  1. Free market economies and privatization definitely doesnt mean the poor will necessarily suffer, you will still have labor laws and regulations that ensure the rights of unions and general workers rights It will lead to your economy becoming stronger but I am not sure why Sweden would want to make such sweeping changes because your economy is already strong under the current hybrid socialist\capitalist models that exist in the Nordic countries So for example its not like you have real inequality so why change the economic fundamentals ?
  2. Thats a strawman argument, of course their will be lots of fantasy in the RPG. Thats to be expected but its not the same as saying " we should have genderless characters to improve Romance arcs " Ask anyone who enjoys Romance if they would be happy with that and I am sure the response will be a resounding " no " Optional Romance can only improve a RPG and we should be expecting it in the interests of realism and immersion when it comes to how you interact with your party members in any party based RPG
  3. Thats another terrible idea, do you participate in Romance in your RPG journey? Because Romance like most other RPG mechanics requires you to identify, and have reasonable degrees of realism, with what you doing...hence the words " RP ". For example I wouldnt want to play an RPG like BG 3 as an earthworm So as a heterosexuals, male I dont want to be genderless because of how unrealistic and meaningless that would make Romance arcs...so no, terrible idea
  4. Thats a terrible suggestion KP, how would you initiate Romance arcs if that was how Romance was implemented ? I dont think all the characters should be bisexual because that is unrealistic to how Romance works in RL
  5. Weekend beckons which means its the ideal time for me to treat myself to a nice, "unhealthy ", hybrid English Breakfast. As I mentioned in the past I always add different accompaniments to the standard English Breakfast. Today I am having fried eggs, bacon, toast, fried banana and fried tomato ....damn their seem to be preponderance of the word " fried "
  6. What an informative link, I never knew that at all around the origins of the game Nice one, I am going to share that with some of my family who work for UK banks and we sometimes joke about things like monopoly and its relevance
  7. What !!!! Shady I am shocked you would support a game that is steeped in Capitalist ideology and supports the financial system which leads to inequality.....how do you sleep at night??
  8. Neo-Nazis are mostly former Democrats? Do you have examples of this because that is the first time I have heard that ? I am not saying you wrong, I would just like some links to corroborate that opinion?
  9. Valid point and accurate historical precedent matters around many debates we have nowadays But the world has changed a lot since the era of the Versailles Treaty and how Europeans voted and felt about their governments post-WW1 So for example when you look at the voting demographics and see exactly which groups of people voted for Trump its not the same reasons as why Mussolini or Hitler came to power
  10. I dont think its helpful to malign millions of US citizens and question their level of intelligence when it comes to "why would you vote for Trump ". I can give you several reasons why a vote for Trump makes sense for some but I am concerned with a world where people become obsessed with a person in politics and make them into some sort of "cult personality " They end up supporting the person irrespective of anything the person says or does and in the case of Trump some of his base decided only his views are true and they seem to ignore all forms of the media unless its Trump or right wing channels like FOX So you end up with a reality where people make voting decisions but its not based on being well informed about the actual policies or the persons real behavior . That worries me ?
  11. The thing is Trump did deliver on some real historical Republican objectives like the SC placements and tax breaks So I would imagine from a GOP popularity perspective and Republican voters he did do a good job and he did deliver on certain things But how his presidency ended with the Capitol violence was enough to put me permanently off ever wanting another 4 years of Trump....nothing is worth him refusing to accept the results of the 2020 election and also how he handled the pandemic in the USA
  12. I like Governor Cuomo, he did an excellent job during the first phase of terrible carnage of the pandemic and was an inspiration compared to Trumps misinformation. I also watched his press briefings around these allegations around sexual harassment and he made a fairly convincing argument that he is innocent and wont just step down I hope he can salvage his career and keep his job. He claims people have misunderstood his normal way he is with people, he says he is a very touchy person and normally hugs and kisses people as a way of connecting with them in a non-sexual way I do think he needs to change his behavior immediately but I dont think, at the moment with the current allegations, he should resign?
