  1. you guys need to learn to use the compass
  2. I thought Obscure occupied that position
  3. what? someone actually like Dark Alliance? I'm shocked
  4. you can also give them the souvenir 5 rockets from the Novac gift shop, that will be sufficient rocket fuel (but you may need to pass a science check)
  5. speaking of songs, anyone know if any of the FO games uses "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn?
  6. not really, you just need to disgrace the LEgion's embassador in front of Papa Khan (use his diary) and you're done. you also need to save one guy, who's crucified near a legion camp, but there are no patrols nearby. when you talk to Mr.House, he goes on about how he plans to restore the wasteland, launch a space mission, blah blah blah. apparently, he only does so if you open his sarcophagus
  7. my caps on that
  8. go south from Primm and then east along the road, you'll get to NV in no time
  9. apparently you steal the key to the door on the lower deck. I never bothered to look for the key. by that time I already had close to 30000 caps
  10. it may have been the original design, but in my eyes it's far from how the game actually turned out EDIT: wait, Arcanum had turn-based combat? I don't remember that. I guess my memory is really bad...
  11. oh come on. you're comparing two completely different beasts. JA2 is all about combat. squad-based combat. and FO is about running errands for NPCs, explore the world. the combat is there just for the sake of having it, because every RPG should have it. FO was ahead of it's time, it never should've been an isometric turn-based game in the first place.
  12. I was lv 18, I think. LCK 3 btw
  13. I had well over a 100 when I first entered the Sunset Sarsaparilla building
  14. 51 caps, you get a laser gun named Pew Pew
  15. hay, I loved every part of FO1 and 2. but that was back in 1998. 12 years later, a person that never played them? I tried playing FO2 last year and couldn't bring myself to.
  16. C, if you know what's good for you, don't you're gonna hate the combat, the game's pace (well, first half of FO1 is very good, but after you reach your intermediate goal, it drops), the only thing good about FO 1 and 2 are some quests, the dreaded C&C and dialogues. and the humor of course, but that's not suited for everyone. you'd be better off watching a Let's Play
  17. it's everywhere by the way. I've seen it more than once in fridges and ovens
  18. you need only 51 of those
  19. yeah, that was my first thought when I saw that line
  20. I think it depends on your reputation with them. After I failed the Bear quest I became neutral with them (from Idolized IIRC), so they wouldn't attack me but didn't like me either
  21. selling your ps3 and upgrading your PC would be the next logical step
  22. haha, this is just pure evil! I just remembered there was a named item, some toy truck. I couldn't figure out what it was for.
  23. probably missed the right NPC. for the NCR it's either Hsu or Boyd at McCarran, for the Followers it's Benny's friend obviously.
  24. ugh, I didn't even have a safe house. got through 80 hours of play without one and did fine
