  1. So you suggesting if their are 5 corrupt cops in a station of 30 cops you must shut down the whole station and fire everyone or defund everyone. That makes no sense ?
  2. Lambs chops with mash potato, man I love Lamb. I fry these chops on very high heat for maybe 2 minutes on each side and make sure the fat is crispy Oh I also add a few drops of Worcestershire sauce to the chops at the end I just wish Lamb wasnt so expensive
  3. I am at that exciting phase of gaming where I decide " what next to play " ? I am vacillating between Morrowind, ELEX or Arx Fatalis with some Mods of course ...such choices, such choices
  4. Well their does seem to be a general sense of surprise that he was found guilty on all 3 charges. Many people were unsure if he would be found guilty at all from what I saw on CNN
  5. Wow the George Floyd verdict is in...very exciting, I think he will be found guilty of the second charge, I think it was third degree manslaughter, 25 years he should get ?
  6. https://news.yahoo.com/table-mountain-fire-residents-evacuated-112654316.html I have had the most torrid few days since Sunday when arsonists set fire to bush in Table Mountain and started a massive and sweeping fire , I didnt sleep on Sunday night as I was helping transport family friends from the UCT, University of Cape Town, to my sisters place as the university was evacuated due to the fire and the damage it caused Where I live is near Table Mountain but my flat wasn't threatened but their was this constant smell of burning bush for the last 48 hours. Anyway the fires have been mostly contained and thankfully no one was killed but the main library at UCT was burned to the ground and much of the books and irreplaceable study material has been destroyed
  7. Its a good question and one I can provide some answers. Many companies and investment firms have studied this reality to understand why southern Africa is one of the only regions where people living in extreme poverty has not dropped and in some cases its has increased Its also not a racist question and should be discussed and understood to assist the economic growth of the region The good news is I already studied several reports and confirmed actual issues in certain countries that have lead to the different degrees of economic failure, these can be fixed but it would require the actual AU and the residents to work together I am just going to summarize key contributions, I can provide more links if required their are several failed country's that have not been fixed so poverty continues their has been no attempt to find the official regulations and laws for what constitutes a proper run country so we see real breakdowns in some regions The AU is just a talk shop so their is no economic measures that can be applied to help African countries so we are on our own
  8. Rjshae I have been meaning to follow-up with you on an important discussion we were having on the impact of BLM protests that were allowed to go in certain cities for months Just to summarize my concern so I dont waste your time, Seattle was one of the cities I thought had decided to take a ostensibly imprudent liberal or conciliatory stance to dealing with the BLM protests and I remember had actually allowed activists to occupy a police station !!! I also realize Seattle is a very understanding and reasonable place but its not personally something I can understand. Because for me when you allow your police stations to be abandoned you it sends a signal that the rule of law and order is no longer applicable But I accept that is not why they did it and they felt this was somehow a good way to placate the activists. But end of the day the outcome of this is what is the real impact to citizens who live their so how are things in Seattle now....do you feel safe, are the police respected more and what is the general feeling of citizens towards what happened ? So what I am getting at is did that decision change anything in a negative way ?
  9. Thats an interesting idea and also could create a really unique narrative. Lets unpack your idea a little, what about different groups of people who have their own gods who in turn they grant their followers different powers but unlike American Gods these are humans and can be killed But each of these groups of people would live in different parts of the world and normally only come into conflict with each other when countries go to war with each other like WW1 So the series would be about an impending global event that was coming....maybe another world war or something similar but this event that was coming was going to be cataclysmic to the world and could lead to whole continents being destroyed and billions of people being wiped out so each country or region would have its loyal superheroes that have one main objective....they want to ensure their own citizens survive what is coming So imagine all the nuance and complexity you could create, you could have superheroes that might have been friends at war with each other and then the various gods empowering their supporters so they will survive I am not sure if you read comics or use to , but I am sure you have heard of 2000AD and the likes of Judge Dredd. Anyway there was a spin0ff series of comics from the same company that created 2000 AD called Crisis and they had a storyline called the New Statesmen which was similar to what we discussing but slightly different around how people became superheroes ....if you havent read the comics below you must !!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Statesmen
  10. I didnt but I saw a Steam post about that, I initially thought it was a joke. How do you achieve it and how does it end ? I spent about 80 worthwhile hours on this game and immediately killed Pagan when I could....I cant believe after all the mayhem and destruction he caused he actually believed I would want to scatter my mothers ashes with him !!!!
