The police were initially overwhelmed by the sheer numbers but they will get it under control, they also have to consider and first protect all the members of the Congress This has nothing to do with race but an initial lack of resources and they were surprised by the level of violence and caught off-guard -

Its a disgrace how long it took Trump to comment on this violence and criminal behavior ...and it wasnt even a real admonishment of the anarchy And as Hoonding mentioned now Pence needs a real security unit to be escorted from the building -

Fair enough. But just for the record what would you call the 3 months of protests in Portland where shops were closed and some were vandalized, cops were injured and attacked, protestors were injured and some arrested for breaking the law and Federal buildings were also vandalized. What would you call that ? -

Malc does this mean you finally support me when I called for swift police action to arrest anyone breaking the law during BLM protests or the protracted anarchy we saw for months in places like Portland ? -

I am very impressed with McConnell's speech, he is doing the right thing and I respect him immensely for this and pointing out the hypocrisy with what Trump wants to do -

Holy Smoke, I am watching the electoral collogue ceremony and they have adjourned to discuss the FIRST objection....how long is this going to take if they can apparently debate for 2 hours per objection? This could go on for a whole day at this rate ? -

Thats not true in the direct way you framing it. The USA provided funding and surreptitious support, through CIA operatives, during the USSR Afghan war,1979-1989, to the Afghan Mujahideen, Afghan tribal fighters , who were actively fighting the Soviets as the Soviets were trying to occupy Afghanistan. They only did this as this was the Cold War and the USA and Soviets fought numerous proxy wars during this time In other words the USA and the West would generally always supports countries and governments opposed to Communism and vice versa for China and the Soviet Union. Bin Laden was one of the foreign fighters who came to Afghanistan to fight the Soviets so yes the USA did train and fund people like him but that was before AQ even existed and no one could have predicted what Bin Laden and AQ would do after the Afghan war ended in 1989, only later was Al-Qaeda created And the USA didnt fund ISIS, they funded or tried to fund the Free Syrian Army and groups like the Kurds who were fighting ISIS ISIS always had its own revenue and access to weapons and later on when they created there false Caliphate they had oil revenue streams which provided real funding until the Caliphate was destroyed by a united Arab army finally in 2019 https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/23/middleeast/end-of-isis-caliphate-intl/index.html -

How did Obama escalate tension in the ME? He pulled the USA military out of Iraq in 2011 and refused to send troops back until the USA helped prevent ISIS committing more massacre's like the wiping out of the Yezidis in Syria 2014/2015 The USA had to intervene because no else was prepared to help the ME countries fight ISIS https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jun/17/barack-obama-sends-troops-back-to-iraq-as-crisis-worsens https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/yezidis-sinjar-massacre-rape-iraq-isis-fighters-children-a9037126.html -

You cant count Syria as a war, the USA provided some military and training resources for the Free Syrian Army but it was a disaster because it actually needed more direct military intervention to help the Syrian rebels overthrown Assad. Obama refused to do that because China and Russia vetoed any military intervention back in 2014 . I supported Obama and he did the right thing around Syria because he refused to intervene militarily in basically any military conflict unless supported by the UNSC or there was a direct threat to the USA. Of course the outcome and carnage of the Syrian conflict being allowed to continue has been terrible and its still ongoing over one last remaining Syrian province, Idlib. But you cant blame Obama for that because he ultimately respected the veto of the UNSC Iraq and Afghanistan are examples of wars the USA is involved in but not Syria, that I would define as a military intervention like Libya -

Something else interesting you mentioned about Pence, I know he has been an obsequious sycophant to Trump but I do like him and feel sorry for him because he is now part of this ridiculous theater where he is somehow suppose to do something he cannot really legally do So lets say he performs the normal ceremonial role the Trump base is going to blame him and hold him responsible for simply following the US Constitution around this electoral collogue recognition Does anyone else feel bad for Pence and what is going to happen today ? -

