  1. Thats also true, it is possible to tell the truth but to be seen as trolling....and in fact it can be a form of trolling when you tell the truth I sometimes get accused of trolling when all I'm doing is giving a different perspective and people don't like to hear it
  2. I am VERY envious, I have never been to Texas and I desperately want to. I have watched loads of cooking shows about parts of Texas so I would also be eating Texas barbeque every night as well ....have a rack of ribs for me Oh the best BBQ is right here in my home town. Texas has nothing on Memphis on that note. An North Carolina? Please. Someone needs to tell them that a mustard based sauce is an affront to nature! Its interesting because when I watch the various cooking shows about BBQ there are always the same states that come up where you get the best BBQ Texas, Kansas, Tennessee and the Carolinas. It would be interesting to see a BBQ competition between these states but I suppose at this level it comes down to a personal taste. So you will battle to find an agreed on "winner" because they are all winners I just know it all looks good. Meat slowly smoked for 24 hours and different BBQ marinades lovingly applied to brisket and ribs ... and so tender meat just falls off the bones !!! Yummy
  3. There actually no lore issues with female Thor in the Marvel Universe. Mjolnir has the specific legend of "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Semantic argument over the lack of gender neutral pronouns in the English language aside, the intent was, and always has been, that whoever was deemed worthy by the enchantment could hold the hammer and be Thor. Hence Beta Ray Bill. The new Thor is a woman who is worthy, and thus has Thor's powers. Thor Odinson has become "unworthy" for unclear reasons. There are already several other female Thor analogs, including Valkyrie, Thor Girl and Thor himself (transformed into a woman as in one of the original legends as I recall). I mean to say this earlier but you made a very relevant and reasonable point, you have given a perfectly logical reason why there should be no issue with a female Thor
  4. No, not from my side as I wouldn't be able to relate to the party interaction that is required for Romance. I always say Romance is basically between humanoid creatures, so to expect Romance between a Centaur and a human would be unrealistic for me ?
  5. Plenty of reasons why people don't. Some don't care about the sport, some don't care about sport and the yokels getting exuberant over it - if you don't care about the subject material, why would you bother cheering or supporting any side ? As I said I wouldn't expect you to watch a sport you don't watch but to not want your country to win is just something I can't relate to
  6. Well you live in a particular country, you are citizen of that country. Don't you automatically just support them in international sports events? Sometimes I wonder how you can have incredibly generalized and oversimplified views like this. People are varied, not all of them care about sports and not all of them think the personal accomplishments of athletes reflect on a country. Some might dislike the personalities of players involved and root against them, others might simply not be proud of their country - do you assume all Ukrainians will root for their "home team"? Quite a lot of people I know get so annoyed with overblown soccer mania every time there is a championship that they actively support the opponents. Even without that, most people I know aren't overly patriotic - it's not like you had a choice in where you were born, after all. Even the ones that are won't just blindly support something. A person can be proud of some things a country has done while not being overly fond of how they are doing now, for example, and in some cases people can even actively hate their country. Oh sure, sometimes there are reasons to not support your country. During Apartheid many people use to support other countries outside of South Africa. But Ukraine is not the same as Canada. Anyway this must be cultural difference, its just normal for me to always support South Africa in sports and every single person I know feels the same
  7. No. Well, some may. But sports? Not really a patriotic thing (where I am). Just a fan-thing. Nope, I don't. That's disappointing, I don't get how or why a person wouldn't support the country they are a citizen of in an international sports event. I get people don't like sports but I don't get the lack of support. And Malc I guess you right, I do still judge people
  8. Thats a good idea, they could add Romance through an expansion/ DLC's And effectively test the waters, the only issue may be normally Romance isn't tied to the plot?
  9. Well you live in a particular country, you are citizen of that country. Don't you automatically just support them in international sports events?
  10. And for normal people, this would constitute finality on the topic. But not for Bruce. Oh no. He is, quite literally, reading this statement from Josh Sawyer and responding with: "Please do it anyway! I'll take nauseating, bad-fan-fiction romances! Even if they turn the only IP you own into an industry joke!" Sure, I understand Josh's view and he is entitled to it but that doesn't mean he would be so intransigent and refuse to even consider Romance. Remember Stun the ultimate success criteria of a software product is not if the developers are happy but rather if the fans are
  11. Technically they said they didn't believe they could do it properly so they would rather not do a bad implementation I can understand that as the creation of there first RPG and all its relevant components was obviously more important but I believe now they will have ample time to apply themselves to a fitting and acceptable Romance solution It certainly is a serious possibility. Another issue is how easy is the game to mod. For example; if PoE is too hard to mod in romances the overall fanbase's desire for Obsidian to include a romance in the vanilla game will be much greater. One of the best arguments against OE providing romance in PoE is that the modding community can add their own anyway. If this can't be done then I believe PoE2 will probably have romances. In a way; you should hope PoE is too hard to mod Bruce. Good technical points young grasshopper. And very relevant to the overall discussion

