  1. Yeah...I don't know about this. I've always enjoyed a good character creation screen. It's one of the reasons why I love RPGs so much. Every personal detail adds an extra degree of flavour, making your experience more unique. Having a limit on playable races detracts from this somewhat. This isn't a problem if every system involved is deep enough, but just hearing "there will only be two available races" doesn't sound very appealing no matter how you slice it. While we're at it, not many games these days (at least in my opinion) have done this well. While not a role playing game, Skull & Bones has a measly amount of presets, with all of them looking mediocre at best. Still, if everything else surrounding this is good, then I'll be willing to sacrifice this part of the game.
  2. Indeed they are! Out of every channel that I'm subscribed to, I come back to his the most for this very reason.
  3. I've been putting off this game for ages. Might finally play it now. Shame that this is happening to the studio.
  4. Finished Tales From the Borderlands yesterday. What a ride!
  5. Man, I've been meaning to play Arcanum for the longest time. There's no excuse to be honest, other than a massive backlog of 20+ games.
  6. Started Weird West today. One hour in so far and I'm craving more.
  7. He's probably the only guy on YouTube who I look forward to watching. So many interesting stories. Can't wait to see who he brings along for the next interview.
  8. Haha, alright I'll raise you. The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
  9. Lol idk, reading the Star Wars film posters as "Episode 4: A New Hope" doesn't look right to me.
  10. Fallout 4 is great when you close your eyes and pretend it's got nothing to do with the IP. Starfield has the excuse of being a separate thing at least.
  11. Story of my life tbh.
  12. Strongly agree. Every vid has been both informative and interesting. Very happy to hear that about Obsidian too, not that it surprised me tbh
  13. I will never forgive Kai Leng for what he did to Thane. Dumb plot armour aside, he needed a fate worse than death for that.
  14. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. That crap Gollum game persuaded to give this a try having already played Shadow of War. Only one hour into it so far but it's been a damn good time. I'm not even a LOTR fan either.
  15. Gran Turismo 7. Look at these beautiful machines!
  16. Lol, that is a good point. As somebody who isn't a fan of LOTR, it confuses me as to why you'd want to play as Gollum. He's better at being a supporting character. Maybe they wanted to rival the Styx games? I don't know, but man they could've at least made something competent. $2 emotes for a single player game says it all.
  17. LOTR Gollum is out today and it's apparently awful. Thought it was going to be just "meh" but it's getting destroyed everywhere.
  18. I think the problem with Borderland's quest design is that Gearbox hasn't changed it much in 14+ years. Most of them are fun to complete but as you said, they stop being enjoyable after you've already completed them five times over. This is mostly why they gave us additional objectives with different rewards to make you want to go through them again. Trying every vault hunter is actively encouraged as things definitely change for the better as you experience the story with a different face each time. I'd argue that BL3 has the best level design simply because it's now easier to traverse (thanks to platforming) and there are more paths you can take which never used to be the case. What does bother me, however, is the abundance of legendary gear after you reach level 50. On the one hand, a higher chance of getting loot is excellent as this makes it less of a grind and way more entertaining. On the other hand, these weapons become useless as you'll be finding a new shiny gun five minutes later. This is mitigated somewhat by having dozens to choose from, but they're not as rare as they used to be in previous games. Glad to see you're liking Moze. Playing as her makes it more of a challenge, same goes with Zane. TVHM isn't what it used to be but can still be really fun as you experiment with different builds. FL4K is cool as hell despite making everything easier.
  19. It's sad to see it in such a state. Only got round to playing VTMB two months ago in preparation.
  20. BL3 does include the option to customize them at least. Trinkets, skins and most guns have alternate firing modes too.
  21. As a long time Borderlands fan, I think the third entry has some of the best gameplay (QoL improvements) but easily the worst writing. It serves as an excuse to shoot things which would be fine if it wasn't so insultingly awful. TTWL rectifed this with a much better story but with a barebones endgame tacked on.
  22. Yeah, he randomly popped up in my feed last week or so. Subbed straight away.
  23. Bit late to this, but what perspective would this be played in? FPS or top down? Sounds interesting either way.
  24. Hey there. Thanks for that! As it's still in active development, things will change over time. If there's anything you're unsure of, let me know and I'll fix it. Appreciate the kind words!
