What are you Playing Now? - Games don't make you violent, lag does
I think the problem with Borderland's quest design is that Gearbox hasn't changed it much in 14+ years. Most of them are fun to complete but as you said, they stop being enjoyable after you've already completed them five times over. This is mostly why they gave us additional objectives with different rewards to make you want to go through them again. Trying every vault hunter is actively encouraged as things definitely change for the better as you experience the story with a different face each time. I'd argue that BL3 has the best level design simply because it's now easier to traverse (thanks to platforming) and there are more paths you can take which never used to be the case. What does bother me, however, is the abundance of legendary gear after you reach level 50. On the one hand, a higher chance of getting loot is excellent as this makes it less of a grind and way more entertaining. On the other hand, these weapons become useless as you'll be finding a new shiny gun five minutes later. This is mitigated somewhat by having dozens to choose from, but they're not as rare as they used to be in previous games. Glad to see you're liking Moze. Playing as her makes it more of a challenge, same goes with Zane. TVHM isn't what it used to be but can still be really fun as you experiment with different builds. FL4K is cool as hell despite making everything easier.

BL3 does include the option to customize them at least. Trinkets, skins and most guns have alternate firing modes too.

As a long time Borderlands fan, I think the third entry has some of the best gameplay (QoL improvements) but easily the worst writing. It serves as an excuse to shoot things which would be fine if it wasn't so insultingly awful. TTWL rectifed this with a much better story but with a barebones endgame tacked on.

Yeah, he randomly popped up in my feed last week or so. Subbed straight away.

New Game Idea With Partial Focus On Actual Issues Near Real Time
Bit late to this, but what perspective would this be played in? FPS or top down? Sounds interesting either way.

Twine Project
Hey there. Thanks for that! As it's still in active development, things will change over time. If there's anything you're unsure of, let me know and I'll fix it. Appreciate the kind words!

What are you Playing Now? It's not how you play the game, it's how you place the blame
Two great picks there. Which reminds me, need to play Subnautica again soon.

Been playing Bound By Flame recently. It isn't very good because of how it tries to be every mainstream RPG and doesn't succeed at borrowing any of the mechanics which made said games great in the first place. It's fun in small doses, but keep going for long enough and the cracks begin to show. One thing they got right was the tactical menu, which the devs (Spiders) brought back for Greedfall, which I thought was underrated.

You're right, my bad! I'll get it fixed.

Twine Project
Hello everyone. I used to study game art in college, but after leaving I've not had much practice. Thought I'd make my own text based adventure using the Twine engine. It takes cues from past Obsidian titles in regards to its writing (New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, The Outer Worlds) and other games too (Elder Scrolls, Greedfall, etc). It's nowhere near finished yet and in no way shape or form on par with any of those games when it comes to writing, but it's been fun. Can't share the HTML file as it exceeds the maximum size (when it's done it will be even larger). Instead, you can play a demo of it here if you wish: https://www.mediafire.com/file/b5c1e0i3htm8z4z/Fortune_SeekersDEMO.html/file Feedback is appreciated both positive and negative. There are glaring issues such as arcs that lead to nowhere and what have you, so keep that in mind. Thank you EDIT: Link should be working now.

Excuse the late reply, but I find myself in a similar situation. Been looking around various websites and while most of them provide helpful guidance that's easy enough to follow, the more advanced lessons aren't free. You've got to pay for a subscription which is to be expected I guess. I've yet to find somewhere that gives me enough of what I need without having to spend money. There are various YouTube tutorials but they only get you so far. To get around this, I've been practicing with Twine, which requires small amounts of coding. It's not much but better than nothing right? As for C++, you could try here: https://cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/introduction/ Hope this helps in some capacity.- PoE on PS5
SellSwordDev replied to SellSwordDev's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Excellent, thanks for the summary PS5s often load in very quickly. They do have built-in SSDs but you can buy upgraded ones. Shouldn't be a problem though. New bugs sound a bit annoying but like you stated above, if it's nothing gamebreaking then it's fine. I'm forgiving when it comes to technical issues. Cheers for the reply mate!- PoE on PS5
Hey everyone. Was looking for a new game to play and wondered if I should buy PoE. Thing is, I don't have a PC which is capable of running games (not at a good enough speed anyway). Is it worth getting on PS5? I've seen videos and it looks great, but does it have less features than its PC counterpart? Are there any major changes? Thank you in advance!- OW2
SellSwordDev replied to RogueSeraph257's topic in The Outer Worlds: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)That would be nice. Or maybe somebody else alongside him. - Learning resources
