  1. This is my biggest concern and expectation, I want to know more about the new development studio and what projects they have been involved in. Can they deliver an exciting Vampire gaming experience is what I need to be convinced of ?
  2. I dont ever feel my week is normal without a post from Comrade that highlights his ideological inconsistency and blatant hypocrisy You have an issue with the country India which is an excellent and reliable economic partner because it is " fascist " yet you are fine with one party state of China that is involved in the mass rape and " re-education " of the Uighur Chinese Muslims in camps ? India is a Democracy and Modi was elected Democratically yes their is a rise of Hindu nationalism in some parts of India but its a small issue compared to the autocratic reality of the CCP India is an excellent choice for investment and understands the benefits of the free market, to quote from your article From the macroeconomic standpoint, India has over a billion population and a growing middle class. Over the past five years, the Narendra Modi administration in India has been enacting reforms in land, labor and bankruptcy laws, opening up the socio-capitalist economy to the global markets. The reforms in these sectors have made the economy an attractive proposition for American private equity and asset management firms from Blackrock to Blackstone to diversify and grow their portfolio of investments in the economy.
  3. https://www.pcgamer.com/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines-2-delayed-as-its-developer-is-replaced/ I must say these delays are getting ridiculous now
  4. Just one example of the important role Turkey plays in the region, which people sometimes forget due to Erdogans sometimes reckless political decisions, is that Turkey helps with a very important staging area which helps to process immigrants wanting to live in the EU. If Turkey wasnt doing this the EU would be dealing with hundreds of thousands of additional immigrants and refugees outside of what the EU is currently trying to address https://www.ekathimerini.com/news/250424/eu-turkey-seeking-to-keep-lines-of-communication-open-on-migration/ @Skarpen trust me on this but the last thing we want is the people of Poland and other EU countries having to deal with thousands more refugees and immigrants expecting automatic citizenship
  5. Yes you need to separate each country in the ME and look at the circumstances and history of each government to understand and be objective around its success and failures For example its unhelpful and inaccurate to keep blaming the West for the situation in Libya, Gaddafi had every opportunity to include the various Libyan tribes in the economy of Libya when this was raised by the Libyan people during the Arab Spring He decided to go to war with his own people and the Western airpower initiative helped prevent a massacre in the besieged town of Misrata https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Misrata Yes the West then extended the bombing campaign but only to defeat Gaddafis airpower, anti-aircraft and military hardware...but the ground to ground fighting was done by Libyan tribes and Gaddafi was killed in the streets of Tripoli by Libyan militias. Not the West Also and most important their was never an agreement that the West would get involved and rebuild Libya once Gaddafi was gone, many of the Libyan tribes disliked the notion of the West getting involved in running the country post-Gaddafi and the West didnt want to do this anyway. This must and should be a united effort managed through the UN
  6. How observant are you really ?
  7. Thats good to know....that French company must be very unhappy with the Finnish authorities for getting them to pay for the delays ? Elerond if I was you I would avoid going to France for the next 15-20 years...just lets things cool down for a while
  8. Yes but under the laws of Finland, so the French company had to adhere to Finnish regulations around not being corrupt and similar things
  9. That is scary the cost of your nuclear station....and if a country like Finland ,which is considered very organized and has relatively little corruption compared to many other countries , created such project cost creep I shudder to think what the cost and delays would be in SA where we battle with huge amounts of corruption mostly in the public sector which a nuclear station would more than likely be controlled by ...it really scares me
  10. But the initial Gulen coup was real, it was mishandled and doomed to fail but it was real Erdogan took advantage of that coup in numerous ways that included arresting any journalists he didnt like as part of the " lets free Turkey from the evil Gulenists " And as you mentioned he now blames many things on Gulen and some of them have nothing to do with Gulen and his supporters But we must never forget the important role Turkey plays in the region, like Saudi Arabia. So we mustnt be too harsh on Erdogan because his country is important for regional prosperity and stability
  11. Yes you raise a valid point, our societies shouldn't waste resources and money ever on investments that are inferior to others unless their are legitimate reasons like budgetary restraints But thats not what happened here, Texas decided years ago to not rely on the Federal energy grid. They are about 90 % off the national grid but they didnt " winterize", which means their energy infrastructure wasn't prepared for harsh cold, so when this storm struck the local energy providers were found to be badly prepared on numerous levels So no one built something faulty, what they built wasn't designed for this type of very rare arctic wind which dropped temperature to levels unseen in living memory
  12. The thing is you will see less mutations when their is less examples of the virus running rampant, so until we get the vaccine impact working like we want I cant see how any country will be spared having to deal with virus strains unless it closes all its borders and ensures their is very little spread within their respective country ?
