Well, I called my former boss that's on 75% sick leave and asked for help, he made a phone call, and a couple of hours later when I called down to the boss he said they had put the vehicle back in traffic. It does show that now. I'm still really annoyed, because it hadn't been taxed for 13 months, so they've saved about 4000$ in tax money. There is a foundation in Sweden that you pay a penalty fee to if you forget to insure your vehicle while it's road registered, and when someone smashes into another entity funds get taken from that foundation to pay for repairs/replacements, injury compensations and other such costs that normally would be handled by insurance. That fee is around 30$ per day for a truck, so in my opinion they should've had to pay 30*400, or 12000$ to that foundation aswell. No wonder they can undercut honest Swedish drivers. I really miss my old boss, he'd have them hung by their scrotums for this.

I'm the same, I enjoyed it immensly and I think it reflected well on the fact that you actually were a taxi driver and not, as someone in the comments section wrote, John Wick. But yeah, it looks... run of the mill. I'm pretty certain they will have equally neutered (To my tastes) driving model. I didn't pay any attention to what they were saying to be honest, I just really disliked the sound and looks of the characters, the modern version really does sound technically better, I'm just talking about the generall sound of them.

It's pretty I'll give 'em that. It's been a while since I played through the original mafia now, but I don't remember exploding barrels being a staple. I don't remember Tommy being quite as skilled in gun-fu either, I remember him being alot slower. Edit; Went and looked for some Mafia 1 gunplay, and what actually struck me much more was the difference in recoil on the weapons. Mafia 1 actually moved your screen when shooting more forcefully, and the new tommygun doesn't seem to recoil at all. Edit 2; Forgot to add the old gameplay vid. Same mission.

So as I'm working as a dispatcher at the moment, and I'm going bored AF, I decided to check some license plates against the DMV equivalent in Sweden, and found a truck that was registered as "not in traffic" meaning it's untaxed, and also uninsured. I reported it to my boss as I felt it was proper, and my boss response was... nothing. An hour later the truck came in here with orders to take another of our trailers to a customer. I'm thinking about calling the cops directly.

Got a mail from my boss about needing to take vacation, I'm being told that I have to take 25 days off. Going to refuse ofcourse, but still; Lol. I was going to use all my days for Cyberpunk 2077, but now that it is being released in November it's kind of pointless. Going to try and get some form of surgery on my foot scheduled for then, I've got a bone growth ontop of my foot that is a PITA when using any form of shoe that ties in that area. Edit; Also; 45 minutes into my workday, already getting antsy and irritated.

You get that to hook up to your new computer, and I will admit defeat

I still have one, and I like it. I did notice a little bit of quality increase, i.e. better separation of sound, and the software is better than it is for the onboard.

I'm glad to hear it, I hope it stays so -------- I'm back on the day shift since my little student decided she needs a vacation, so I'm stuck behind a keyboard for 4 weeks. It's been two hours and I'm already going numb in the noggin, I'm so skull****ingly bored that I don't know what to do, and I'm getting quite a bit of anxiety about regaining the weight I've lost while working properly for the past months.

Eastern European drivers often have manuals, the only Swedish registered manual truck I've seen is the one that belongs to the mechanics that fixes our trailers, it's old as hell but they don't drive it a whole lot.

I did read through a few of the linked articles and the RT one for instance went trough the typical spiel of Sweden doubling it's crime rate when it comes to rape the past few years.

I played around with the thought of doing a custom loop for my computer, using copper tubing. Gave up on that idea though and got an AIO, I wanted the computer up and running fast.
