  1. I thought gaming was a hobby? Waiting for a certain game to come out is kind of a lame hobby...
  2. Just pointing out that this is neither a new phenomenon nor particularly unique to Australia.
  3. Oh boo hoo, it's the same in Europe and pretty much everywhere outside of North America. Deal with it.
  4. According to Yahtzee it's the "awesome beaches" tax.
  5. Not in the least. Get a hobby or something.
  6. Not bad, nice to see Eloise and Faraday again. I guess we're going toward a hasty unification of the timelines? I'm not really digging the whole super slow start and mad dash finish this season seems to be heading for.
  7. Here's the skinny:
  8. Usually we also provide a link to the video. Also there's an April fools thing.
  9. You could always check the trailers or the demo. Basically Total Overdose was more about the score and style, while this one is more about have an open world and making your own fun. More Red Faction: Guerrilla with more vehicles and prettier locales and less Total Overdose. The main similarity is that both are crazy and embrace it, though Just Cause 2 is slightly more grounded in reality.
  10. I'm still surprised that people would rather play on SDTVs than hook their 360 or PS3 up to their monitor which is at least 720p...
  11. Wow, that is some high praise man! You're not exactly on a charity mission. Your goal is to cause enough dissent and unrest to make the people overthrow the current anti-USA dictator and hopefully replace him with someone more pro-USA.
  12. ...or run Memtest.
  13. I have Sennheiser HD 202s for my PC and CX300s for outside. Totally happy with both.
  14. It was a real nuke, damn it! And Lost has got quite a few Emmys over the years. Not really digging this season, though.
  15. They really dragged it out, like it was going to be a huge mystery. Also, the off-island stuff keeps getting worse and worse.
  16. Guido?
  17. Going by NeoGAF's comments(again), most people did the 2 or 3 compulsory missions and then went on to do crazy stuff in the world finding tons of military jets/helicopters/tanks along the way. Also, unlike FFXIII the whole world is opened up ~20 minutes into the game.
  18. Yeah, I guess those might be less awesome than the "main" missions, but on the plus side you can always hijack a military jet and blow up some giant oil silos when you get bored
  19. Final Fantasy XIII
  20. Only played one mission, it was standard "go and kill these guys, but make sure these guys live" I saw the opening story missions which included grappling up an awesome twin tower casino and rescuing a dude from the skybridge between them while getting shot at by helicopters and defending a dude by riding on top of his old ass car and tethering military jeeps to each other/lamps posts/bridge supports or just blowing them up spectacularly. As for the Win 7 thing, I recently changed to it as well and there's no way I'm going back to XP ever.
  21. The only real complaint that some people have had is with the story, but from what I've seen the missions themselves are varied and super crazy.
  22. So the game is out and is getting glowing impressions from people who have played it(at least on NeoGAF) and solid 8s or 9s from all around. My main PC is borked for the time being, but surely someone here is playing it?
