@Volo: You've just described every third person cover-based shooter's combat ever. Nothing inherently "easy" about it, ME2 just half-assed it. @Will: It is and apparently Bioware agrees. How to be a bad writer: have more homages than original work.

Star Trek...?

The whole Scottish engineer schtick has been worn out so much it's not even funny anymore.

Hmm, I guess Widow was such a bad and nonsensical name that I renamed it in my head without realizing it. Oh well.

From the Collector ship special Shepard upgrade.

Ubisoft DRM confirmed to boot you from your singleplayer game when the net drops out
Yes, make Godwin proud. I'm pretty sure Ubisoft will do enough on its own to turn anyone off their new system.

Ubisoft DRM confirmed to boot you from your singleplayer game when the net drops out
That's because the time isn't right.

I'll get BG&E2 even if it comes with an Ubisoft employee who looks over my shoulder the whole time I play it. @Krezack: Shouldn't that law apply to this DRM as well then?

I was kidding. Do MMOs state that they need a constant internet connection on the box?

Perhaps, still seems like a lot of work, though. The time for a revolution is not here yet. @Numbers: As long as some kind of "internet connection" is mentioned, I'm fine with it. Constant schmonstant.

It's more of a store thing than a country thing, my civilized northern neighbor. I'm also guessing the internet connection requirement is mentioned on the back in some capacity.

Nah, that sounds like too much work. Just not buying it seems much easier.

I was killing them just fine without the cloak. Widowmaker FTW!

Infiltrator FTW! The cloak is pretty useless, but the scope bullet time is great.

I meant they should look at seafaring warships and base them on that. Also, it makes sense to compartmentalize ships with people on them when you want to keep the air in and the space out. Oh and even if you want to maintain a more Star Trek-y feel don't just leave totally empty spaces on the ship, like the place between CIC and Mordin's lab.

You still need to compartmentalize stuff, big open rooms and structural integrity don't exactly match. All I'm saying is that Bioware should look at some warship designs for inspiration.

Leather seats are awesome, I'm talking about structural integrity, just walk around the ship, there are hardly any bulkheads and there are just empty spaces for no good reason. No wonder . Obviously Cerberus did a half-assed job and now you have to fill the gaps by your ingenious companions coming up with ideas like "what if we made the armor thicker?" or "let's add some shields"...

The ship has so much free room, I'm surprised they didn't install a jacuzzi and a walk-in wardrobe. Bioware has a few things to learn about designing spaceships meant for warfare.

Just Cause 2
There's supposed to be a demo out pretty soon so you can all try it. I'm not telling you to buy it, just making sure you're aware of its existence. I'm guessing it will be a super fun game like Red Faction: Guerrilla where the story/characters aren't really the focus.

Just Cause 2
The first one sucked so much because it was supposed to be a XBOX game, but they had to quickly port it to the 360 when it came out and the original XBOX pretty much disappeared. Looking at the videos and previews this one seems pretty decent and well-polished. Not to mention crazy-fun. EDIT: Their last game, The Hunter, which is a browser based hunting game with a modern graphics engine(somewhere around the first STALKER level), was actually pretty good from what I've heard.

A true hero I'm playing Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance to refresh my mind a little, because SupCom 2 is coming out pretty soon. It's still fun and pretty unique.

Good Old Games
TLJ's greatness comes mostly from the story, the characters, the world and especially from April. Don't worry too much about the puzzles, some are pretty clever, but most of the time they are just filler.
