  1. Different strokes for different folk, some people may just have an interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle that doesn't include excessive exercise. They are not training so much as just keeping active, also consistency offers good results in terms of gains and health, 3-4 times a week every and a healthy diet is more than enough to just be healthy. Buts that's my point, how does 20 minutes of cardio where you don't strain at all help you? How is that a healthy lifestyle? You may as well not go at all...or am I missing something Because even working standing up is a bonus for most people these days. You honestly don't need to be sweating to get benefit from the activity. A gentle walk for 40 minutes is still good for you. I hear you but I still question the impact around what I see at gym sometimes. A 40 minute walk is good exercise ( or is it?) but lets say you need to make serious health changes due to high cholesterol or high blood pressure and exercise is what is needed I can't see how spending 30 minutes in a gym and putting no effort in would improve the situation?
  2. Gee Trashman don't exert yourself on account of us, the last thing anyone wants is for you to do real exercise
  3. You have raised a good point. Where do we draw the line from being overly fastidious around hard-core rules and the reality where a person stops playing or enjoying the game as they try to follow these rules.
  4. You've raised some interesting idea's Some make sense to me like the aging impact but some I think would overly complicate the game for me, like not knowing what spells are what. I think most of your ideas would only be relevant to a few hard-core gamers. I'm not saying they are wrong, I'm just saying they won't be popular for the mainstream RPG audience. But good post anyway

  6. There is this huge global drive around fitness, the common message is 20 minutes 3-4 times a week of cardio is all you need. I dispute this. I see people at the gym who come and casually row or walk on the treadmill and don't break a sweat, they then leave the gym and probably think that level of exercise is enough. I fail to see how it is. By the end of my cardio workout I'm normally sweating like a dog in a Chinese restaurant. Surly you need to elevate your heart rate and put real effort into a workout for it to have a meaningful impact ?
  7. Alan now that you are famous don't forget your friends. When the hot groupies start throwing themselves at you at computer conventions remember who stood by you and Bioware through the months of condemnation..it was me ...it was me !!! I don't expect much, maybe a penthouse apartment in Toronto...oh and I don't believe that old saying that says " you can't buy love" ...at least I think you should make a really good attempt to try before we dismiss that statement
  8. Its not, many would argue that Chimps have better lives than many humans. So welcome to our zoo according to the test , you aren't alone
  9. I tend to follow that eating etiquette as well. For example don't go to good seafood restaurant and expect killer spare ribs.
  10. Nice! I had to look up Bovril I'm working really late so I ordered a sandwich from Jimmy John's Interesting, I assumed you got Bovril in the USA. Its absolutely delicious, sometimes its best just to have in on toast with loads of butter.
  11. That should suit someone of your gregarious personality perfectly Plus you can REALLY score with the ladies as you can say "you don't have to like me but don't hate the fight against cancer ...do it for all the people in this world who aren't as healthy as you "
  12. Tonight I had Tomato soup with toast and Bovril, simple but tasty and healthy
  13. BruceVC replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-10-30-steam-passes-65-million-active-users-milestone So Steam has 65 million active users. An impressive number by any standard
  14. Okay that settles it, this test is a SHAM and reeks of subterfuge. I can understand myself getting 2/9 but Hurlshot getting 2/9 is not possible. He is a teacher you stooooopid test.
  15. Stupid quiz, I only got 2/9 Afraid to say I got the same score, although it could of been worse, I was 0/7 at one stage. Was surprised by some answers though, lol..I also only got the last 2 or so right so I was heading for a solid 0/9 until the end
  16. Stupid quiz, I only got 2/9
  17. Historic Khazaria placed between Don, Volga and North Caucasus. It's Russian territory. And about Sweden... I cant find Sweden on maps even in XII century. How they can invited Swede in 862 AD if in this time nor Sweden, nor Sweden people yet not exist? Nope http://unitednuclear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_5 Anyone can build Polonium in present time. Oby you have confirmed what I have always suspected, Sweden was created by powerful Western corporations in the last 100 years in order to breed hot blond women that will conquer the known world and force us to follow one government . Its not a real country !!!!
  18. This is an interesting topic but its been discussed extensively in the Kickstarter thread in Computer and Console section. Personally I'm not supporting this project until Keyrock gives his famous "thumbs-up" The game looks too generic for me and there isn't anything really about it that distinguishes it from other RPG?
  19. Arrogance, it has to be. People think him doing crack or being a drunk doesn't matter because hey, everyone has been drunk and no one should judge (ironically these are the same people that have orgasms over 'tough' laws on drugs or gangs). Which is depressing - large segments of my city think that their mayor hanging out with drug users, gang members or being blind drunk frequently is not a concern. So he will be re-elected, people buy into this image of him being an average joe (why you want one of those as mayor, I do not know) I read in the paper that it's just frustration with slick controlled politicians. I have to say that I find the idea of anyone getting to 40+ or however old politicians are these days, without cutting loose once in a while betokens a sick mind. I'm not endorsing crack smoking, but being wild doesn't scare me at all. I hear you but my issue with the mayor and him smoking crack cocaine is more about how he responded. Instead of a proper apology he initially denied it and has been very truculent and intransigent about his actions. In the beginning he said " he demands the Police show the video" ...later when he realized that the Police really had the video he then admitted he had indeed smoked crack If he can lie so brazenly about that what else is he lying about in his duties of public office, for that reason alone I can't believe people still want him as mayor? This is about his credibility for me and not about his drug usage
  20. I'm not convinced but I am interested. I'll keep an eye on this. Hopefully Guido and Co. divulge a lot more particulars before the campaign is over. It worries me if you aren't convinced When you become confidant that this project is viable then I'll consider supporting it. You are my litmus test for any game that I don't know about
  21. I never liked the cops in Rambo, they has serious redneck attitudes. If the game allows me I'll kill them all and wipe out the whole the town for electing them in the first place
  22. Malc I am following this story its amazing that he hasn't resigned. I saw him also getting very aggressive with journalists that were camped on his property. Why do your Canadian politicians feel that smoking crack cocaine and getting filmed doesn't mean you should resign? You obviously don't have enough serious social problems
  23. How do you make this sandwich? Are the onions raw and what cheese do you normally use?
  24. This year I started actively going back to gym. I go 4-6 times a week and do 1 hour of cardio a day. This is broken into 20 minutes of cycling, rowing and running. I have lost 5 kg's since the beginning of the year and I'm feeling very fit. I don't plan on ever stopping going back to gym for the rest of my life
  25. You are referring to post #48 that you "liked"? I do not have the power to remove a "like". Maybe one of the Global Mods can do it but your best bet would be to PM Fionavar. Thanks I will, can you delete my post after that says " I think the bear looks cute"