  13. Not understanding a contract, signing a contract and complaining later about the contract isnt really a justifiable reason to blame the outcome of the contract Sorry Hurlshot....thats life
  14. I also found this strange, I pay a fixed price per kWh and thats how I like it But what happened in Texas that has devastated people is someone who use to $900\month now was billed $16,000 and the debit can be automatic so it literally wipes out their savings because they were one of those Texans who had some electricity during the cold weather so they get billed automatically This type of energy usage system was not designed for that type of egregious billing...irrespective of the reason because of the direct impact to customers
  15. Great article and accurate to, to quote from the EU in the link The Chinese economic system, with its unique melding of public, private and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) resources to advance industrial policy objectives, is incompatible with the WTO norms of transparency, non-discrimination, reciprocity and market orientation. This hard truth needs to be recognized. Very true
  16. No Dark, its not the green energy that is the biggest contributor to the energy grid. And it wasnt the greatest failure, that was fossil fuels like coal
  17. This is true, I was watching a really informative interview on State of the Union and they had Republican senator Michael McCaul of Texas on who explained 75 % of the total energy the Texas grid uses comes from fossil fuels and those were the pipes that froze, so it wasnt green energy that primarily added to this energy crisis And this was after the Texas energy companies were advised in 2011 after the last damaging cold spell to " winterize " their energy grid....so they were warned but they ignored it
  18. https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/experimental-bio-warfare-melbourne-anti-vax-protesters-condemn-covid-vaccine/ar-BB1dRCI9 Gorthfuscious, Im shocked by this anarchy and lawlessness on the streets of Melbourne, 15 people arrested ...what is the solution? Quicker and more arrests so that people listen to government ?
  19. But their are major differences between the potential Covid global economic crash and events like 2008, 2012 and the great Depression These events were causes primarily by structural problems within the global financial markets, this Covid economic crisis is caused by an artificial problem which was the global economic shutdown I know you talking about pre-Covid, I am just making an important distinction that we need to realize when we rebuild our economies after the vaccines start working and our lives return to normal. We dont want to throw the baby out the bathwater with fearmongering like " we need to change the entire global economic system to fix obvious inequality and inconsistency within our healthcare systems"
  20. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/immigration-biden-administration-admits-first-group-of-migrants-forced-to-stay-in-mexico-under-trump-era-policy/ar-BB1dQdR1 I have always been concerned with the general Democratic approach to illegal immigration and their immigration policies in general I can understand this current decision in the link but I hope we dont see people rewarded with citizenship or work visas that are just allocated based on the fact " did you arrive on the border with or without papers " This tends to set a very bad precedent for other countries grappling with the serious problem of illegal immigration
  21. Whoever is to blame for the unpreparedness of Texas doesnt really concern me as much as I feel very sorry for citizens of Texas and what they are enduring, the footage shown around the winter damage looks very harsh Pipes bursting, no water and people sleeping in cars to keep warm are evocative images to forget And yes Ted Cruz is a coward
  22. Great video, very funny at times. It looks like a tasty dessert
  23. Hi Gromnir Nice to see you posting again, you have been quiet lately and for some reason I was worried about you....maybe it was your story about the Shingles vaccine? Anyway good to see you okay
  24. Why you being so nasty to Hawke, maybe he is sensitive to these types of comments and he gets offended and never posts here again....imagine how guilty you would feel? And we like Hawke, he is a very committed and interesting gamer, so we dont want to get upset and leave the forum
  25. Thats a fair amount of time to be away, when I use to work on projects in Africa and the ME I would normally be away for 2 weeks and occasionally 4-5 weeks Do you travel to specific states or do you go to all states? Which brings me to my next question, I imagine you have travelled, worked and stayed all over the USA, what have been your favorite states and why did you find them so enjoyable ? Sorry for all the questions I am just interested in real life views on certain topics I cant really understand through economic reports and analysis or watching TV channels like CNN which dont offer many anecdotal stories which are always an important part of understanding the current realities of citizens actually living in a specific country
