  1. No, it would be still be a relic of it's time sticking out like a sore thumb.
  2. Watch out kids, DRM will also apparently destroy all your punctuation skills, it truly is the devil.
  3. I look forward to many pages of intelligent discussion and well made arguments.
  4. But the new Golden Sun DS game is coming out pretty soon. Handhelds is where it's at in terms of decent Japanese games. Putting JRPGs on a HD console just highlights all the flaws.
  5. I don't have anything against Square-Enix, I just dislike JRPGs and the general stagnation of the Japanese gaming market. Is that ok?
  6. It wouldn't be the first time publishers cooperate. Or IPs get sold. True, but the last time I remember Publishers banding together and making something decent was Chrono Trigger...
  7. They can't because Firaxis is now under 2K.
  8. That's why I proposed the hypothetical Sigma Draconis on the last page. Also, if you want people to understand you, try using less caps and more words
  9. All the Civ games are basically remakes of the previous ones, this hypothetical Alpha Centauri 2 would be the same deal.
  10. Well then make it and call it Sigma Draconis, the IP itself wasn't really all that specific or important to begin with.
  11. I hear that saying the c-word three times summons Lord of Flies...
  12. EA Partners program? I hear that EA likes money...
  13. They have the Civilization Revolution line for the consoles.
  14. How many other series get away with four remakes?
  15. I'm sorry, but I'll take Drakensang's visuals over Dragon Age's any day(and that without the stupid gore aspect).
  16. I liked the nukes, but they should really have had a larger radius, in a game with maps that huge it wouldn't have mattered all that much.
  17. He did fine and pointed out most the problems, which is more than most reviewers.
  18. Did you figure out the story? I think someone just did a detailed analysis on FFVIII's story. Found it: Analysis: What really happened in Final Fantasy VIII
  19. Well, mr insomniac managed to come up with another one...
  20. Just finished playing the game a second time last night, and perhaps I'm mistaken but that's how it looked to me. That is the common interpretation. @Virumor: Yithians are cool, but their canon appearance is pretty ridiculous.
  21. The ending will also have a stronger impact if you actually lose people along the way and don't make everything perfect. Here's a tvtrope for everyone craving their emo fix: Downer Ending(spoilerific) @Di: Umm, they actually closed the cycle at the end of Torment...
  22. Apparently the Unit Cannon is a unique experimental unit only available to the UEF. They're really going crazy with the experimentals.
  23. I can't think of a single game that only has a "everybody dies" ending. I wouldn't have anything against such an ending, however, granted that it was done in an interesting way. I'm tired of the happy, no consequences ending(not that Bioware has too many of those). And where did you end up in a coffin?
  24. Can't we have a neutral ending, where you do what you have to and don't feel bad for all the people that died in the process because they knew what they signed up for?
  25. The "everything is simulated" thing is pretty cool as well, stuff actually has to hit it's target to do damage. It was pretty funny to build a bunch of missile defenses and still get nuked to hell