  13. You need to understand Stun is an active member of the anti-Romance crowd on these forums. They are a small but vociferous group, you need to meet Hiro if you think Stun is unconstructive, lets just say we have had many entertaining debates Anyway we have tried to reason with them and make them see the advantages of optional Romance in a RPG.....but we failed. Good luck coming right Normally you would be spot on and I would be hard pressed to dispute this post but you have overlooked a major consideration that irrevocably and fundamentally changes this situation Obsidian will have released their first RPG by then and they would be understandably less stressed PoE will have been a success and now they would be asking themselves " how can we make PoE2 even better". Romance will inevitably come up and now Obsidian will have time to do a proper implementation. So yes they didn't want Romance during the KS because they had other much more important deliverables but I can guarantee you Romance will be a serious consideration for PoE2
  14. Whats the reason again you don't support your country? No reason to. And watching sports fans here whine and excuse defeat is always good fun. Hell it is even fun to watch Arsenal fans do it, some fools crying over defeats and so on. i'm sorry to ask this but don't you feel natural patriotism to your country? That would be a reason to support Canada?
  15. I certainly hope not. Obsidian's never done a romance that didn't suck monkey balls. It would be stupid for them to follow up PoE1's financial success with a sequel that contains features they can't do well. If PoE ends up being a super-profitable game, I'm hoping Obsidian reacts intelligently, by pointing to its sales numbers and saying: "See that, Oh misguided RPG industry? RPGs don't need gushy soap opera elements to make money." No this is a completely unreasonable and unrealistic expectation, most of us promancers are very optimistic that Obsidian will implement some form of Romance in PoE2. Why go against what most people would like ?
  16. Whats the reason again you don't support your country?
  17. Is one supposed to be impressed? I still haven't played Skyrim yet so you can imagine how impressed I was

  19. No it is related because it aligns to several SJ concepts This topic first came about when GTA V was banned. Please look at your calendar to see when that was. It has been over a month. You have had ample time to make your point. If you are incapable of making your point within a month's time, it's probably not a very strong or direly important point to begin with. All you are doing now is crowding out any ability to have ANY other discussion relevant to GamerGate, which I consider quite rude. I also proposed two questions to you several pages ago, both of which were blatantly ignored because they do not neatly align with your narrative you wish to solicit. Sure I understand your frustration, but when do we ever stay on topic ? Can I ask you a favour, can you post those 2 questions again. I would like to answer them? Sorry I don't remember what you asked me
  20. Well I mean people who work in the sex industry...and you right I do judge certain people
  21. I'm okay with strippers and hookers, I don't judge people. But that doesn't mean I'm not aware of their quality of life
  22. No it is related because it aligns to several SJ concepts
  23. I won't go into too many details but lets just consider one point, how do you think anyone would feel about having sex for money.....yes you may enjoy it but what would the emotional and psychological impact be? Bruce... Firstly, people are different and run the gamut from those that would never be able to go through it to those that find it empowering. Psychological impact is what moralists who have little clue about sex workers and think of it as closely associated to the crime world and negative in general. The only reason why prostitution is abused by criminals is because it is illegal; although as someone pointed to me before on another thread decriminalization doesn't necessarily stop that, but it helps regulate it and police abuses. Secondly, prostitution isn't the only job with a psychological impact and when you compare it with other heavier jobs it seems very tame. Yet no one seems to want to criminalize those jobs or eliminate them. Even when not all of them are necessary or useful, they still exist and for many it is the only way to put food on the table. Thirdly, how do you reconcile "Her body her choice" with "Prostitution and Porn should be illegal"? Come on guys, you can't seriously be arguing with me about this and suggesting that a sex workers job isn't both demeaning and degrading? I think they should legalize all sex work, the girls need protection in the eyes of the law So we should ban jobs that have to deal with sewage, excrement, bugs or anything that its demeaning and degrading? Or are they allowed as long as we keep women away from them and in cushy white collar jobs? You people that are for equality can't seem to stop showing their double standard when equality becomes harmful for your protected minorities. Orog I really enjoy debating with you but I'm not sure if you are trolling or not now when you compare a guys that cleans sewage to the same as a sex worker? I am going to assume you are being serious and respond What happens when someone becomes a sex worker is that they lose that part of them that makes sex intimate and personal. This may not seem like a big deal but it is, think about it. Most sex workers I have met don't have serious boyfriends or a real relationship and you can understand why most people wouldn't seriously date a sex worker and most of the time the girls feel the same way So the girls do it for the money and I'm not judging at all but you must realize that part of them becomes dead on an emotional level, I'm probably not explaining it properly.I apologize for that

  25. Talking about Cheese the Americans have now become the worlds biggest producer of Cheese, they have surpassed the French as the traditional cheese masters You can get some amazing Cheeses in the USA, especially from dairy states like Wisconsin. In fact you can also get a 30 year cheddar from Wisconsin, its horribly expensive but imagine how amazing it must taste http://www.today.com/food/say-cheese-40-year-old-cheddar-sale-wisconsin-972745