  11. I finished Far Cry 4 last night and it was an entertaining experience, it gets a solid 65/100 on the highly respected global " BruceVC game score " system We all know about Ubisoft games and what they deliver on and FC4 is no different. I found myself compelled despite some " side quest fatigue " still doing numerous activities and killing random enemies right to the end. I like the way the economy of the game works, you utilize money quickly and the side quests provide ways to fund your ammunition purchases and healing syringes which are critical I found the game to be very elegant and functional , everything worked and I had no bugs or crashes that I can recall I particularly enjoyed hunting animals and clearing the main enemy fortresses. And the crafting element made sense and it was fun finding animals to kill for resources Good game and recommended for a break from fantasy RPG which is the undeniable leader of all gaming genres ....as we all know
  12. You raise some good points Gromnir and I agree with most of it because historical precedence always matters and can shape and inform citizens views The only point I would still raise is the Baltic States are not part of Russia nowadays so why would citizens living their think the USSR offered a better standard of living ? Because nowadays their economies and quality of life is much better than under the USSR https://blog.reinvest24.com/the-economy-in-the-baltic-states-keeps-growing-and-heres-why#:~:text=The Baltic states’ economy in 2019 looks promising.,will continue to stimulate economic growth relatively strongly.
  13. Interesting observation but it doesn't really make sense to me? What do they miss about the USSR because the Baltic states were treated really badly within the USSR which is why you will notice how committed they are to the EU and how quickly all three countries joined the EU after the collapse of the USSR. Most people were not automatically wealthy in the Baltic states during the Cold War Lived experience matters in many ways so this type of opinion from people living in a particular country is always pertinent
  14. No you right, it is kind of a cliché ....but lets be honest we are so spoilt by abundance when it comes to themes and narratives its going to be hard to create any genre or new series that most of us wont recognize in some way or another But for me I find I still enjoy certain genres and watch any TV series that are follow those themes
  15. That is very clever and humorous analogy about political rhetoric and sauce ...well played
  16. Shady, we discussed this and you agreed. You dont need an electrician as you can rely on the numerous opinions of people on this forum to help you fix all your electrical problems ...dont waste money when it can be spent on things like food and alcohol
  17. Gorthfuscious you not taking this subject very seriously and it is a very serious subject. For example its not so much the left or right wing but the type of sauce that matters. It must be a blue cheese sauce and preferably a Roquefort blue cheese sauce .....that is the ideal blue cheese sauce and should be mandatory with all wings
  18. Try this article, you can unlink the synchronization of folders and even disable it completely. I dont use it personally but some of our customers use it and it generally behaves https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/turn-off-disable-or-uninstall-onedrive-f32a17ce-3336-40fe-9c38-6efb09f944b0?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us
  19. What happened, how did OneDrive impact your laptop?
  20. And I am very angry and upset that the Romans arrived in Britain in 43 AD and colonized my ancestors who use to have their own culture and religions. We all know about the culture of the Celts and their religious representatives the Druids I demand redress and the Italians to admit they colonized my ancestors !!!!
  21. Bah, 156 years is nothing. Try 400 years where in our SA narrative some activists ( and it is a small number )and political commentators believe all white people are responsible for the arrival of the original colonialists and what transpired ...irrespective of the actual time period your ancestors arrived in SA or whether they were the original Dutch settlers You Americans have at least another 500 years of being responsible for all the historical injustices of the past ....get comfortable GD, its a long and inaccurate account of history
  22. Comrade I get confused with all this SJ and political nomenclature, what would you call someone who believes in Communism but lives in a country like the USA? Are they left or far left or extreme left ?
  23. Good question and I have an answer, if white people were involved then you still bring it up but if other races were involved then its okay to be conquered and colonized Simple really
  24. No dont get confused, its not a conservative ideology. Its a deeply flawed and failed ideology But we refer to it as " old school" because nowadays you have people claiming to believe and support Communism\socialism but they dont really know what the original implementation of Communism was about and why it failed. Hence the term " old school " refers to that type of Communism and not modern day discussions of where it should be implemented