  13. https://www.pcgamer.com/todd-howard-there-was-very-little-we-didnt-screw-up-on-fallout-76-launch/ Guys great news and a positive development I hoped and believed would happen with Microsoft buying Bethesda. Todd Howard has acknowledged all the issues with the launch of Fallout 76 and also recognized how the Xbox team at Microsoft helped iron out problems and now " Howard rounded off his comments by noting that Fallout 76 is now "one of the most-played games on Xbox." I bought this game 2 years ago but haven't played it yet but with all additional work done its time for me to give it a try...and its also a good for anyone else who loves the Fallout universe to see what this game is like now ? Of course I will only play in on PC but the choice of gaming device is personal
  14. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-pledges-faster-vaccines-and-normalcy-in-primetime-speech/vi-BB1evtlF?fb_comment_id=1171497172969462_1171569652962214%3Fc So this is some really good, potentially, news for our American members. Biden says their could be a return to normalcy by 4 July Of course he is asking all citizens to continue to adhere to virus spread prevention best practice, like mask wearing, so we dont know how this rejection of best practice we are seeing in some states could interrupt this deadline but I am hoping the US can achieve this And I am little concerned with the overall vaccine rollout speeds. Compared to other countries, like Rwanda, UAE, Israel and the UK, the US is far behind for several reasons. Lets hope this will change and 4th July could become the best 4th July for Americans in living memory ...or ever
  15. I am still working towards a customer deadline but I have made real progress so I am going to be a little naughty today, its Friday, and I am going to stop working at lunchtime, 1pm, and give myself the afternoon off so I can do some gaming
  16. Its disappointing to me that a US citizen would honestly have a view that Trumpism and the views of prominent Democrats like Obama and Biden are exactly the same. Its egregious actually and I would assume no one who wants to engage in a real debate would ever say something so factually inaccurate Yes both groups have certain issues with the hegemony of China but that is to be expected. So maybe just be honest and say " I dont like CNN because they raise valid concerns with the way Chinese foreign policy is being implemented " But you dont need to play the race card when this is about Chinese political and global overreach ....its okay you can make that point without bringing " white people " into it. I promise you its a reasonable debate and we can have that discussion
  17. What are you talking about, yes I understand some of the criticism towards CNN but comments like this make me ask " do you actually watch CNN " ? And I am talking about CNN International which has journalists and shows with Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Becky Anderson and Michael Holmes Because these journalists are basically liberal, Democrat supporters, " anti-Trump " and support BLM and dont focus on the violence and anarchy caused by ANTIFA. They often call out and criticize the Republicans and you could argue ignore certain problems with how the Democrats do things. So I have no idea how you can say CNN supports "white, trash evangelical empires " .....in fact can you give me just one example of this? Just one Comrade ? I dont always agree with the framing of certain issues on CNN but they do more things right and fairly than wrong which is why its the one international channel I tend to watch the most of alongside Al Jazeera, BBC and Sky
  18. I know, I am just teasing you Their are many, many Georgians who know about Guam. CNN is based in Atlanta for example and all the journalists on CNN are generally well informed and would know this fact
  19. Hoonding can you imagine if Sputnick is proven to be most effective vaccine ....we might have to learn Russian !!!!
  20. Exactly what is being predicted, I was watching several doctors and epidemiologists on CNN in Texas who are saying the same thing and are genuinely worried And this whole intransigence from the Texas governor is purely political, one of the reasons he wants to remove masks is because " its impacting the economic recovery "?? How anyone can make that corollary confuses me. Its irresponsible and premature and because of the various strains reckless and could cost more people their lives I wonder if you can sue the Texas governor for this type of decision...but I suppose how would you prove people died because he said " you dont need to wear masks " because you dont know exactly where a person could have been exposed to the virus? So suing might be difficult even with the US culture of " we sue and litigate over everything and anything " ?
  21. I never ever assume people know anything about SA and its history ( its always nice when they do but its not expected ) and that sadly includes people living within SA. We have some citizens who have forgotten how Apartheid ended and more importantly they have forgotten the role that Nelson Mandela and many others from that time period played and worse than that they call him a " sell-out " and " traitor " but they havent bothered to understand the history of their own country and years between when Apartheid ended and our first real election in 1994. So these are citizens who basically have failed to study the history of SA from 1988-1994 and are happy to make public comments that are offensive, vacuous and happily demonstrate an utter lack of knowing their own history !!! But interestingly enough when I meet people outside of SA, like Europeans or Americans, they generally do know the story of Nelson Mandela and respect him for what he did and the role he played in creating the foundation for the new SA in 1994 So for me its strange that non-SA citizens sometimes know more about Nelson Mandela and SA history than some South Africans ?
  22. You make me laugh with how you sometimes frame things But yes they werent people elected to Congress but they were very interested in the quick history lesson I shared with them including the fact their are over 4 million white people living in SA so I always try to educate people if they want to hear and people are always receptive to these types of updates
  23. Comrade why have you changed your name ?
  24. I absolutely agree with this....but just for the record and in the interest of empirical evidence do you know anyone who currently lives in Georgia that knows about Guam? Because you said I promise you and that to me means " definitely " ????
  25. Gromnir you shouldn't be too hard on Americans who aren't that well informed on topics outside the USA....like geography ( even in this example Guam is considered "outside " ) Its more common than you may think and from my experience with meeting Americans its because the USA offers so much to its citizens their is less emphasis and interest on learning about things outside of the USA. So people tend to live in a bubble but then I have met US citizens who travel regularly and are very well informed I have on several occasions during visits to the USA, yes it happened in Vegas , met people in bars and social environments and when I told them I am from South Africa they genuinely were surprised and asked " but you white, I didn't know their were white people living in SA"
