he didn't rip on it too much for being an "adaption" he did say it was bad on quite a few occasions. BTW, here's the box press kit thing that he referred to.
  17. I'm not saying it wasn't fun, just a hassle after a while. Kind of like spells in NWN2, but later it was just easier to have everyone charge in.
  18. I never really saw the appeal of Biotics, guns worked just as well and you didn't have to que things up in a menu. Mostly it was just pretty graphics.
  19. The combat went from too loose to too tight. I don't really know what they were going for with ME1's combat, it was neither here or there.
  20. @Volo: Oh, I agree that ME2's combat could have been much better and that Bioware could take some hints from actual third person cover-based shooters like Uncharted 1/2 if they are going that route. What I don't agree with is that ME1's combat was better. @Will: Sure, nothing wrong with that.