There is a rise at the moment of cryptocurrency generally but the risk is exactly what happened to you earlier. You cannot predict what will happen next with any cryptocurrency and when it crashes no one takes any responsibility. Purely from a return on investment and considering you have other more stable investments you should sell but you also arent deeply committed so you could just see how it goes purely for the experience ...its not going to hurt you financially if there is another crash. The link below is the problem with cryptocurrency, you will never find this with any other type of normal investment unless it based on a serious problem like 2008 where people lost money but the markets recovered. Imagine you had invested your life savings in this type of crypto investment and you lost everything because one person died....this is the real risk with cryptocurrency https://news.sky.com/story/crypto-trader-boss-dies-with-password-to-clients-110m-11628106 -

You wise to avoid any kind of cryptocurrency GD, stick to commodities like Gold because it has intrinsic value and there is a real understanding of what impacts the price and you have recourse when the price fluctuates -

Yes China is a threat on certain levels and there contempt for human rights and general Democratic rule needs to be addressed But that doesnt mean the USA will go to war with them, you wont see any countries that have nuclear weapons going to war because of the threat of mutually assured destruction. Thats why the USSR and the USA never went to war directly and the Cold War was about proxy wars. So their could be sanctions and punitive economic steps against China but there wont a traditional war in the WW1 & 2 sense https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction#:~:text=Mutually assured destruction (MAD) is a doctrine of,defender (see pre-emptive nuclear strike and second strike). -

Is this really fair ? Did they mislead gamers around the terrible performance on consoles ....arent they going to address this ? CDPR is an excellent company and I would hate this to lead to them closing down I can understand the share price drop but this will recover so basically this is about angry console gamers....not really such a big deal. Its a game after all

Thanks for explaining in a way I understand, this post above has been one of the primary concerns I have with a Democrat sweeping victory and I have mentioned it on several occasions The Trump backlash could be more about payback and that isnt helpful in the long-term. But as Scott Jennings, moderate and reasonable Republican commentator, mentioned now on CNN " he is happy if the Democrats implement so called " extreme left polices " because this will just aid the Republicans in the next mid-term elections But I dont consider Biden an extremist and I do believe the focus now is going to be on the virus and addressing the spread so I doubt this will occur But yes the point " an eye for an eye " cannot be completely ignored -
What Are You Playing Now: The meaning of life
BruceVC replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
I finished Bards Tale 4 yesterday and what a gaming experience it was, firstly it scores a solid 70/100 on the globally respected and followed " BruceVC gaming rating score " system However for those that havent played this RPG yet I need to share some important feedback so you dont misunderstand the good and bad of this game It was unquestionably the hardest RPG I have ever played and the primary reason for this is the puzzles that are intrinsically part of the game and cannot be ignored or glossed over. There are about 5-6 puzzles that come up regularly throughout the game in different maps so if you dont like puzzles dont play this RPG I generally dont like puzzles or rather I dont like spending hours trying to solve them....life is too short for me to spend 4 hours on a specific puzzle in any game. The secret to Bards Tale puzzles is all the puzzles have similar mechanics around their basic rules so you must learn this and then the solving of them becomes fun or much less frustrating I admit even though I learnt the mechanics of the puzzles I used game guides for at least 30-35 % of all puzzles but the game guides are not always clear and sometimes wrong with their views on how to solve them. But the guides definitely help Then sometimes, especially in the beginning of the game on early levels , some of the combat seems unbalanced agaisnt your party so I would sometimes drop the difficulty level to easy for about 10 % of all combat. Dont feel bad about doing this because some battles are almost impossible without this But the combat and skill advancement is complex and great fun once you understand the various metrics like Divinity 2 Also there is very little hand holding and you must get use to going back to rooms and areas on maps because sometimes you can easily miss a key that is critical to open a certain gate, once again I sometimes used guides to find where certain items were But the game design is excellent around offering you side quests and exciting different ways to advance your party and they do reward you for " going off the beaten path " and exploring things outside the primary quest So in closing, excellent RPG but very difficult around puzzles that can become very frustrating if you dont fully understand the puzzle objective and trust me some of the puzzles, like the blood flowing door opening cogs, can be incredibly difficult to understand Interesting statistic, based on accurate Steam data only 6 % of all people who started this RPG finally completed it so its definitely a " hardcore " RPG and not for everyone who may prefer a less complex gaming experience But well done InXile for creating such a compelling game
